Property Ratings at Lennox Flats
I recently moved out after two years and I already miss living here! Lennox Flats is so charming, comfortable, and was the perfect place for me to start my life after college. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the neighbors I met were great! The location is amazing. I could sometimes hear neighbors more than I would like, but that is to be expected! I even grew to find the train comforting and familiar. I highly recommend exploring Lennox Flats as an option for your living situation and hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your two years at Lennox Flats and found it charming, comfortable, and the perfect place to transition after college. It's great to know that you appreciated our friendly staff, great neighbors, and amazing location. Your feedback about noise levels is duly noted, and we appreciate your understanding. -Lennox Flats Team
Another review complained about the train, but my apartment is located right next to it and while it runs at all times it rarely interrupts my day or sleep. Most of the other residents are grad students, and the place is pretty quiet. The leasing office also has fun event days throughout the month, normally celebrating some food holiday like pie day. And I'm one that will always appreciate free food :)

Thank you for the review! We appreciate the kind words and feedback!
I am coming up on my second year living at Lennox Flats. When I originally moved in it was mostly grad students, med students, and young professionals. It was peaceful for the most part and the neighbors were nice. Just in the last couple months the apartment has gone to pot with mostly OSU college students and kids moving in trashing the place. THERE IS TRASH EVERYWHERE AND THE GARBAGE BIN IS ALWAYS FULL. The pool is tiny and and half the equipment "amenities" don't work. YOU GET CHARGED FOR EVERYTHING. They claim rent prices are decent but then charge you for everything!! The walls are paper thin and I can hear my neighbors do EVERYTHING. Can't forget the LOUD TRAIN that will ensure you never sleep again (IT RUNS ALL THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT).
The apartment is nice, but I was supposed to get an unrenovated unit and they placed me in a renovated unit that was poorly done. They then added on a renovated unit fee without letting me know. It’s a nice community, but not worth the price for the subpar amenities and the large fee for trash/recycling service that sometimes doesn’t come. Make sure to go through everything clearly and tour the exact unit you want.
I have been living here for several years and I love the place. People are very friendly whether the staff or residents. Whenever you need help, you can go to the office and ask. The staff would try every way to help.If something does not work very well in the apartment, you call the office, they will fix it for you at the same day.Residents are very quite. Not mush noise. Some are students, some are people who have job. The Gym is clean and neat, very efficient. Garbage pick up on time. Most of all it is close to the campus, walking distance. So good for students.
The location of Lennox Flats is great and is a very high quality living area. The apartments are spacious and the amenities are very nice as well. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful during the move in process and make this place feel like home. Highly recommend!
The staff make you feel very welcome. Kelly and Kate are both very easy to work with. The apartments are clean, new, and very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to live.
Living here has been very pleasant!! All the staffs are so nice and they immediately takes care of anything that needs to be repaired.
I moved here a couple of months ago. So far, I’ve had a great experience. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The area is well maintained and safe. It’s location is amazing! You have Lennox Center (Target, Barnes and Noble, Staples, Marshalls) at walking distance.
The office staff had been nothing but nice and very helpful. I’ve had no problems or complaints since moving in a few months ago.
The apartments are located in a great location and have a professional and economical interior. The rents are a little high, but with how the market is going for single bedroom apartments, this is becoming par for the course on this side of town. Of the apartments I visited at this price range, this was the farthest away from downtown and campus, but also was one of the only ones that didn't have cheap interiors (appliances are new, countertops are nice, washer/dryer in unit). The customer service is also great, and the office takes care of everything you need them to. You get used to the trains going by very quickly, but they can still be annoying at some points.
I was originally unable to visit the property before committing to it. The office staff were absolutely excellent and made everything super simple and made me confident in my decision. They always are willing to help you out where they can. Was not let down when I moved in, now 2 leases ago.
I recently moved into Lennox Flats, and I absolutely love it. Diana in the leasing office was great and made all the paperwork and move in seamless! Usually setting up utilities and services is a nightmare, but everything throughout the process has been organized and easy. The apartments are clean, functional, and updated. All my furniture and clothes fit in with room to spare! Everyone who comes over is amazed by the natural light in the space because of the huge windows. The location is also incredible. It is so nice and quiet when I come home to my apartment to unwind, yet within walking distance to a target and variety of restaurants. If you’re not walking, its central to almost everything else around Columbus, and a breeze to hop on the highway and get where you need to go. Tucked away with plenty of lighting and lots of residents around, I feel so safe living in this community. Overall a great experience so far, and a perfect place to live!
