Property Ratings at LC SoBro
If you are reading this, take this as your sign, and saving grace TO NOT LIVE HERE, unless you want to feel unsafe, have the elevator go down constantly, and be locked out of your floor. We have a stairwell to our building that doesn't have any keyed access for residence. Meaning If you are in the stairwell, you get trapped and don't have access back in. This is typically fine, however our elevator goes down and if you use the stairwell, you have no option of getting back up to your apartment unit. I believe this is a fire safety problem. Given that I can't get back on my floor, and since the building doesn't put a key fob on the stairwell doors, anyone can access the building when the doors are taped open. Because there is no internal separation within the stairway, people can get into the stairway on one of the unsecured parking floors, and then walk up the stairway to any of the secured office floors. Although the doors between the stairs and office floors can be kept locked, this requires that locks be installed on each floor. People coming down the stairway can freely exit, but people wishing to go up the stairway from the bottom floor should have to use a key or card to open the locked. However we don't have any keypads on the doors. Meaning you are locked out of your floor in the event the elevator goes down, and it will go down. Beware that the building is full of Airbnb “sonder” renters, which they don’t disclose to you when you move in. These are tourists visiting the city, so they don’t care about the cleanliness or noise levels. Trash is often left in elevators, and it’s not rare to find vomit on the floor. The locked doors to the building are often propped open by these people which is a safety issue. They have a package room which is not utilized like it should be. While it does have a code, packages are left out in the open and we had packages stolen. The reviews on here are true about the parking, however it wasn’t an extreme issue for us. You can only park one car in the parking garage (but the gate was broke a few times and left open, again a safety issue) and your other car has to be parked in a gravel lot across the street.

Thank you for your feedback! We pride ourselves on making the building as secure as possible so we are very sorry you didn't feel secure here. Additionally, the office works dilligently to correct the errors delivery drivers make when not utilizing our secure package sustem correctly, so that all residents items are secured. Again, we apologize your experience wasn't as we strive to have.
I would not recommend anyone to live here. The apartments are pretty but it is not worth it. The area is not safe and there is not enough parking for residents in the garage. They reserved a bunch of spots for Airbnbs. Parking outside will get you towed or your car broken into. Your guests cars will especially be booted or towed every time. There is only 1 elevator in the building and its extremely slow. You don’t even have the option to use the stairs because the keep them locked at all times. Management is nice to your face but if you use the resident work space at all you will hear them loudly talking bad about residents and cussing in the open upstairs area. The price is also not worth the trouble AT ALL. There are so many other apartments in better areas, for better prices, and that are run better. To top off my horrible experience they are now forcing me to pay $300 for "scratches on the stovetop." Not worth it.
Do NOT rent here. We live on the 6th floor and our apartment has flooded twice between Dec 2021 and Feb 2022. We have only been living here since October of 2021. Management and Maintenance said they fixed the issue the first time but they clearly didn't. The second flood was even worse and came pouring down through our light fixtures. Its been at least 5 days and Management/Maintenance has not even come to assess any damages or do a safety check on any possible dangerous electrical issues. We've been lied to from management about window companies coming to look at the issue and maintenance bringing us fans to help dry to leak. No Window company Management blamed us for their Maintenances poor lack of communication with Management. They even made it a significantly difficult time for us when we tried to request a mold check. They never showed us any results either. The property manager here is extremely rude and unprofessional. I also agree with most everyone else that the Parking situation is absolutely terrible.
Do not live here. It is a dangerous and loud area. There is no parking and if there is a spot it is likely you will get towed, booted, or get a ticket. The situation here is unacceptable. Save yourself and live somewhere else.

There is constant issues about parking and towing. Do not live here. The architecture of the apt is bad from the beginning.
Do not live here!! There are not enough parking spots in the two garages for all the residents which results in no one being able to leave. As a result, residents are forced to park in makeshift lots, only to have their car windows shattered and cars broken into. They even had the nerve to take spots away from paying residents to make room for Airbnb guests. So now, the little spots we did have are reserved for non-residents.
Don’t move here! The people managing this place doesn’t care about the safety of the residents. The owners are horrid landlords.
This complex is horrible. Parking is a dangerous issue every night. Also, the walls are so cheap and ridiculously easy to scratch up. These apartments aren't going to look nice once all current tenants move out. For all the money we pay, tenants deserve to feel safe about their cars and have them parked in the deck every night. This complex is awful and it is much easier to find nicer ones around downtown.
They don’t have enough parking spots for each tenant but will accommodate Sonder Airbnb/vrbo customers. They suggested that their tenants use Uber. That shouldn’t have to be done. Cars parked outside of the parking garage get broken into every night. One car was broken into 3 times. Apparently it is t a safe area.
If you have a car, forget it. There is absolutely no parking. Their best solution is to have residents park at other businesses properties and to make it worse, there have been MULTIPLE car break ins, many in one night. If your car doesn’t get broken into you will at least get a ticket or towed in some places: They have a “security guard” but apparently was not around during said break ins.
When you live on the courtyard floor and a heavy rain occurs expect your entire apartment to be flooded at this apartment complex. Renters insurance does not cover flood damage from rain and we was not warned to get flood insurance for a apartment on the fourth floor! The response from the leasing office is “there’s nothing we can really do about it”. Potential renters beware! Now we are stuck with property damages and flood clean up on our own. Ridiculous, expected some type of reimbursement at least, but all we received was it’s not our problem attitude from management and maintenance. No heavy rain should flood the entire apartment or multiple units especially when you live on a upper floor!!!

I moved in this apartment in July and for almost 4 months I’ve been awaken between 230 am and 430am by waste management picking up and slamming dumpsters. I contacted the leasing office and nothing has been done in regards to this. If you would LOVE to sleep peacefully do NOT move in any apartments in building C that are at the intersection of Ash st and 2nd Ave. It will literally be a nightmare.
