I’ve been a resident at Legacy Encore since February 2023, and my experience has become increasingly frustrating and unsustainable. The fire alarm system goes off at random times with alarming frequency, disrupting my work and creating serious safety concerns. This has been an ongoing issue for over a year, yet it seems no permanent solution has been found. As a result, many residents seem to have become desensitized to the alarms, which is extremely concerning in the event of a real emergency. On top of that, the Wi-Fi has been unreliable, with frequent outages lasting hours at a time over the past several months. This has made working from home nearly impossible. Despite these ongoing disruptions, there has been no reimbursement, and management is reportedly still negotiating with Spectrum for compensation that seems unlikely to materialize. I understand that the on-site management team is doing what they can, but it’s clear they’re constrained by decisions from higher-ups. Whether the delays in addressing these issues are due to budget cuts or other priorities, it’s unacceptable that residents are left to deal with the consequences. The situation has become increasingly untenable, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to others.

I really have to say living at Legacy is really not so bad as all of these reviews seem. I have lived here for over a year now and have seen the ebbs and flow of this place. I have seen management change as well as new staff come up. Yes, we are having internet issues and the fire alarms are going off but management has been sending us constant communication keeping us up to date on getting it fixed. They have the vendors here right away and are working towards a resolution. The office staff is seriously great. They have such a nice team who truly cares to say hi and see how you're doing when you stop by for coffee in the office. I will say, make sure you take a grain of salt when reading these 1 star reviews. There is a facebook group when unhappy residents ban together and make fake accounts and/or repetitvely give nasty reviews to bring the scores down. I have personally seen some residents come down and YELL at staff like a child having a tantrum and their responses have always been civilized and professional. Of course there is room to grow at Legacy. I think the staff like Sammi, Colby and Leanne are doing the best they can. I would recommend living here and I think overall, you will be happy and feel you made a great choice. They host events 2-3x a month and I've met really cool people who live here. I moved in here in February of 2024. It’s now July, and the internet has gone out 12 times (counted). They have a contract with spectrum here, and have built in routers in every unit, which at first I was excited about. However, their internet goes out on almost a weekly basis now. If you work from home, or are enrolled in school, or require an internet connection for anything important at all, I’d recommend you look literally anywhere else. I’ve lived in 3rd world countries with better connection (not an exaggeration, I lived in Brazil before). I’ve also gotten stuck in the elevator for an hour, and emailed the leasing office about it. Crickets… they didn’t even bother shutting the elevator off to try and diagnose the issue. Edit: So I come home today with an urgent school task that I need to complete before 4pm today. I get home and AGAIN, the internet is down. I wrote this review a week ago, and like clockwork, the internet goes down again. Like I said… WEEKLY basis. When the internet is down here, it’s not for a few minutes or a few hours. No… it’s down ALL DAY, sometimes multiple consecutive days. At this point I’m considering getting starlink for my apartment. Also, the fire alarm goes off here at least once a week as well. It’s VERY VERY loud, definitely the loudest alarm I’ve ever heard. It’s Sunday tonight, and I have work early in the morning, and the alarm has been BLARING for the past 4 hours. You heard me correctly, 4 hours. Thats not an exaggeration.. that’s an exact amount of time. This place is a Nightmare.

Been here 2 years now, internet is ALWAYS out, and since move in has been an issue. Fire alarms are CONSTANTLY going off. At least 2-3 times a month. Constant parking garage car break ins, hallways are nasty and have been cleaned maybe once, office staff is less than helpful and extremely rude. Construction has taken over the area. Look elsewhere if you’re trying to live Downtown

I have been here for two years and I love this place. The staff is great, maintenance gets done really fast, and I love monthly events. I think it is a great place to live at. I would continue living here if I wasn't moving to a different state. I just would rent top floor because of stomping from upstairs neighbor.

Don’t waste your money Legacy Encore, you pay for a “luxury apartment” but the hallways smell like trash, the WiFi goes in and out with no account credit, the staff gaslights you when you bring up a concern, and they spend our money on things and events that don’t benefit the residents.

I love living at Legacy Encore - The office made me feel right at home from the moment I started my tour. They’re always so friendly and accommodating to any of my requests. In addition, the property is well kept and the amenities are inviting! I love sitting at the pool and soaking up the sun on my weekends.

Amenities & location is top notch. However there are times i’m afraid for my guests safety as in our 2nd day after moving in, my sister in law experienced a car break in & lost some important documents.

Legacy Encore is in an amazing location, and for the price of living i’d say it’s a steal. But to be expected there are some cons. parking can be inconvenient when more than half of the spots in the garage is reserved. When moving in management finally processes all my paper work a day before my RESCHEDULED move in date. (they had me originally moving in on a holiday that the office would be closed on) But when coming in to the time slot listed in the email i was told that a temp was going to help me because every other worker was out. it was a stressful few days of moving in.

Staff is extremely kind and helpful. Every-time I’ve had an issue it was dealt with. Personally I feel safe in the apartment especially with the added locks to outdoor entrances. I also appreciate the quiet hours they are at perfect times for those that aren’t light night people and have work in the morning

This is the worst rental I’ve ever had!! Would NOT recommend. Current manager doesn’t care about my complaints and has largely ignored them. Parking stinks - half of them are “reserved” that you have to pay 75$/month for. The other half are on steep incline that can mess up the alignment in your car. Bugs everywhere!!! Ants, large cockroaches, flying insects!! Daily heavy marijuana smells. The whole place including your unit run on a phone based app - so if you forget your phone your locked out. The area is sketchy!! Homeless people camp out by the garage. Really disgusting place with awful management.

I lived here for 2 weeks and my 1st floor unit was broken into. Since them, the staff has been horrendous, we have no safety measures in place (exterior doors dont lock, no security etc). It is incredibly unsafe and the staff sucks. So many hidden fees too

In the 8 months I’ve lived here, I’ve noticed a large increase in crime. Repeatedly I’ve seen homeless individuals sleeping on the 1st floor patios, rummaging through the recycling bins, and stealing from the clothing donation bin in the garage. Towards the beginning of my lease, at least 2 apartments were broken into. Recently we’ve had MULTIPLE cars with windows smashed and broken into. Many neighbors are scared to go outside to walk their dogs because they’ve been approached and/or cornered by people asking for money, flashing knives at them, etc. Most importantly, the Latch lock system used throughout the building is frequently broken - specifically on the doors leading in and out of the garage. It feels as though it is a free for all for anyone to enter as they please. After lots of complaints, management will be creating a second corridor coming in from the garage with another Latch lock to provide an extra layer of security. I may improve my rating after this construction is done if it works as planned. My apartment is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The closet space and size of my bathroom are unmatched. I haven’t had many issues in my apartment, but when I have, maintenance has been very helpful and quick to resolve my issues. The leasing staff are friendly and tend to be helpful as well. The amenities are great and well maintained with the exception of the dog park. Unfortunately, many residents choose to “walk” their dog in the dog park instead of outside because they feel unsafe, so the turf is filthy and many residents don’t pick up after their dogs. This would be a great place to live if it was in a different location. If management chooses to listen to residents’ request for a nightly courtesy officer, I would consider renewing my lease, but otherwise, I can’t with good conscience recommend this complex.