I moved to Lennox Flats recently and it's a great place! The rooms have a ton of natural light and big windows, and are spacious and comfortable. The people at the leasing office are super sweet and any issues I've had so far get handled really quickly. The location is ~5 minutes away from where I work, and it's really close to the Lennox town center which has almost everything you could need. It's also pretty close to downtown and OSU. Would definitely recommend!!
I moved in to Lennox Flats a couple of weeks ago and I honestly love it. The leasing office is amazing. The atmosphere is great. Issues get taken care of immediately. It’s a relatively quiet community. Super close to restaurants, movie theatre, target. You really can’t go wrong here!
I moved into a 1 BR unit about two months ago. I was sold on this place after a great visit with the girls that work in the office - the staff here is very friendly and helpful. My apartment is lovely - huge windows and open floor plan. The price is a lot for a student, but I think it's worth the money because the complex is very close to campus, well-maintained, and peaceful.
Really enjoyed my one month stay so far. Really close to the hospital but on the quieter side. Close to target and bravo which is also great! Would recommend this place.
I moved into Lennox Flats at the beginning of May and so far living here has been wonderful! Diana and Sam in the leasing office are very helpful and friendly. Phil, who does maintenance, gets issues taken care of quickly. The apartments themselves are nice and the proximity to OSU is super convenient. The complex is relatively quiet and peaceful. There is also the bonus of a small swimming pool and gym. The only slight negatives I have experienced are the small storage space in the kitchen(no pantry to store food) and being right next to the railroad. My apartment faces it and when the trains come by and blow their horns the walls will vibrate. Not too much of an issue, but something to consider when they have passed as late as 1:30am. Overall, Lennox Flats is a great place to live if you can afford it!
I've been here a little over a month. So far i like the location, it's convent enough that i usually walk everywhere. Admittedly i like to walk, so my comfort distance extends to downtown. :-p For those that don't want to walk that far, target and the lennox plaza are right around the corner making it super convenient to run and get odds and ends. To address another review, i have yet to hear loud music or see any thrown beer bottles. Perhaps it's because it's summer, or maybe the other review got unlucky with his neighbors. Most the people i talk to in here are in the grad program or on their first jobs, and well past the crazy freshman stage in life. I will agree the windows do let through a fair bit of light, but i've adjusted to them easily enough. Similarly, the train was loud for about my first week. now i don't notice it, and when i did, it failed to wake me up. As for the staff, i have nothing but nice things to say. They stayed late to help me on a few occasions, every time i see them around they greet me with a smile and wave and are great to stop and just have a conversation with. Can't comment on the deposit thing yet, i guess i'll see that when i move out. I've documented all pre-existing damage and scratches, as you should with any apartment. As of now, my review stays at 5 stars. I'll update if i run into any of the issues mentioned in other reviews.
I’ve been living here for a month and love it already. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Sam did a great job of showing me an apartment and making the signing easy. Very nice kitchen and bathrooms with high ceilings and large windows. Bonus is that it has washer and dryer inside apartment. Like the pool as well. I’d recommend.
Been living here for about a year, and I am not disappointed. The apartments and amenities are worth the prices paid, the staff are all wonderfully helpful and friendly, and the location is great, with OSU, the Lennox shops, and bus stops within walking distance, and easy access to OH-315. My fiancee and I had the honest experience of finding our apartment more spacious once we had moved in. If you're looking for an apartment that is spacious and convenient, Lennox Flats is the place for you.
I absolutely love living here. The community is great for a couple of young professionals. The staff is AMAZING and maintenance is super quick. Great amenities and a great location. Recently signed to stay another year. Highly recommend.
I had to find a place to live as my six-month Airbnb rental was coming to an end I wasn't yet ready to buy an apartment in town. Then my estate agent drove by and checked out the website and recommended I have a look. I loved the place instantly. The staff is so friendly there's nothing they won't do to make your experience here as wonderful as possible. The Flats tend to be a bit small, but they're perfect for students, executives, anyone, really. The amount of natural light in the flats is fantastic. They pick up your recycling at your door and even your regular trash at your door as well. I highly recommend that you come for a tour and be ready to sign on the dotted line. You'll enjoy living here and being just minutes away from the cinema, shops, supermarkets, Short North and even hospitals.
The Lennox was recommended to me by a friend of mine from far west Texas who lived here with his girlfriend while they were attending law school at OSU in 2015. Three years later and I am now attending the law school and enjoying the same great apartment complex with its incredibly friendly staff. Chrissy, Diana, and Phil are nice people and good at what they do. When I first moved to Columbus about 8 months ago, I needed a standing lamp and Phil let me borrow one that he had just lying around. He ultimately even let me keep it which was ridiculously nice of him. If you are new to Columbus, Chrissy and Diana may also be really great resources for you in finding different places in the city to explore. If you are a student living here, I would even suggest not paying for school parking depending on maybe what side of campus you plan to frequent most. I take the bus which is about a 7 minute walk down Kinnear road towards Kenny Road. The COTA 31 picks up in front of 5th Avenue Floral and has a stop close to the student union in about a 13 minute ride. It’s also free with a BuckID. The other tenants here are very quiet and friendly. I recommend!
