Often regarded as Cincinnati’s most desirable neighborhood, Hyde Park is picturesque with charming historic homes and spacious tree-lined streets. At the center of the neighborhood lies Hyde Park Square, teeming with more than 175 unique shops, galleries, and restaurants for residents and visitors to explore.
In addition to Hyde Park Square, the neighborhood is known for containing the Cincinnati Observatory, a National Historic Landmark (and fully functional observatory) that’s home to the world’s oldest telescope. Hyde Park is also convenient to the expansive Ault Park, which is revered for its historic pavilion, lush gardens, and scenic trails.
Hyde Park fosters a sense of community with an array of exciting events, such as the annual Hyde Park Art Show, Hyde Park Blast, and the seasonal Hyde Park Farmers’ Market. Located just five miles from the heart of Downtown Cincinnati, Hyde Park offers residents easy access to all that the city has to offer.

Property Ratings at Leesburg Apartments HydePark/Oakley
This was mine and my bf’s first apartment. We didn’t get to tour it due to us being out of state and in a pickle and the landlord (jamie) who is amazing! Helped us out a lot and I think we got lucky. Yeah there are bugs here and there and the drains clog easily but it’s seriously a great place and I feel safe and the people in the community are kind. This is a perfect place that’s affordable. Been here for about 2 years now. Definitely recommend.
I moved here just after I graduated and got into one of the studio apartments. They are small, but I didn't have much. Staff is super nice, matainence responds quickly to issues (I've only had 2 in my 4 years here). The area is great, not really noisy. Only thing I have to pay for is Rent and Electric, which means property owner controls the heat, not a big issue tho. Negatives: Apartments are not super accessible, there atr some handicap apartments, In the winter the parking lot is not always plowed right away so snow and ice and freeze over. Because of the location of MY unit, Doordash or other delivery services have issues finding the place. Overall a great place for someone who is starting off living on their own, the cheap rent (for the area) allows for saving up and planning future. It is close to Oakley Square, Hyde Park Square, Rookwood and Redbank Plazas, Mt. Lookout, and to both major highways (71 and 75).
This apartment should be the last option on your list. I moved in back in 2020 and only stayed for a year that's how bad it was. THE FIRST THING about here is that I paid a down deposit and was given a tour of a nice apartment and was told that it would be the same and that was a lie. They gave us a date and time to move in and when we got there it was dirty and cleaning supplies were everywhere fridge was not together so much food build up under the stove BUGS EVERYWHERE garbage disposal wasn’t working and very smelly also carpets were nasty after I was told that they were clean and that was a lie I had to go buy a cleaner and do it myself and was no help couldn’t even walk barefoot in my place so-called home. In the summer there are a lot of bees. My boyfriend was stung by 20 bees at one time he had to go to the emergency we called the 24/7 maintenance number got an answer and were told we had to deal with ourselves or there was a charge for them to come out. This situation traumatized him. One last thing when it was time to get our deposit back I gave them my forwarding address also wrote it down and they sent it back to the apartment we stayed in. They knew what they were doing because when I got the mail the forwarding address wasn’t even on there!! The worst experience is the saying you get what you pay for.
I was in a desperate situation when I moved in and was unable to tour before signing the lease. I never would have moved here had I known you don’t control your own heat, the landlord controls it. They wait too long to turn it on; the beginning of fall means I spend days freezing in my apartment. Same with spring, if they turn it off too early. The bathrooms don’t have outlets or fans. Bugs (crickets, termites, roaches) have wondered in every now and then. They do spray around the base boards and outside but it only does so much. The upside? It’s a cute little community in a great location.
Very unsafe living condition, cockroach infestation, air conditioner give off bad odor and poor air quality, no carbon monoxide detectors, drains are old and clogged frequently with no garbage disposal, bathrooms have no fans and so mold builds up quickly. Management doesn’t care or maintain the property, only do as little as possible to save money.
If you are interested in never having peace then rent here. Its by a busy road way, the property is dull and unkempt. The apartments are renovated with low quality materials and Jim and the office staff will charge you to restore normal wear and tear when you move out. The only reason there are so many "great place to live" reviews is because tenants are offered gift card to leave reviews. Avoid this place if you can. I would've rather slept in my car.
I just stayed at Leesburg apartments from January 2017 through January 2018 and it's been awesome! Carly and the office staff have been the bomb and exceeded my expectations when i needed something. I definitely recommend this place to anyone! Dan Ball
Quiet, peaceful nice people. Super property manager. Good maintenance.well kept. Most have private outside entrance. Like living in a home. Would recommend
Have lived here for multiple years now and plan on continuing to live here, never have had any issues, very well maintained and nicely landscaped, all employees are nice to deal with, and have had friendly encounters with them. Quick response on service issues on the rare occasion when things have happened. Never had any issues with contract or misunderstandings. Overall I'm a very satisfied tenant and plan to continue my residence here.
These apartments are located in a great area with a ton of options of things to to do around, but also located back far enough to be on a quiet street. Great space for living on your own and have access right out your door to the pool area! Cats are allowed which is great and staff is always very helpful when needed! Definitely recommend if you're looking to live in the oakley/hyde park area.
Lived here for several years and the staff has been great! They always came and helped with anything I needed. Even helped me more a couch when I had no one that could help me. The neighborhood is very quiet and clean. Maintenance is usually very quick with the occasional couple day wait which they always apologized for. You know who is working here since they are very sociable and the tenants are very friendly. I will continue to live here till I have to move for work!
