The vibrant, diverse neighborhood of Corona is located in Queens. Its eastern border stretches along Flushing Meadows Corona Park, a vast greenspace that’s home to the Queens Zoo, the Queens Museum, and the New York Hall of Science as well as several playgrounds, a skate park, ball fields, and the Queens Botanical Garden. Corona’s southern border is the Long Island Expressway, making this neighborhood convenient for those who want to drive. For those who prefer mass transit, Corona offers several subway stations and numerous bus stops.
Corona has a fascinating history with many famous residents, including Dizzy Gillespie, Malcolm X, Louis Armstrong, and Ella Fitzgerald. It’s also the birthplace of Tiffany lamps – Louis Comfort Tiffany, the first designer at his family company, Tiffany & Co., developed his glassmaking technique here in the early 1890s. Corona was founded in 1854, when it was mostly farmland.

Property Ratings at LeFrak City
Roach infestation ! Roach infestation , building is full of big roaches and small ones
Lefrak is the worst possible apartment you can rent. The tenants are mostly there because they have nowhere else to go. Their Maintnance office is never open *during* business hours. They are unreachable by phone calls, and they take lunch break from 11AM-2 PM They also leave the premises before 4PM (the stated time). Their leasing office/management offices are also very non-accommodating. They will try to abuse your rights as tenants and bank on the fact that you’re not familiar with all the nitty gritty NYC laws to take away your rights from you. The management office lied, and in one case told us that lease resignation is at landlord’s discretion, where it’s the tenants right by law. The management also advised another tenant on evacuating, only to use that as a tool against him in a court case. That case fell through. When I was helping the other tenant in his case, their lawyer tried bullying us out of the case and subject us into paying thousands of dollars wrongfully charged. They are never responsive via email, they will respond weeks later after multiple reminders and follow up emails, *on time sensitive matters* They will never look out for the tenants, instead will use them only as source of unfair profiting. Because they are so large, you may not be able to watch out for yourself as much. Their apartments are infested with roaches, mice and water leaks are a constant affair. Their hallways are dark, smelly and full of disgusting stains The lobby is equally dirty and not well maintained It’s hard to get in to the apartment, even if you’re a tenant of many years if you forgot your key fob with you. They have no way to check your information and open the door for you. And NOISE is the worst, of the 6 years I lived there 3 of them was unbearable with Jackhammering and construction noise right on the building, you could not sleep with that noise, and no compensation was made for it, instead added charge was imposed to your rent for building reformation. If you haven’t experienced the worst of New York City, you definitely will with Lefrak City.
Ideally located close to mass transit and shopping malls. Not a totally negative review, except for dogs pooping and peeing and their owners/walkers not cleaning up after them. Especially in elevators. If you're transferring from one apartment or building to another do your own research more than 90 days about availability and procedures. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO. Your personal and financial information must be uploaded via PDF. Years of living in the complex, even with stellar on-time rent payments, do not translate into you being treated like a 'loyal customer'; you're just another candidate for residency with a hit or miss system for getting an apartment. Timing also plays a role. Again, KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!
The Bali building in my opinion is one of the best buildings in Lefrak City. Not only does it have a great maintenance team led by Superintendent Sandy and Neker, but the manager Jennifer is such a sweetheart as well as the RPA Angelica. Bali building is near all the amentias such as the park, library, and pool. The laundry room is always open so you can go in no matter what day or time which is convenient. There is always a guard patrolling which always makes me feel safe and secure. I just loving living here, moving to Bali was a great move on my end. Thank you again :)
Mes gusta por las seguridades que nos proporciona tanto a mí cómo mis familias y vecinos.
Staff is great, always courteous. Building is always clean including the elevators.
Definitely a family friendly place to live where I'm happy to be.
Friendly neighbors Friendly security Always so clean Thank you all so much for making me feel so comfortable
Old and outmoded fittings. Building infested with rats and cockroaches, no matter how well you try to keep your apartment. Dirty environment with dog poop scattered around the compound. Huge charges of water for new tenants, no matter how careful you are in using water judiciously. Water cut off and very often no hot water. Insect bites at the park. Poor heating systems in winter. Poor ventilation and poor cooling system in summer. No wonder a huge number of tenants are vacating their apartment daily. No wonder they a huge number of vacant apartments available at all times. I’m a current tenant and I’m not sure I’ll be able to stay up-to the end of my lease period. By Bobb.
The building is always quiet and clean. The superintendents are very accommodating and swift in their response time. Management always reached out to ensure my satisfaction. The room sizes are spacious and the nearby playground is great for families with smaller children. 24 hour security gives me the reassurance that we are safe and protected.