Pro's- The experience is great! The leasing agent and manager are sweet to work with. The maintenance is very timely and on-call 24/7. I'm a big fan of the trash services. The environment is laid back and quiet for the most part. And it's very secluded, therefore seemingly very safe. Con's- The complex is bedded right up next to an active railroad that passes a train nearly 6x per day. It is distinctively loud and obnoxious. Although I like the seclusion, only one entry/exit is sometimes irritating. And the price is relatively steep for the size and quality in my opinion. There are more space & cost effective options in the area. All in all , I like this community a lot as far as living goes and would strongly recommend... IF it were more feasible $/SqFt.
I had gotten tired of living on campus, especially after graduation, and this complex is a great upgrade from that. Noise is always at a minimum, even the train that runs by once or twice a day isn't a bother at all. The pool, fitness room, and movie theater are all great amenities, as is the door side trash pickup twice a week. The ladies in the office are always a pleasure to talk to, and maintenance will come out and fix something the next day, if not the same day. Overall living here is wonderful and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from campus living, but still be near the Short North, Grandview, and the Arena District.
We had to move into an apartment after our old one on High St. flooded and I could not be happier with Lennox! We have never waited more than a day for a maintenance issue to get resolved (the rare instances when something goes wrong) and absolutely love the people that work there. The units themselves are newly updated and well worth the price. We also have a dog so finding a nice complex that allows pets is not an easy thing to do in Columbus.
i really enjoy my time here at lennox, everything is amazing awesome and i couldn't ask for anything more. i highly recommend this place!!!
I have been living at Lennox Flats for almost a year now and the experience has been wonderful. Clean and very well maintained. Maintenance requests are answered promptly and diligently. Friendly and cooperative staff, and convenient location.
Lennox Flats has been wonderful the past few months. I feel safe, they keep the complex very clean, the staff is very friendly and always willing to help. My apartment is quiet and my dog and I are very pleased with our new home. I would highly recommend anybody looking for a one or two bedroom apartment around Columbus look into Lennox Flats.
Lennox Flats has been a great place for me so far for the last 5 months. I had the opportunity to furnish my apartment before move in which was amazing and what is most important for me is having a leasing office that is always welcoming. One great thing is maintenance is always done within 24 hours:)
Lennox Flats is a great place to live as a young adult in college/newly working due to the proximity of the complex to campus as well as great amenities such as free parking and washer and dryer in the apartment. The office staff is also always nice and accommodating!
First off, I’ve never lived anywhere but Illinois for all 2 years of my life. That said, when I was accepted into my dream school at THE Ohio State University, I knew I would have to find my own living space. Because I don’t know anyone in Ohio yet, I got a one bedroom and came across Lennox Flats. The reviews all talked about how great this place was, and they were all correct. The front office people are all so nice and super helpful. They go out of their way to greet you kindly and make sure you have everything you need. As for the apartments themselves? I’ve only been here for a week but I love my apartment. It’s spacious, inviting and super close to everything I need. There’s a gym at the complex itself, then there’s a grocery stores a couple miles away, tOSU is only a 9 minute drive, there are malls and stores and great restaurants all no further than 20 minutes away. Most are even closer than that. I would highly recommend Lennox Flats to anyone going to school at tOSU or just wanting a great looking apartment for a reasonable price in Columbus.
The apartment appliances are all fairly new - gas stove, washer and drier in the room, plus a decent sized kitchen considering the apartment size. Lennox is on the more expensive end of apartments, but if costs are split it's much more doable. The train that is nearby comes by fairly frequently, but after awhile it becomes background noise. At night, if a light sleeper, it could be problematic. As someone who commutes to OSU's campus by walking, it can be fairly inconvenient. My biggest complaints in this regard is the lack of sidewalks after crossing the railroads and the COTA is about a 10 minute walk in the other direction. Biking would most likely be the best form of transportation if heading toward campus. Lennox management has always been friendly and attentive - getting help with something that isn't functioning or asking questions is straightforward.
Move-in was super easy. Management is very friendly and helpful. Location is awesome!
