Known as the City of Destiny, Tacoma sits on Commencement Bay in the southern portion of Puget Sound. Just minutes from Seattle, Tacoma is the birthplace of internationally-acclaimed glass artist Dale Chihuly. His work is spotted throughout the city, especially the Chihuly Bridge of Glass at the Museum of Glass, a 500-foot-long pedestrian overpass linking the Museum of Glass to Downtown Tacoma. You can create your own work of blown glass at the Tacoma Glassblowing Studio.
In addition to its creative culture, Tacoma offers residents and visitors access to world-renowned museums, unique venues, and outdoor recreation. Explore the rotating exhibits at LeMay-America’s Car Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, and Washington State History Museum. Grab a drink at Bob’s Java Jive or Dorky’s Bar Arcade before you head to a performance at Rialto Theater or the Tacoma Dome. Peruse the shops at Tacoma Mall and B & I Shopping Center. Take a hike, visit the zoo, and rent kayaks in Point Defiance Park.

Property Ratings at Lawn Courte Apartments
I love living here at Lawn Courte! The property managers- Danielle and Kali- are both very responsive to their tenants needs and Marc the awesome maintenance man is quick to fix ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that needs fixing. Great small community with friendly tenants. The only downfall about this complex is that the gate to the community isn't working and I wish it was!
I moved because the latest management company raised rents significantly but with no increased value: there's no swimming pool, no gym, no play areas. Management calls this a "gated community" but the security gates haven't worked in years. There’s no sound insulation between floors; I heard every step my upstairs neighbors took…and more. I don’t have children but if you do, beware: management is hostile about children playing on the lawn, which leaves just the parking lot as a play area. Forget the advertised "walking/biking trails"; they don't exist. The buildings are dated and most of the appliances and fixtures are worn out: the water heater in my unit failed; two of the wall heaters failed; as did the dishwasher and a bathroom exhaust fan; my upstairs neighbors’ water heater leaked into my unit; management did not repair the damage to my walls. It took the latest handyman four attempts to fix a dripping faucet. And don't pay the ridiculous $300 admin fee; check around: it seems only Lawn Courte charges this.
Just moved in and Kristen made is as easy as it could be. The response by maintenance is amazing as well. We are glad to call this community home. Thanks Kristen.
Moved in here about 3 months ago. Great experience with the manager during move in and after! She isn't always in the office, I think she manages multiple properties but she always responds to your emails right away so its nice. The grounds look good, expect when the kids tear up bushes and trees but the maintenance is good about cleaning it up throughout the week. Its peaceful and quiet most of the time, the back lawn/yard is nice to look out your patio at. The location is great too, right in the north end close to the narrows bridge for commuters and easy access to Hwy 16 to I5. All in all I am enjoying my time here. Would recommend!
I have lived in Lawn Courte for a few years now and I have to say that the new management we have is fantastic. I was really considering leaving after the last people they had here. They didn't do any up keep and the property seemed to just slowly go downhill. But this new company is complete opposite. They are doing a lot of upgrades around the grounds, put in a brand new custom fence around the whole property and the landscaping looks better than it has prior. The office manager is wonderful, she's friendly and helpful and always has a smile for us when we walk in. She is really making some positive changes and the new maintenance guy is great too. This is the first time in at least a year that you can get your repairs completed quickly! All in all i have to say this is a great place to live. Its quiet and the back green belt in back is great to look at off your deck instead of your average apartment buildings that look onto each other and you have no privacy. We are really happy here and would recommend this place for anyone looking in the Tacoma area.
I love the greenbelt and trees in the backyard. Sometimes you see a whole family of deers. My only caveat, too many smokers for me to enjoy the back yard. I don't bother with putting out chairs and a table because of the smoke. Also, I moved in over 5 years ago and they were supposed to replace my bathroom floors. They've finally changed the Kitchen floors 3 years later. Old yellow appliances. Not up to date.
Wood burning fireplaces, private patios and balconies, Clubhouse with a full kitchen for lounging or entertaining. Assigned parking with every home. Pet friendly, Nearby shopping at Westgate plus convenient public transportation. Close to beaches and everything Point Defiance has to offer.
