Property Ratings at Legacy on Elm
I’ve lived here off and on since 2018. In these last few months after having to fight with previous office staff, regional, and getting the city involved, things have been so much better with new staff, management and maintenance. This is the first time since living here where I don’t have to wait 1-3 months to get maintenance requests completed. Even calling the office is not like before where they were screening people’s calls. Office staff are so polite and easy to work with. And that’s all I really care about. If we the resident s are paying our rent, we should be treated like human beings. I hope things continue to go up from here.
I currently live here. And these apartments are the pits. Management has changed 3times and the office staff is horrible and rude. Make you feel like you bothering them but if things were right to begin with. Our rent has gone up so much. That part’s understandable but what’s not is watching people move in and get brand new appliances, cabinets, ceilings and more and pay the same price as you. You can never get anything fixed. It takes months to get repairs. Mold and mildew is horrible. Neighbors loud noises at all hours of the night. It’s just so….horrible. But at least I have a roof over my head.
i currently stay at legacy on elm and have mold & mildew growing all over my apartment. i put in a maintenance request in on sept 1 & nothing had been done
I applied over a month ago and didn’t hear back until 3 weeks later I was approved and told them I had to move in August. The staff was rude always said we will tell you your move in date and we are almost in August and still never called me back or got back to me.I’m glad I’m moving elsewhere.Waisted my time and money.
Good location to highway, restaurants and stores. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. This may not be the best area of GBoro, but the apartments are freshly painted, new carpets installed and the maintenance team has always tried their best to fix any issues I had in the 2 years I had been here. I lived 3rd floor & 1st floor (downsized from 2 to 1 bed) and I enjoyed the top floor for noise control and the bottom for ease of access. I think you would like it here as well.
Poor communication, false information and false time-frames and or deadlines. They will be fast to take your money with no professional communication as to what is going on during the Leasing process, I was told that there was no wait 9n the unit that I was interested in and that the renovations would be complete by the end of the month, it has now been a month and still no word when we can move in!
Yes they will answer the phone . They will also tell you a lie just to get you off the off the phone. Management is not on there game does not reach out you have to call and stay on top of them and always request a Manager they are not communicating amongst one another . You give one person some info and then have to call bk up and give the same information to someone else. Horrible service makes you not even wanna do this process anymore
This apartment is filled with issues. They have horrible management. They do not fix things immediately or they wait to fix it after you move out.There’s a roach problem and a flea problem. They have issues with car parts being stolen and they are aware it’s happening since it happened to them. Their windows at the bedroom does not lock so someone can slide their hand across to open. There’s constant gunshots and police at the apartment complex. The apartment they give is unclean and is apparent that they do not inspect the apartment. Do not live here
I’ve lived here for about 8 months and my apartment had problems like broken ceiling fans, etc. but maintenance never came to fix anything. I called at least once every month and I have yet to see any maintenance person. The property manager is also rude and lies but the other people in the office are friendly. I’d say if you can fix things yourself or know a maintenance person then move here, but if not you’ll have to suffer. The apartments are cheap and spacious though that’s the only reason they get any stars from me.
This place is horrible just doing research I can see why the keep changing their names because of multiple negative reviews. My mother in law resides here and this place is terrifying people selling drugs and gambling right outside the complexes. The steeet lights working the complex are not bright enough. Anything can happen. Not to mention she experienced a water leak coming from the upstairs neighbor and nothing was done about it besides them trying it with fans which increased her electric bill. This place doesn’t include anything which is kind of ridiculous considering the rental rate and the type of neighborhood it’s in ! Will be reaching out to the corporation that owns this property because I do not feel safe with my mom living here !
This place a rip off. They never fix anything over charge you for living. I have tried to talk to the lady and she has a nasty attitude the place dirty they have bed bugs. Their maintenance guys go into your home while you not there to see what you have. Rent past due is the 5th but you will have court order papers on you by the 10th. The do not have most of the stuff they say. The pool does not get clean properly. I'm just here to help anyone who looking into moving I do not recommend this place to anyone.
The ELECTRICITY Bill is RIDICULOUS, THEY DON'T FIX NOTHING, THERE IS A LOT OF MOLD, THE WATERBUGS ARE OUTRAGEOUS TGEU GREET YOU AT THE STEPS, CARPETS ARE NOT PROPERLY CLEANED OR REMOVED FOR THE NEXT TENANT, IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MONEY, THIS PLACE AND MANAGEMENT ARE STRAIGHT UP SLUM LORDS IT SHOULD BE CONDEMNED AND REBUILT. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! IT'S A ??????????
The dishwasher and disposal always stop working. They don't come with washers and dryers like it says. The dog park is filthy. The crime is high around here. It's infested with bugs(roaches) in every building. The a/c doesn't work. The rent is always being raised. It's just not a good place to live. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Terrible place to live. Will be moving as soon as the lease is up
This place is filthy! All of the buildings are infested with roaches and ants! They never fix anything. We've been living here fore two years and they haven't fixed the patio door that's been broken since we moved in. Weve had doors literally fall off the henges tht we've been complaining about since October of 2016, it is now may of 2017. The maintenance people are great but the managers won't let them fix anything unless they call it in. I spoke one of the maintenance men and he even told me they don't fix things on purpose! They never have the pool opened on time, they always yank the rent up and the air and heat never work. DO NOT MOVE HERE! It is a waste of money and the management is absolutely terrible. They have attitudes when you try and talk to them and they do not care about anyone in the community. The pizza man doesn't even deliver here anymore because they have been robbed three times ! I had a neighbor that got rob her first night living here. DO NOT MOVE TO LEGACY ON ELM aka arbor crest
Drug activity is seen all over the property. They say there is a policeman on the property but you NEVER see him. The people who work in the office are rude, lie, and, in short, just do not do their jobs. They do not fix things that are wrong in the apartments and get mad at you if you complain. The electric bills are ridiculous and will cost you anything that you might save in rent by moving there. There is trash all over the property, and bugs everywhere - lizards, ants, and roaches.
The women who work in the office will make mistakes when applying your payments. They will say you did not pay, did not pay on time, etc. They will, in turn, charge you fees and tell lies on you. They are very unprofessional to say the least. The apartments have pest problems (roaches everywhere!)plumbing problems, and the heating/air units are so old that your electric bill will be astronomical. They had a drug dealer in my building who got his apartment searched, and to see young guys smoking pot in on the stairways is a regular occurrance. If you call the office for maintenace, they pretend they did not get the message. They do not fix things that are wrong in the apartment and have to come back over and over because they are too cheap to fix it the right way the first time. Do yourself a favor & keep looking.
The complex is Veteran friendly. However that is correct only for the New side the older side is much older and vey cdefective I have lived here for 3.5 years and have paid over $10,000.00 for utilities. management will not help me figure out why
