Property Ratings at Legends Canyon
They take forever to fix things, workers will sometimes show up unannounced, and management is charging me a lot of fees when I moved out and didn't return my security deposit.
This place is so dirty and disgusting. They don't spend any money maintaining the pool or the walkways. There is always a rotten smell in the stairwells. Dog poop is everywhere.
Definitely do NOT recommend living here. The current rating of Legends doesn't seem bad, but if you notice, all the 5-star ratings were given before or right around the time the complex first opened because they gave incentives for giving them a 5-star review. However, all the reviews given after people have actually spent time living there are "do not recommend" for a variety of valid reasons. Besides the incredibly rude staff and finding every reason under the sun to randomly charge you extra fees, my biggest issue with Legends came up during my move-out process. I moved out early this past spring semester after signing a reletting agreement. In the agreement that THEY made, it stated that the new tenant would take my apartment AS IS and I wouldn't be held responsible for any cleaning or repairs that needed to be made. When they sent me my move-out papers, they tried charging me $304 for damages and repairs. I called them to address the fee and they said that they "felt bad" for the new tenant moving in so they decided to get it cleaned and charge me the bill. After discussing with the general manager about the issues and defining the term "AS IS" to them, they agreed to disregard the charges but then sent a DEBT COLLECTOR after me which affected my credit. Luckily, after going out of my way to print out e-mails and contracts as proof, the debt collection was ceased. Terrible staff, terrible place.
