Legacy at Berkeley Place

Been here one month and EVERY day since I've been here, it's noise over my head. Can't sleep! I've reported 4 times. Sounds like they're coming through the roof. I'll NEVER recommend this place!! NEVER

Just moved in. We first moved into a apartment that reeked of cat pee. They then moved us to another unit. Dirty floors, blood on the toilets, dirt in the tub. The unit was dirty. They are way overpriced, and the apartments are okay.

Legacy is absolute TRASH! The residents are just as bad. People have no regard for your property and our vehicles have been hit 5 times in the year that we have lived here. Management says they are going to address this issue and work on trying to make things better and they haven’t done anything. They refuse to get cameras in their parking lots due to “resident privacy” but I bet if it was their cars getting damaged they would be quick to do so. They make sure to squeeze every last penny out of residents during their move out inspection if there is any damages done to their property but they don’t care about any damages done to our property while it’s sitting in their parking lots.

This apartment has actually won awards! It has a movie theater, pool, dog park, grill area, car center etc! There’s too many to name. I love living here. It is a safe environment for kids of every age and close to everything, even base. BAH also covers the rent. Moving here is very simple and it is a big military community

Legacy is a nice apartment complex,that being said it's way too expensive for the quality of apartment that you get. The location is nice and close to the city or the base. The staff is friendly and repair requests are attended to quickly. The apartments are starting to become outdated especially for how much you pay a month. If you're willing to spend this much month I would recommend looking into renting a full house or buying a house. Also the walls are super thin here. Good luck

Everything in unit was in great condition at move in. Leasing office is really helpful and friendly. Apartments are within walking distance of stores, restaurant and a bar. The only bad thing or issue I've experienced is toilet not flushing...they usually respond to those situations the next day and by that time toilet starts working again.However, they do try their best I believe.

The apartment complex is nice from the outside. The inside has nutural colors. The appliances could probably be updated. The grounds are well kept and clean. The staff are friendly. The best thing about the apartments is the location of them. They are close to the mall and many restaurants.

Great location if you want to be close to base and near all convenience stores. Great complex overall. Likes and suggestions: Well kept, safe, quiet, nice staff, and quick to respond to maintenance.

I love the Gym, it is fantastic! Also the pool is nice.

I lived on the third floor and worked nights, from 6pm to 7am, meaning I slept during the day. I accepted the fact that I would endure noises associated with the daytime as well as apartment style living. The people beneath me filed numerous noise complaints because I merely walked across the linoleum floor while wearing shoes. Although I was already a very quiet person, I tried initially to accommodate the other residents even while enduring their loud music and dog that would bark excessively all day long. Management came to me and said if I received another complaint I would be evicted. I told my side of the story and they didn't have much to say, so I wrote a letter explaining the situation and made them sign for receipt. After I spoke with the people living on the 2nd floor they mentioned they were moving out in 3 months, I was moving out in 4, yet they still tried to get me kicked out. I had to threaten legal intervention before management let me stay the final stint. Management has no experience in dealing with guest complaints or finding legitimate solutions to problems. Likes and suggestions: Safe, location was convenient, always had a place to park.

This is very nice and quiet neighborhood and we --me and my wife --enjoy living here. Likes and suggestions: Amenities particularly gym, lighting, being in walking distance to shopping centers, food and safety

Great place to live with nice community center and pool. We often hung out in the park area with friends. Likes and suggestions: It is close to everything but not off a busy road. The staff is awesome. They are friendly and responsive to your needs. The same can be said about the repairmen. I never waited more than 24 hrs for things to get fixed. The apartments are nice and well kept. We loved living here. We only moved to give our dog more space but they are very dog friendly too.

Our experience at Legacy was hit and miss. We would not have stayed in the apartment community, however, if we had continued to reside in Goldsboro. Despite the amenities available that were enjoyed during our stay, we had too many issues with the staff. By staff I do NOT mean the groundskeepers or maintenance supervisor, which were wonderful. The staff was continuously rude in nature over the two years in which we lived there, and were contemplated moving out early as to not have to deal with their accusatory behavior. We repeatedly got noise complaints despite at time not even being in the residence at the time of the complaint. Instead of being confronted directly we would come home to letters taped to our door that were accusatory in nature. Overall, it was one member of the staff that needed to work on customer-service, respect and general niceties that made our experience a sour one. The unites were also very overpriced for the quality of apartment. Likes and suggestions: The pool, 24 hour gym, maintenance services, and landscaping.

If I ever moved back to Goldsboro, I would definitely love to move back to Legacy at Berkeley Place!! Likes and suggestions: I loved living here...the management was great, the maintenance folks were terrific and my neighbors were quiet!!!

Decent apartments compared to the others in the area. Extremely overpriced when compared to any decent city in NC (IDENTICAL apt in Greensboro ~ $200 less) but I guess about on par in Goldsboro due to the Air Force base and lack of ok apartments. Maintenance is extremely quick to fix any issues and has always gotten it correct the first time. Most of the people around are very nice. Occasionally you get sketchy people in the community but I believe they are just visiting people living there. Likes and suggestions: Good location, quiet, clean, nice people living there.

Apartments look practically brand new when you move in. The entire facility is very nice. All employees including maintenance are extremely helpful and nice. Likes and suggestions: The gym, pool and volleyball area are great for meeting people or just hanging out and relaxing.

I loved living there and if I were to ever move back to North Carolina, I would move back to Legacy at Berkeley Place it was that amazing. Likes and suggestions: The staff was wonderful and was very kind when helping their resident and the grounds keepers even kept the grounds beautiful and the buildings amazing looking.
