Property Ratings at Laurelwood Oaks
Horrible management all the way around, They think rules don’t apply to them and their guests, like they do for tenants which can be annoying. Property manager takes forever to get back to you about stuff that needs fixing and is never in her office. During summer months the pool is almost always dirty so you can’t really enjoy it, and there is a huge bug problem they just don’t seem to take care of. I used to enjoy living here while Tara was in charge she took care of the apartments/property, and made sure tenants were happy but now with this new landlord Jessica it’s been horrible. These apartments are managed by MD Atkinson, I would stay away from any apartments associated with them after the way they’ve treated us as tenants this past year.
It is a decent apartment if you do not live next to one of the dumpsters and have to deal with the smell and the constant noise from the homeless rummaging through them at 3am. Lived there for 2 years. We kept our apartment very clean and when we moved out my wife and I cleaned the apartment better than it was when we moved in. They used $360 of our $600 deposit for re-painting, shampooing the carpets and cleaning that was already done by my wife and I. Total rip off. Tenants should not have to pay for the apartments expenses of preparing their units. Beware of deposit rip off. I feel like we got royally screwed over on the deposit. Rent at your own risk. You have been warned.
If I could give 0 stars, I would! The only good thing I liked about these apts is the location and size you get. That is all. I’ve lived here for 4 yrs with no problems, enjoyed my time until we got a new landlord named Jessica, everything has gone downhill! Cars are constantly being stolen, people don’t resect the rules here anymore, your designated parking spots are constantly being taken up and every time any of us complain for her to take care of it like the previous landlords she does not bat an eye. She does not care and makes it difficult to live here now. My opinion is do not move here unless you will never be home.
Everything breaks and feels unsteady. You’re paying too much for something that’s not very nice. Property management is great, and will try to solve all issues but quality of living here is garbage. Shouldn’t be having to call management to come out and fix toilets, water heaters , leaks, etc EVERY-WEEK. Don’t get into a lease here. You can find something cheaper and better
Major mail theft over the past 4 months and management does nothing. Washers and dryers and few and there has never been a time all 4 washers and 4 dryers are in good working condition. Management IS quick to jump if you’re “out of line” (parked in the wrong spot).
Love my loft and it is Perfect for me as a student. Very quiet complex.
Tara was able to move us in really quick and was very nice and professional. We love our new home!
Very friendly people respond to requests quickly, but unfortunately they cannot fix their bug issue. If it weren't for that, fair price for good apartment layout. If you don't mind bugs, by all means - move in.
I really like it here. Great space, washer dryer hook ups, quiet. My family is very happy.
I wouldn't recommend this place to live. The street noise is unbearable when you are in one of the apartments facing the street. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place if you are a student (noise makes it impossible to study or ever be well rested for class, or work fir that matter. The price shouldn't be as high when you deal with the noise and the waterbugs that invade your patio and your apartment. Way too much money to deal with either of those, let alone one.
