The new management company is much more responsive when it comes to getting repairs done. As such, I must commend the maintenance team and the maintenance supervisor. The responsiveness mentioned above is being overshadowed by the rude office staff. They talk to people in a very disrespectful tone is is often times very wrong about the point that they are trying to make. When they realize they are wrong, they just dismiss the issue as if it never happened. The front office staff needs training in basic customer service.
I am overall happy but I wasn't too thrilled my toilet needed to be replaced the same day I moved in and that there is paint on my carpets. But all is getting fixed!

I'm very impressed with the new management here! The property manager and maintenance staff have been super responsive. I put a ticket in for my washer at 8pm on a Wednesday and it was fixed by 10am on Thursday!

WE really like the overall look of the place. Our dog Jake already enjoyed the dog park. So far communication and response from maintenanace has been very good too. Almost 5 stars.

Smell nice when I get in. Staff was friendly and helpful. We have nice pool and gyms, hopefully its secure place. The location is also very convenient.

The process was so smooth. Everybody had such great customer service and I am super happy so far with my apartment! The apartment is in such a great area and it is such a nice space !

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The move-in process was easy and smooth. The only issues we’ve had in the apartment is some cosmetic issues like paint peeling off surface incredibly easily.

We had a great experience with the repairing of the patio doors. The staff was super nice and was able to get the doors to close and will come back to get them to roll better. The resident home issues tracking system for it all is very helpful in making sure our issues get resolved.

The service is terrible. They came to take off the storage closet door after I complained 15 times about the mold, mildew and spiders inside and then they never came back to replace the door. Under the carpet in one of my bedrooms is a giant ant trail and there is a whole in the corner where the 2 walls meet. The cabinets are poorly placed and the bathroom and bedroom doors keep coming off the hinges. It’s a terrible place to stay. The laundry rooms flood and half of the exercise equipment is broken. There are wasp nest hanging above my front door and no one in the office seems to care. It took them 6 months to get trash cans for tenants for the “valet trash “ that we’re all paying for only for the company not to even come out and pick up the trash.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest quality standards for our customers but we didn't measure up. We appreciate your feedback and support but we do have to follow the policies and procedures listed in your lease agreement. Towing is enforced to help allow parking for all our valued residents as well as maintain our community. The fee for towing is unfortunately set by law and the towing company is the one that charges that based on towing enforcement laws. If you have any further questions regarding the policies and procedures we would be happy to speak to you in person.
As a new tenant at LYV Six Forks Apartments, my experience has been positive. The leasing process was smooth, and the staff was welcoming and helpful. My unit was clean upon move-in. The community is quiet, and the location is convenient for shopping and dining.

No one answered the phone when you call the office, also work orders never get complete. Also your charged for trash ballet and it never gets picked up and you can not opt out of it, rent is too high for the amount of space in the apartments they are not luxury the are old and outdated

Legacy of Six forks is a great to live. It's pretty peaceful, clean and management is always helpful. I had an issue with my heat and management handled it right away.

In the building where I live lately there are very scandalous neighbors, with loud music and with natural gas grills on the balconies that scares me a lot.

Nice neighborhood, very calm and always up to date. I will say that I’m not too happy with the service. Maintenance doesn’t always show up when I put in a request. The office doesn’t answer phone calls, not sure why.

It’s ok living here. No troubles with anyone or anything, neighbors are nice, and management is helpful. Apartments could’ve been better quality as there are a few issues.

It’s my first full year into the complex. Definitely hasn’t been the best from prior management & current events. Hopefully this year is a turn around for me & all residents. Definitely updates needed to the apartments. I do agree with it being a quiet neighborhood with no major issues though.

Well...Since I have been here things have been not so good when it comes to maintenance requests. I still yet have had my bedroom ceiling repaired which i have requested since i moved in as of April 2024. I have requested this numerous of times and no repairs have been done. I have requested for my water temperature to be checked for hot water and no repair has been done. Maintenance request should be taken care of immediately. They just opened the gym and laundromat facilities after 8 months. When i signed my lease i signed it to have access to all amenities.

Good pricing, Bad maintenance and gym ownership needs to have better laundromat maintenance as well as the gym. The washing machines break down way too often.

It took me a while to move into a different apartment after a water damage I’ve been living in this resident for the past 7 1/2 years and I’m devastated like that before it’s a beautiful place to leave. I’ve never seen surrounding of the building so dirty dirty all the trash from the trees are coming into your popping by walking in there, but I’ll keep it to myself.

The neighborhood is decent but the inside apartments needs some improvement. Need to fix the ceilings because they have water damage. My ceilings have brown spots and some parts are leaking and peeling.

My experience living here has been horrible. Property Managers have not been helpful or eager to resolve tenant issues, inexperienced maintenance guys, repairs not completed and properly fixed in a timely manner. If you would like to discuss this matter, please contact me.

