Property Ratings at Laurens Way
The office personnel are pleasant. I have called them more than the average tenant. They still manage to be patient and handle my issues with haste. The maintenance personnel do what they are suppose to. Seems like they are the first ones up moving around the complex and last to turn in for the night. Apartments are standard with upgrades being done continuously. I like living here because there are no safety, noise, or disrespectful issues. They have a pool that they keep up. Haven't visited the gym quite yet, don't judge! LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!
Lauren’s Way is described by Drucker and Falk as “luxury apartments.” If your idea of luxury is old, rusty, tiny and the cheapest kitchen appliances, this is the place for you—if not, RUN. The apartment is spray painted over stains, nicks, plastered holes, dust, and bugs. I am the third person that I know of in the last 6 months in my building to have the old rusted hot water heater burst and flood the apartment. My refrigerator was making noises and losing temperature, causing bad freezer food. After 7 months of complaining, they replaced it with a worse unit. They said that they will let me out of my lease, and refuse to put it in writing. Neighbors are very nice and going through the same experiences. Some report roaches breeding in dishwashers. No wonder—“mandatory” extermination does not show up. I keep my own apartment exterminated so that I do not have the problems of which others are complaining. I waited a month from original move in date to move in when I was told that the apartment was being cleaned. The apartment was newly spray painted over old paint, nicks, badly filled holes, dust, bugs; the carpet was stained, the spray paint could not hide the tattered, decaying kitchen cabinets and the holes in the bathroom walls. It was extreme concerning to me that my “cleaned” apartment had light globes filled with bugs. I submitted the paperwork with the original condition of the apartment, and was told 7 months later that the submission was lost.
DO NOT Waste your money at this apartment complex!! They DO NOT take care of their renters!! The hearts are full of wood roaches coming up through the drains! Even after asking them to spray and they say they will nobody shows up!! The price is WAY over rated with newer Apartment complex is coming up they do not match what the newer complexes have to offer with the price you pay at LAURENS WAY!!
Hello All! MUST READ BEFORE RENTING! I have been renting with Lauren's Way Apartments for 2 years, and everything was going fine until a couple weeks ago. I had an issue with a deposit. As soon as I recognized it I contacted the apartment complex and explained the situation. I told them that my direct deposite will be in just 2 days past the written date on their letter. I offered to give them a print out from my employer to show the pending deposite, and also explained that I have NEVER PAID LATE in the 2 years I've lived here.The office manager said that it doesn't matter how long I've lived here, or if I'm a good resident. She was going to file court papers against me on that date no matter what I say. Then proceeded to tell me that in addition to the late fee, I will also be charged $250 because I have to pay their attorney to file court papers. What?! She made me feel like complete garbage, and offered no consolation about the news. I told her this was a terrible way to do business, and was in complete shock that they would do this to me. I fought as hard as I could to get through to her, and she hung up on me. I reached out to the corporate office, and explained the situation to her manager...At that moment I saw where the river of poor business skills was coming from. He was demeaning in his tone, and told me that the manager at Lauren's Way is not allowed to make decisions, and she would have been written up if she didn't file court papers on me...regardless if she felt that I was going to pay. WHO TREATS A LONG TERM, GOOD RESIDENT LIKE THIS? I don't know why, but I went ahead and paid them what they wanted, and they cashed on it immediately. I am disgusted with their service and want to cut my losses and get out of here. My lease is up in 30 days and who knows what kind of games they are going to play with me for posting this review. They do not value their residents, and treat us like cattle. The reason for this is they know there is always going to be another one right behind you...so why be concerned with showing respect, or good customer service to hard working residents? What a shame. If you still choose to rent from Lauren's Way Apartments just remember that they will chop your head off the second you have trouble, regardless as to how committed you are. I advise never cutting them any breaks for things they do not follow through with, they will never cut you one.
This was the first apartment that my boyfriend and I had ever rented together (It was my very first apartment ever) and we have not been disappointed. The staff is always helpful and know us by name! It feels very welcoming whenever we have a concern or complaint and they hear us, know who we are, and take care of our needs. We never feel like we're being under served or over charged when it comes to needed maintenance done. They even changed our water spouts and shower heads FOR FREE that ended up saving us money on our water bill! We've never had a problem with the apartment itself and love that there is a pool less than 50 yards from out apartment! Definitely recommend.
