They do everything to get you to move in, but on moving out, you’ll get hustled. Three month’s worth of fictitious utilities bill shows up after you’ve moved out, and you get an extra late fee for contesting it. Also got an extra $150 “rent” charge after moving out before due date, and giving prior notice as agreed.

They will nickel and dime you upon moveout. Are incredibly slow with any kind of communication you attempt with them. Somehow the maintenance team was the best part of the staff at this complex. Though I only had to deal with them as I had several instances of appliances breaking throughout the lease.

By far the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. For several months they were charging me $50 late fees claiming that I never had Renters Insurance even though I physically sat down with their staff as they directed me to the Lemonade.com and got my insurance information before submitting my application. It took months of showing them MULTIPLE times the proof of insurance and coverage dates before they removed the fees. There have also been times where utility bills get posted to your portal account after the 3rd of the month and they attempt to charge you late fees for not paying on time. I've also reported heavy drug use in the common areas of my apartment for several months which staff has not taken seriously. I asked for a walk-through multiple times while I'm home and was denied by staff. Then was told 3 months later that they did a walk-through when nobody was home (how convenient) and didn't see any evidence of drug use, and also made no attempt to inform me of the walk through. Despite me having several pictures and videos of the drug use that is occurring. Stay as far away from this place as you can get.

One of the reasons I signed a lease here was that it was off campus, cheap, has a gym, and was on the bus route for campus. We had a constant bug problem (I lived with semi-clean roommates), residents don't pick up their dogs waste, and the office will treat you like you're a child NOT and adult. I went in with a happy attitude to ask for a mail key I was never given, questions about renewing, and to let them know the previous roommates dog had left damage (they didnt know about the dog) and every time I was treated like an annoyance. They also randomly started requiring a key for the clubhouse and told none of the residents about it. Also, they make you fill out a roommate compatibility form so they can supposedly place you according to the people in the apartment and they stick you in an apartment with roommates who are completely different than you. I said I was quiet, clean, and up early and asleep early and all my roommates were the opposite. I also stated that I didn't want to live with pets and they assigned me to an apartment with two dogs. Another friend I had lived here and she requested no pets as well (due to an allergy) and she was stuck with three cats and two dogs. Also, the dishwasher we occasionally used kept breaking, and our dryer. Honestly, I stayed through the whole lease because it was the cheapest apartment in San Marcos that offered the most amenities but it wasn't worth it. I was financially supporting myself through college and I would only recommend this place because of the price. Nothing else. I'm not the kind of person to write reviews but I had to for this.

UClub is a great place for all students! They really care about your safety and comfort! They are also conveniently located near campus, the movie theatre, and tons of yummy restaraunts!
It's not worth it. The bugs are everywhere and they do nothing to fix it. In fact they do nothing to fix anything.