The apartment and community is nice but maintenance is slow and unreliable. We have had a few problems that they said would come and fix but they forget and we have to make new requests or talk to management about to make headway.

I like it here because the neighborhood is very quiet. I have been living here for a few years and I can't complain about the service and I recommend Legacy apartments to all my friends.

I've been here for 2 months. I started the process in July, and I kept getting told that the apartment they were going to put me in wasn't ready. They wrote up a lease and everything, I paid the money to get into that particular apartment, and found out (only because I had to keep calling) that they had to change and put me in another one. It was fine, except I asked for a first floor and they put me on the 2nd floor. I was very clear that I needed/wanted a first floor. I didn't find out it was a second floor until they sent me the lease over. I needed this apartment because I was already working for my job and still living in VA due to their delays. I ended up losing that job because the week my apartment was "ready," I was told about the new one. Upon moving in, I am not sure what they had to get "ready" because if any of the apartments they put you in look how mine did and smelled like mine did when I moved in, what exactly could have taken so long to get it move-in ready? There's overspray over the windows, the flooring has paint all over it, the door frames are chewed up and scratched, and they just painted over them. There are bubbles in the paint in my bathroom that have started to peel. The back door frame looks like it was kicked in, allowing bugs to come in. The kitchen drawers are horrible. They don't open properly, and the bar is leaning so badly. The doors are super hard to lock as well. My dishwasher hasn't worked since living here. Maintenance has come out 5 times now to "resolve" the issue. It still doesn't work. And now we can talk about the roaches, which are my BIGGEST issue. I have never, and I mean never, dealt with pests like this. I have said something since August and was told that I pay for pest control, so where is this control? I have pictures and videos of them under my fridge, under the stove, huge ones coming in from outside, crawling on our ceiling... This is crazy!!! I go into the office and my name is put down on a list with numerous others requesting inside pest spraying and I have yet to be contacted about this. And no one returns calls to speak to you, and good luck trying to get someone to answer the phone. I am so upset because I moved from VA here for work, and I am so unhappy with my living situation and the lack of support from the office. And open the gym!!!! 1

Would recommend checking other apartment options first, upon arrival my apartment needed a deep cleaning as it was dirty, the sliding windows and doors constantly come off track, the front door lock barely seems to actually lock the door, and the way they did the framing I’ll regularly scuff/cut my finger on the door frame if I try to casually open the door without being mindful, countertops scuffed & bubbling up in bathroom and kitchen, the kitchen cabinet liner is coming off several of the cabinets, missing individual blinds on the sliding doors, uneven floors and junk left in the unit from. The gym and dog wash have been closed and “under repair” since before I got here but I’ve never seen any work being done and there’s no update on when they will be done The employees seem nice!

My lease is coming to an end soon and I figured I would warn any other potential tenant before moving here. It's hot and both pools are closed. The gym is also closed. The pool opened last year just to close a few weeks later. It's always something with it so if you think this is just a one time thing it's not. So if you have kids or you love to sunbathe, cool off, etc. Don't move here. Ever since the new management took over as stated by someone else the property has went down hill.

Once RPM living took over it was game over. When the apartments were under Hawthorne at Six Forks it was wonderful and the staff were competent and handled any problem that popped up without any issues. Now under RPM living, the complex has went down hill terribly. The grass has not been cut in weeks and word around the complex they (allegedly) didn't pay the Landscapers so they quit as they should've. The gym has been closed for almost a month now. I have also witnessed drugs being dealt in my building. I've had neighbors move in and move out within 2-3 months afterwards. It's clear the only thing they care about it is renting out apartments and that's it. If you're going to pay high rent, atleast get your money worth and rent from somewhere else at the same value or a bit cheaper. It's not worth moving here as long as RPM living is managing it. The staff are rude and don't know what they're doing. I urge everyone to get educated on your rights as a tenant and keep copies of your lease.

this is the worst apartment I have ever had the staff is rude that's if you can even get someone to answer the phone the "property manager" is non existent you can never get the time of day unless it's about money my AC has been out going on 3 months with temperatures in the high 90s I have been getting nothing but the run around no straight or direct answer.. everything is falling apart In this very cheap put together apartments don't let the renovations being done on the outside fool you.. I have had leaky pipes and a very bad bug problem I have not seen pest control on this property since I moved here almost 3 years ago they do not care about you at all!! also your car will get broken into mine has several times
So much, I don’t know where to begin, to sum it all up, just don’t, this is a terrible place to live, and for what they are asking for, definitely not worth it, you can’t even enjoy the pool during the summer, it’s never open, they have rats and roaches, they never fix anything, but will tell you that the work is done, well, cameras don’t lie. I wish on everything that I would have went another route, but I’m stuck, for now, I saw the red flags in the beginning, and didn’t listen, RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK. Stay blessed
