Property Ratings at Lemay Lake Apartments
I was a returning resident of Lemay Lake. I lived here for about a year prior to Covid 2019 era. Moving back to Lemay Lake Apartments was the worst decision I had made in 2022. I had only lived there for about a month when my kitchen started to flood. This led to cockroaches coming out of my sink, dishwasher and dispersing all over my apartment. I was able to get out of my lease but I still had to pay $2500 to do so while trying to get out of my lease I was not able to live in my apartment due to them spraying down the unit for cockroaches. I had to purchase a storage unit to keep all my furniture in so that the cockroaches would die before bringing them into a new place. I have contacted the city and county and they have stated that this is not the first time they are hearing that this property is not livable. From what I have heard the buildings are infested with cockroaches but in order for them to get rid of them they need to clear the units. Management might have sprayed down my unit one time but they did not come back to do it more than once. Spraying once does not help the cockroaches were still moving in the apartment after being sprayed down. I had lived there for 2 months and my kitchen flooded TWO times. When this happens I had a good amount of water in my kitchen almost touching the carpet. I had disgusting water coming up from my dishwasher and into my sink. I know that it is all connected but it is really gross smelling. Then I had to spend money on getting towels cleaned after picking up the mess. The maintenance person is absolutely amazing and I feel bad that he has to deal with me at this point. Cockroaches - I had cockroaches coming up from my sink. When I wash my dishes and open the dishwasher there were cockroaches crawling out from the bottom of the dishwasher. I have never seen something like this before and they tend to come out more after the kitchen floods. Management did send out a note about weed on the premise but it was an issue as I was constantly smell it through the vents in my bathroom. One night I was taking my dog out to go to the bathroom around 11:00pm. When I was coming back in I saw someone crawl through a window on the first floor of my building. If someone can crawl through a window on the first floor.. What would stop someone from crawling through my window as I sit on the first floor right by the doorway?

We want to take the opportunity to thank you for your positive feedback. We appreciate your residency, and always know you can reach out to us for any questions or needs you may have. Thanks again!
At first this apartment wasn't bad. We have had to call the police on many occasion's from fights in the parking lot to a women screaming for help. Also had been a murder in front of the property at the beginning of 2021. Car break-ins/thefts every week. On top of this we have had screaming children in the hallways. Disgusting washers/dryers that are never cleaned. People arguing in the halls and shouting outside our windows at all hours. Cars that sat unmoved/broken down for 2 years and were just finally towed. I would not recommend this apartment.

I reviewed your feedback and I appreciate the time you have invested to bring this to our attention. As crime has increased across the entire metro area over the last year, we have made great strides to help keep our community safe. One of these ways is in the formation of a neighborhood watch in partnership with the Eagan Police Department. We would welcome your involvement and input in our group. Please reach out if you are interested. Ronda Reinhart, Property Manager rreinhart@mandelgroup.com 651.454.5383
Background : Lived here roughly two years. Young working professional. 2 Bed 2 Bath. No pets. Pros : The tenants are all pretty respectful. The lake is great, and property management is pretty responsive in general. Service requests are speedily addressed. It's a good value overall, and if I worked out here, I would definitely consider staying. Cons : Some of the amenities are a little iffy. The treadmills in the gym don't always work or they'll break down, and sometimes the sanitizing wipes are out of stock. In addition, the mail room is often overflowing with packages, so finding your package can be a hassle.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience here at Lemay Lake Apartments! We pride ourselves on providing a great living experience in Eagan, and we're so glad that we made a positive impression on you. I'll pass on your feedback about the fitness center as we were unaware of any issues with the newer cardio equipment. With regards to packages, we do our best to accept and organize packages daily, but there are times when the room gets really full! Thanks again, and all the best in your new home!
Lived there for three years from 2017 to 2020 and every year it has gotten worse. There are so many thefts and management does absolutely nothing about it or to improve on building security. If you value your safety and property do not move here.

I am very sorry to hear that your experience at Lemay Lake Apartments did not live up to your expectations. Unfortunately, the entire metro area has had an uptick in crime over the last year. As the Property Manager, I value the safety and well-being of the residents of Lemay Lake, and have diligently worked on enhancing building security, cameras, and have added private security patrol. While crime has no zip code, it is our intention to do all we can to prevent it at our community. I truly appreciate the time you took to provide this feedback. I wish you all the best in your new home! Ronda Reinhart, Property Manager (rreinhart@mandelgroup.com)
It's a decent enough place to live for an affordable price, but we have lived here for almost a year and have already had several maintenance issues. The floor above us had a major plumbing leak and they had to come in and redo our entire ceiling (they did a sub par job at that) our apartment stunk and our carpets were wet for a long time and it was a hard for us to get a hold of someone to fix it in the first place, it didn't seem like much of a concern to anybody except for us. They spend more money on getting new chairs and umbrellas for the pool than they do on building repairs. The front door buzzer hasn't worked since we moved in (almost a year ago) and we have had several faucet leaks. Also not much to do in the area if you're young, unless you like middle-aged to senior hang outs with pricey drinks. At the end of your lease, if you decide to renew, they will also upcharge you, which I've never experienced another location doing.
These are in my opinion the best priced apartments in Eagan. The only thing that would make them better would be in home washer and dryer.
Lemay Lakes is one of the best places I've rented from and lived. Staff is always there and ready to help with everything.
There have been a lot of changes going on within the management team. All of the women who have been in charge of this building are awesome to work with. They have had major struggles finding good repair men though. I'm still waiting for something to be fixed that I asked for two months ago... I didn't think it was my job to remind them. However the grounds are kept very nice. The staff is pretty amazing and whenever I have had an issue (besides maintenance) it gets resolved very quickly.
Nice view, Nice Location. The Management, cleanliness, and nickel and diming they do is sub par. Management has big promises for residents that they do not follow through with. They only clean the main building, grass is rarely cut and their breed restrictions for pets is rough. On top of the amount you have to pay for your pet and then the extra pet rent. They will charge your $20 bucks for everything and then you still have to pay your utilities
