Property Ratings at LEGACY PARK
Would have to say this is an amazing place to live hands down! They are also putting down hard wood floors in all the bottom floor apartments and they look amazing. The new management team is very nice and effectively communicates well which I appreciate. The maintenance men are also very friendly. I truly enjoy my neighbors and when I lost my cat everyone was willing to help me look for him. If you are looking for a safe, well managed and great looking apartments then you have found the right place.
For the past 5 years, myself, husband and son resided here at Legacy park. We just moved out 6 months ago. I purposely waited until we received our final statement along with giving myself time to cool down in order to give a fair review. Starting off was great. The office staff was great, friendly but the maintenance was not the best. Very flirtatious and unprofessional. In five years, we only had about 4 issues in our apartment. 1. The toilet in the apartment above us leaked into out master tub and the ceiling would grow mold. They came and kilzed it a couple times. 2. The coat closet flooded from the furnace and caused mold and ruined my coats. 3. The dryer we had initially was partly rusted on the top and that only increase because there isn't good ventilation which caused mold to grow consistently in out laundry area. And I KID YOU NOT , it took them over a year to replace our dryer. We had to constantly clean out the mold ourselves because they would drag their feet so much. We had this issue from the time we moved in until the time we moved out. 4. The cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom were cute but not durable. They broke easily and it took OVER 2 years for them to finally replace the ones that they glued back together only for them to not match the rest of the drawers and I get charged with a staining fee upon move out. I called to speak with Ada quite a few times and she never took the time to call me back. We were overcharged completely upon move out as were a few others I knew personally that lives here as well. I'm not saying I dont recommend this as a place of residence but I am saying beware of what you may run into. We paid our rent on time every month and I feel like they could have done more on their end to help satisfy their residents.
24-72 hours is the standard for being accepted or denied. 168 hours is negligence. Zero line of communication until we were forced to look elsewhere over a week later. Six days after we applied we had had enough and called to check the status of our applications. We were told we would be called back by the end of the day- that was a lie. The first call we ever got from anyone at Legacy Park Apartments was from our leasing agent and was to explain they were intending to keep our $490.00 because we "backed out." Now we have been forced to take them to court to get our money back. Abysmal business.
Let me first start off by giving the positives: Layout The price general fit with our budget Now the negative: My wife and I moved into Legacy Park in Brownsburg as our first apartment together... I won't name names or put anyone on blast for it. Around the end of Ocotber we had a group of younger adults move in below us. We would occasionally hear their music but it wasn't anything we were losing our minds over. Shortly after they moved in we began to get a strong smell not only in our second bathroom but eventually both bathrooms, our living room and both bedrooms. It was weed. It was pretty easy to tell. At first we assumed a skunk was coming up to the apartment and spraying. After the third or fourth day in a row we realized the likelihood was pretty low for that to happen. This started in November and has carried onto to now (February). Now, you could probably assume the negative is just something like these neighbors? You would be wrong. The negative in this case is the apartment management. A warning to potential residents. The management has a specific clause in their lease that doesn't require them to actually help you. This played out as we began a phone battle with the office in which I request that something be done because the smell itself was poising not only a health risk to me, my wife, and our two dogs but also the kids and other young families in the building. I got the run around. I got promised calls back. I got promised answers but the apartment did everything in their power (including screening my calls... I called three times in a day from one phone, switched phones and got someone to pick up right away) What I hope you take away from this is that Legacy Park can be a great place for you to live and start your family. It can be. As long as you don't have a single thing you feel you need to rely on the office to do for you. Otherwise you will be forced to breathe in weed aroma because "a resident shouldn't hold the right to assume the owner will fix their issues." We are actively looking for a new place to live and I encourage everyone before they move in to not only understand that if you have a legit issue the management will not only refuse to help you but clearly side with someone that is violating their lease.
Our apartment is spacious and beautiful. The location is perfect. Bret in the office is very helpful and professional.. The only negative is that we live on the bottom floor and my neighbors above we are quite loud. The workout facilities are mediocre .
