Property Ratings at Legacy
If the staff doesn’t like any issues you arise, they just try to kick you out of the office. They hire subpar contracting teams so when they do painting work, they don’t use proper ventilation in your apartments will reek for multiple days when they are repainting houses around. The quote” contractors that this apartment hires leaves trash all over the patios and drinks while they work not to mention the countless times they try to come into your house for ““ emergencies apparently there is 9 to 15 emergencies a year for them to shut water off with less than 24 hour notice avoid these apartments if possible. The only thing thing about that that is great. Is the location if you enjoy golf If it wasn’t for that, I probably wouldn’t even even live here

The roaches are rampant on this property. It is almost out of your hands! even empty properties have cockroaches scurrying about. The Pictures you see of this property online are accurate only if you consider that they were taken 20+ years ago or were heavily retouched.

There are a ton of great reasons to call Legacy Apartments in Plano home, but I will list the best of the best. All the staff in the leasing office and the maintenance team go above and beyond to show care and concern for the tenants. During that bad winter ice storm and power outages, they worked day and night to keep us and our homes safe. The community of made up of really great neighbors, and the property is always well kept, maintained, and very quite and peaceful. Also, these apartments are nestled in a very beautiful neighborhood of homes, and the location is perfect for getting anywhere you need to go. Right up the road is everything you could need such as Kroger, Walmart, gas stations, shopping, movies, and not far from major roadways. I have been a tenant here for well over ten years, and still continue Loving the Legacy Life!
This place is older but very well managed. Been here a year now! no complaints. The office staff always is very professional! Thomas with the maintenance department always gets the work done! Go check them out! Perfect Location and very reasonable pricing for the West Plano area.
When we first moved it it was great. The office staff was wonderful, they were friendly and very helpful. We lived there for three years and the last year we were there a new management took over and it all went down hill from there. We approached the office several times about several issues just around our area and they were never addressed (children playing in the laundry area (slamming doors and climbing through the window), throwing big rocks around the grounds, loud music at all times of night (so bad we had to call police), I had also contacted the office because I had noticed a HUGE increase in the water bill (which is allocated), after first I was told that they didn't know why it was such a huge difference than I was told that it was because the city had increased their rates. I called the city of Plano there was no increase in their rates. I called back and spoke with the office and was told again that they did know why it was increased, when I asked it to be looked into they never returned the phone call. It was close to us finishing our lease and we moved and I failed to follow up. I understand that it is an older property, however for what increase the rates to the dwellings they are not kept up environmental wise. The doors and windows do not have good insulation, there is no lighting or ceiling fan in the living room, so the temp is never regulated. I know some of these things seem really petty, however when you speak with the office staff multiple times and nothing is changed about things that could change, that is why a gave a low review.
The community is quiet and safe. My son loved playing outside with other kids. The apartments are old. I had so many maintenance issues I got sick of calling them to tell them. I think they cut alot of corners when it comes to maintenance. I feel in the parking lot because when it rains or sprinklers come on mud runs from the courtyard to the parking lot. I had mice and rat droppings on my balcony and I was on the second floor. Look close at everything before you move in. Look at the light fixture outside the door. Look in between the stove and the cannot to see if the cleaned properly after the last remnant. Check the ceiling for water damage. I lived in unit 606. I had water damage. Darlene did waive a few things for me but I never heard the word I'm sorry. I never felt any empathy from anyone until i mentioned the lack of empathy. Jamal and Cladio the maintenance man were the first to say I'm sorry. This was after being their for about 9 months. I dont hop from apartment to apartment but I had to move from here. The first day I moved in I killed ten silver fish in the bathroom. I asked the to spray before I moved in. As soon as they sprayed silver fish went away. I lost money in washer machine when my washer broke they didn't offer to refund it. It's the little things that go a long way. The missed the mark once I moved in. Lauren was nice when I was looking and waiting to get approved. Still something is missing. They never did anything special for the tenants. Nothing foe the kids. Then emailing me that I can pick up discounted pizza a few blocks away is not a tenant appreciation. The pool was closed a lot.
I also do not write reviews but I believe when it comes to a place live, opnionions matter. It starts with the apartment itself, decent on the inside however the pricing is ridiculous. Second, I had two floods in my apartment in only a 6 month time frame. In which they only handled it by maintence trumping into my apartment (an hour later after I called) and replaced only a corner of the carpet. My apartment smelt like mold for multiple months. Third, management is TERRIBLE. Give you attitudes when asking simple questions I've never had such terrible experience with management as I've had with them. I would not recommend anyone living there. I finally got out of my lease and will never go back.
It's not a great place they don't work with you they raised the rent to keep up with other properties but they don't have the amenities to match other properties
Thin WALLS, no privacy between apartments. A lot of pet poo..Bldg shakes like quake
Hi, I normally do not write reviews or read reviews on apartments, because I like to form my own opinion on an apartment complex and management company. You only hear the negative things and never anything good. So, I’ll give you my experience on this property. I have been living in apartments for the better part of 6 years and Legacy Apartments in Plano has some REALLY bad qualities/services/features. For starters, the property is old. It was built in 1986 and the management company/companies have done very little to update anything. The A/C units on the outside of the buildings are the original units install 26 years ago. Living in Texas is difficult with the heat we have, so needing a good, working A/C unit is important, as anyone would agree. Everyone except the management. My particular unit broken down 6 times during the summer and ran 24/7 and couldn’t keep up with the heat outside. Needless to say my energy bills were outrageous for the square footage I had. Twice my unit broke down “after hours” and I called the “emergency maintenance line” . It took 2 hours to get a call back and another 2 hours for the guy, who doesn’t speak English to show up. Both of these instances he attempted to say, in broken English, that he can’t fix it and all I get until tomorrow is the blower. I fought with him to get his boss on the phone to come help to fix it, and he said he can’t do that. I complained to management both times of these occurrences and the best I got was “thanks for telling me, I will address it”. No compensation, no apology, nothing. My neighbor’s unit below me would flood the closet anytime it rained, and again no compensation for them. Also, I had to call 911 on my neighbors twice. So, there’s some GHETTO people here too. So, to sum up… Old property, terrible customer service, and LOTS of maintenance issues. DO NOT spend your money at this place. Thanks and Good luck finding a good home!
