Property Ratings at Legends at Oak Grove
Long story short it took about a month for us to get our carpet replaced for an issue they were aware of because a their previous team member lived in the unit prior to me moving in... Flash forward to about the third staff change in the office … I go in to discuss I would not be renewing and the steps I needed to take to avoid charges at move out. Actually, I went in to discuss my concerns about three times with the current Assistant because I had a weary feeling about what the process would look like based on my move in experience. My main concern were the walls in my apartment because I have a 1 year old who frequently uses the walls as her support. Even up until the weekend of my move out I still was trying to take care of the issue on all occasions we’re advised not to worry about it, just for the staff to charge me $450 for a full paint. I wouldn’t won’t my worst enemy to live in these apartments. The customer service is the poorest , from beginning to end. Furthermore I requested to speak with a regional and the Assistant told me her could resend pictures and at this time will not return my calls or reply to my email.
Everything is broken security gate, dog park, kids play area ect...didnt change our air filter for over a year and caused unit to freeze as well as get our family sick. Management staff are unappreciative of their Tennant's and there is dog poop everywhere!!!
We are new residents to Legends, but have been very impressed with the new property manager (new since the end of July). She is a hard worker and is trying to get things taken care of around the property to make it better for all residents. We are happy to be living here.
Imagine having mold growing on planted pots, behind pictures , in toilet bowls , all over the windows… having a mold test done and having 3 types of high level molds showing on results! Then having them refuse to let you break your lease and having to pay them 2700$ this place SUCKS!!! stay away
I would give it 0 stars if I could. Worst place to live in Knoxville! Expect to overpay. They will never calculate your bill correctly. They will over charge you & raise your rent every chance they get. Management is horrible & new manager is always worse than the last. They messed up my Conservice bill by $4,000 & now refuse to fix it or answer my emails. The parent company refuses to do anything either. Save yourself the hassle & find a better place to rent.
Geographic location....5 stars for the area. Gate did not work for months at a time. Can be echoed for the paper-thin walls and issues with visitor parking issues, trash fees that would be expected with larger metropolitan costs. Very glad my tenure there was short-lived, would NOT recommend this property to those looking!
This is the best apartment complex I've lived in. Residents here are from all age groups and family sizes and dynamics. The dog park is private, clean, and just right. An open field near by is also available for lots of sniffing and hiking around. There is a great play ground and an outstanding salt water pool with gas grills and a fire place. The gym is also spacious with the right equipment for non gym rats. Large dogs are welcomed here and the community of dog owners is vast. The area is made for dog owners but cats are also welcomed as a few cats here and there are also walked on leashes. Pet waste supplies and cans are spread about the complex and so are out door charcoal grills and tables. Garages are available too, and the car wash and detail area also has a dog bath tub which is great to cool off your pup or for the dreaded bath. The managing staff is very kind and professional. It is a no-nonsense location which is great because the residents take pride in where they live. The maintenance crew is hard at work beautifying the grounds and carrying for the needs of residents in a timely manner. My AC went out in June on a Friday night and they responded quickly with temporary units until they could replace the entire unit on Monday. I couldn't be happier in any other complex in town. I plan to stay here until I relocate to Phoenix next year. I have a great view from my patio of the sunset and although near the old east town mall, it is a quiet area.
I am a current resident I am using a pseudonym to avoid backlash from management. There is much to say I will only add highlights below 1. Maintenance fails to fix issues in timely manner 2. The grounds are horribly up-kept, large areas where grass is missing 3 ants everywhere, we pay for pest control but I've never see anyone and I have been working from home since March 4. Billing errors on your bill constantly 5. Staff does not wear masks in the office or when visiting apartments 6. Rude staff members 7. Major noise issues, the walls are not even paper thin you can hear when your neighbors are going to the bathroom #gross 8. Neighbors don't clean up after their dogs. 9. Cars are broken into constantly. 10. Parking is an absolute nightmare 11. Staff turnover is extremely high The positive reviews were probably ones created when they gave contests and gave prizes for reviews. Nothing like bribes to boost your review score. Bottom line run away as fast as you can.
I really enjoyed my time living at Legends. The grounds were very well maintained on a weekly basis. The walkways in the buildings were cleaned regularly. Even though it is a pet friendly community, it was rare to see dog waste anywhere. Maintenance requests were handled quickly and professionally. There were frequent activities planned for the community. The office staff was friendly and accommodating. It is located in a beautiful area with great views. There are car and dog wash stations available. I always felt safe enough to walk at night. It was quiet and peaceful. I am so sorry I had to leave this community. We are in a community now that does not feel as safe or clean as Legends.

Apt area has always been kept clean with all grassy areas mowed, edged and blown clean of debris. Mgt is always improving amenities to dog run, play ground etc. Work orders are always handled the same day and completed if at all possible. Dead shrubs and flowers are removed and replaced with new plants. Rent is very reasonable for the area. Apt was well built and maintained with above average appliances. Complex is situated on a hill overlooking mountains. The road to complex is long and landscaped and very private. Pool area has piped in music with gas grills, a lounge area with bar with a big screen TV. Business room has computers, printers fax machines. Will stay here for a long time!
This is the best community ever. They are all family. They treat us like we are Kings and Queens. They throw parties for us, adult swims and massages. All we have to do is ask for anything whether it is a repair or a ceiling fan. They fix it with a smile ??. Anyone who lives in this community is so blessed I would love ? everyone to know about it.
