Property Ratings at Lenexa Crossing Apartments
Moved into this complex December 2022, it is now July of 2023. My apartment has a washer/dryer combo that hasn’t worked since the day I moved in. Was told they would have it fixed or replaced in 30 days of signing the lease. Have sent multiple work orders and spoke to the office and am told it’s going to be next month that it will get taken care of. It’s 7 months later and nothing has been done. I call the office and get no response.
Despite some of the horrible reviews, I don't go by what others say, I see for myself. I tried getting an apartment recently because I like how some of the floor plans look and it seemed quiet and peaceful with the birds chirping an all the serenity around but got turned down becuz the last apt complex I lived in told a bunch of lies on my name knowing I was a good tenant, (their haters) but seems to me like they should be trying to move ppl in ( who wants to lose money) although I agree they shouldn't just move anybody in since some ppl aren't clean which explains bug issues on the reviews, some ppl move in others who prob aren't decent and start problems... then again you will have ppl who are never satisfied so you can't please them no matter what you do for them...I only wish they would of saw past what others said about me just like I am about them and gave me a chance...what's funni is awhile back I got approved but had already found something I liked better @ the time which was closer to a job I had so I turned THEM down how ironic! Lol....
It’s been problems since the beginning. I’ve had nothing but problems. The day I moved in I didn’t have hot water due to the water pump being out. It didn’t get fixed for 5 whole days. After that My washer quit working. My water randomly gets shut off when I’m in the middle of shower and I call them sevral Times. I finally get ahold of someone and they tell me that they don’t send out notices when they need to shut off the water l. Then I was 2 days late on rent and they gave me a notice of eviction. In the apartment I have spiders and more plumbing issues. They never answer their phones. Never work with you. The worst thing about it is that I ignored the reviews because I thought it couldn’t be that bad but this place is a trip. I’m paying my fees and moving out !
I would not recommend living in these apartments. Though location is convenient and the rent is affordable, this is a case of "you get what you pay for." There are roaches all over the apartments that return even after pest treatments. The units are hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The maintenance and office staff are not helpful in resolving issues. It takes weeks to even get a call back. The office took 3 weeks to replace our dishwasher. There has been a rodent living in my ceiling for over a week. I've called 3 times with no response back. They obviously do not care about their residents. I will not be renewing my lease with them and would advise any potential residents to take their business elsewhere.
The new apartment renovations (countertops, new appliances, and fresh paint job) were great. The 2-in-1 washer dryer was more of a pain than a convenience: it only holds small loads and I had to run the dryer cycle twice to get clothes dry. It also broke and locked on me (with wet clothes still inside) and when I called for maintenance help, they told me to figure it out myself. I left because I didn't feel entirely safe there. The premises outside is not very well lit at night, and our building even had a light out in the stairwell for several weeks, leaving me no choice but to walk up the stairs at night in the dark. Not a great situation for a woman living alone. I also called the police several times for domestic disturbances (including seeing a man literally beat a woman to the ground in the parking lot). Our entire building also smelled like weed, and the smell even infiltrated my apartment. That being said, there are a lot of kids/families living here, and the office staff is friendly for the most part. So maybe my experience was just particularly unfortunate, but I moved out as soon as I could.
Terrible place to go, they make up reviews just to try to get business. One 5-Star review with plenty of 1-2 stars. Cmon now
I am very impressed with the renovations at Lenexa Crossing Apartments! The countertops are quartz and the clean white look really sparkles. The new flooring and fresh paint really make a difference and there is nothing better than having a washer/dryer in the apartment. I highly recommend!
No one is ever in the office and the only time you can put money on your laundry card is when they are in the office. I'm not spending my ONE day off trying to find you and ask you to open the office. Our fridge stopped working and we had to put in 3 maintinance requests and the girl at the front told us it wasn't an emergency so they would get to it when they can. $200 worth of food had to be thrown away! Studs are popping out of the wall in our bedroom and bathroom. My college dorms were much nicer than these places. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
Not a good place to live, there is trash overflowing the dumpsters for weeks and nothing is done about it. I've make multiple complaints and still nothing is done. This once tranquil environment is turning into a slum thanks to the new management.
very dirty nothing work very well, and no one can help you if you want to fix like AC or dishwasher, all the apartment AC is almost damages, and not working in the summer or in the winter. it has a lot of problem manger and maintenance, and the worst apartment i live in, and you can judge them in the court easily, and you will win, because they will tell you many laying during you live in, do not trust anyone in the office or maintenance or manager all of them are big laying.

not the best apartment to live in,have had many pest control issues and that's an extra fee in rent. you basically pay for every utility, including trash valet, but I've had issues where the trash has just sat outside and noone has picked it up. it's in a nice area,and the ladies at the front desk are nice but if you can try to avoid this place. tow trucks troll the area looking for expired tags and they will tow your vehicle away.

Also, during the time of your move-in paperwork, you do sign a pest control addendum that does explain that there will be charges. Regarding your valet trash, please notify us immediately so we may address the issue. The tow truck monitors the community to ensure that we don’t have any abandoned vehicles and/or expired tags. The only reason they would tow your vehicle is if the resident doesn’t contact the office.