The list of issues with this place is endless. The doorman is just a face who does not keep people out have door to door solicitations regularly as well as adds being slipped under my door. And if enough wait infront of a door the doorman let's them all in. I have been here for 3 years and every year there has been more than 2 weeks of the hot water being off, this year it was for 3 months. The first floor apartments flood so if you're down there look forward to that. There is water leaking from the upstairs apartment that has been reported more than once and they're reply is that the upstairs neighbors don't respond. The maintenance people will do their best to get out of a job then report the ticket as complete. Building managers are constantly incompetent and regularly replaced. You can maintain a cardboard box in the rain better than these people can keep the building together
2 stars for location and spacious apartments. I have to use space heaters, cover my windows with plastic, pray that i have hot water to shower or wash dishes. Maintenance is stressful, i try to avoid calling them. Lots of mice so make sure all holes are filled before moving in. Roaches can get out of hand if you dont stay on top of routine extermination. You're not allowed to bring guests to the pool. Underground garage & apartments flooded destroying all the cars, Lefrak was NO help.
I have a parking garage that you enter with a sticker that opens and closes the garage door . My sticker stopped working and I was not able to enter or exit the garage !! & no one has gotten back to me in weeks!!!! & conveniently the leasing office and the management office is under construction at the same time so there is no one to talk to in person . & of course they do not answer phone calls. The system says they will call you back in the next business day and they do not ! They do not care about the tenants here !!! I’m paying for a garage I can’t even access!!
Infested with roaches and rats. It was an absolute nightmare even before storm Ida and now feels uninhabitable. The building has yet to clean the garage - it's full of dried sewage from the sewage backup. The lobby smells like a combination of mold, sewer, and a dead body (not sure what a dead body smells like but if I could guess it would smell horrid similar to the smell in the lobby). The smell seeps into our kitchen. Building management has been notified several times and their response is... not our problem or worse than that - no answer at all.
Overall it's a nice place to live. It's very quiet and the amenities are nice. The leasing office and management need to confer on what they tell new tenants. The leasing office promises things will be fixed/corrected but after you sign the lease management says no. This is very disingenuous.
Me gusta esta nueva residencia y me siento cómoda viviendo en este lugar .
So far, my experience in the United States of Lefrak City has been excellent. The apartment is spacious and was sparkling clean when we moved in. The super and maintenance staff were very helpful and our move-in went smoothly. The leasing and property management staff have been very helpful and I never run into any issues of my questions/concerns going unanswered. Im very happy with my residential experience here!
Lefrak is a great balance of cost and quality. They don't try to hide anything, come check it out and you'll see what you get. If you like what you see, you'll like living here.
Great location for shopping and transportation for getting to work.
Lefrak is very nice place to live in. I personally love this place and would recommend friends. Security is great and easy for commuting. I had a good experience in the past but was living with a friend. Now I rent my own apartment, the first experience is not good at all. But if improvement is made it could be better.
A very clean apartment located in a well maintained building. Friendly and professional staff members.
The rooms are spacious and thats great but its cold all the time and they dont do a good job in heating the building. The walls of the bathroom are peeling and management thought that was fine and the appliances are minimal.
Paris is quiet, people can be a bit to themselves guards can be more friendly and overall well I am happy where I'm at peace and love.
I was surprised at how convenient the commute is to live outside of Manhattan and get to pay Queens rent. Every place has its own issues, but LeFrak is a very good deal considering the price to quality. The community grounds are very well maintained.
So far, Paris has been a great building to live in. My fellow Neighbors and the staff are unbelievably kind and helpful. Also, the facility is always clean and inviting. I'm thrilled with my decision to move to Lefrak-Paris and hope to be here for many more years.
I love my new apartment at the Singapore. Everything is close by. Shopping, supermarkets, public transportation. It's a whole different place in the borough of Qeens.. Love it!!!
Yo por mi parte estoy tranquila .lo junio malo .es lo que comente arriba .grscias
Leaving here for few weeks has been peaceful and good
Its a nice place, secure, and super friendly neighbors. I love the attention of the staff and its totally a family home.
Its a great place.
I just move in but it feel so far so good, except the weird and bad smell in the hallway
It's one of a kind!
Charged me Mci fees in the middle of the lease. Rent increased made it not affordable. Management is horrible. Had to put plastic to the windows because the apt was freezing cold. You can hear the neighbors talking. Not the safest area. Anyone can enter the bldg without being buzzed in. parking fees are way to high.
Clean building
Very safe place to live and Friendly people
I have lived there for three years. When I leave I clean everything still they charge me 60% of my deposit. The charge me mci retro for until 2021 even while I’m not staying there. For paint charged me $700 which was normal wire and dent also charge me carbon monoxide which was never installed. Charge for door which never broken.
Kyoto is a beautiful place and have a nice location to live in.
I moved here and realized I have lived in this neighborhood for years and now that I live in the Lefrak City apts..I see that these Apartments are excellent to live in..My opinion: Great place to live!
Wellington is kids and adult friendly.
Is clean, quiet and organized !
The location and all amenities are good and beautiful
Add dog park
Good amenities. Nice apartments. Safe neighborhood.
Its well maintained and the people are pretty courteous and friendly
The apartment was given to me with dingy blinds, some of the wall in need of paint, an old dishwasher with dead roaches within the mechanism, and an ugly floor with holes throughout the edges of the floor which appeared to be a result of flooring that was removed.
It's a beautiful place to live and affordable and love the area
Lefrak is well managed and has a hard working Maintenance staff. The mail management is excellent.
Nice and convenient place to live in