I moved here a couple months ago. I had some setbacks in moving to a new city but Diana and Phil turned that around! They were very welcoming, accommodating, and made sure I was settling in well. I had a couple of issues here and there, but they made sure to get it fixed in a fast and timely manner. Also they made sure as a resident at Lennox Flats, my needs was a top priority, which has made this a continually fantastic experience.
I have just lived at Lennox Flats for a little over a month but, everything is great so far. I have worked with both Chrissy and Diana in the office and they are always EXTREMELY helpful. When little maintenance issues do come up they are always addressed promptly. Everyone in the complex is respectful, I have never questioned my safety. Overall, I am very happy with my decision to live at Lennox Flats.
Recently moved in here at Lennox Flats. Great amenities and people! Diana, the property manager, has been helpful, responsive, and cheerful to deal with! 10/10 would make the decision to move here again
I chose this place after looking around the Columbus area for a while. I needed something safe, updated (layout and appliances), big closet, comfy, close enough to OSU campus (I'm a grad/law student), quiet, clean, and close to things I needed. This place fits all those requirements; there aren't any "rowdy parties" you might find living closer to campus, my commute (by bus) is really short, I LOVE having a target, movie theater, etc. in walking distance from me. The maintenance is QUICK, friendly, and helpful. The office staff are really nice and address and questions or concerns you need. It'll be hard finding a place this nice, at this price, so close to campus and everything around us. I've lived hear for 4 months and I have no major complaints (the train to me is not a big deal at all).
I've been so happy since I moved in here. The staff in the front office is so helpful. I contacted Diana a million times before I moved in and she answered every single question I had, and still does. Also, they're quick to get back to you if they can't take your call or email right away. Maintenance is amazing- I needed an extra shelf for my built-in-bookcase that is in the breakfast bar in the kitchen, and Phil BUILT me one because they didn't have an extra one. There was another time when I was getting ready for work and I dropped my earring down the drain. Phil happened to be outside picking up the garbage (they pick up garbage and recycling from your door once a week, it's great) so I ran out there and asked him if he had time to get my earring for me really quick. He dropped what he was doing and helped me right away. I've been nothing but pleasantly surprised by Lennox Flats and I'm so happy I chose to live here. You can't beat the location- you're surrounded by any store/food imaginable. The property is constantly kept clean. The residents are friendly. I was worried about the train being so close before I moved in but I don't even notice it at all anymore. I never hear noise from surrounding neighbors or outside. The walls are thick, the blinds that come with the apartment are shockingly amazing- they block out a ton of light. The parking lot is well lit, but not too bright. Which for me is important because I'm usually worried about saftey, but I feel totally safe and secure here, even as a first floor resident. I just couldn't be happier.
Love my apartment! Maintenance is so quick to fix anything I need!!
Lennox is my first off-campus apartment as a college student, so I don't have much to compare to. However, I can honestly say that each interaction with the staff after moving in has been very nice. Chrissy, Diana, and Phil have always been eager to help with even my random, small questions. The location is certainly convenient (close but not TOO close to campus) and the amenities and quality of facilities are very appreciated.
Get ready to pay way too much for nothing special. The “valet garage and recycling “ is never picked up on time, leaving trash to rot outside and attract flies ants and other pests. All the while this “valet” service cost you an arm and a leg running from a reasonable 20$ a month to as high as 60$ that month just for garbage and recycling! Then you have to add in the communal electricity, recycling, water and sewage you’re paying ~ $100 a month just for these basic services that are included in most apartment complexes. Then you have to pay your other utilities on top of that. Then there’s the staff who are not at all helpful when you get a bug infestation because no one is picking up the trash and flies come in every time you open the door. And forget about the extremely loud train that goes by about every three hours honking its horn full blast as it goes by at 3am when you’re trying to sleep. Sure the location is great, but not so great that you would pay luxury apartment prices for a mediocre apt. Look elsewhere.
I just moved here from Pittsburgh-- after looking at 25 apartments in Columbus the Lennox Flats were my last stop. I couldn't have made a better life decision. 10/10 would recommend. My family & friends are jealous of my new apartment. The vaulted ceilings & huge windows & upscale appliances make you feel like you are living in downtown Manhattan as my mom said. Diana @ the leasing office is so freaking nice & so helpful! The amenities are to die for.. valet trash/recycling! Say whattt?! And the gym/pool/fire pit/theater are top of the line. The LOCATION is to die for... I can LITERALLY walk to Target/the movies/The Shoe & 315 is a hop skip and jump away. I have zero complaints about Lennox Flats! The bright colors of the buildings make me happy everyday. Also, people may say "you can hear the train"... ya maybe here & there but honestly after a day of living there I am use to it and never hear it or notice it. Everything is always top of the line at LF. Clean & Safe. If you wanna make your friend & family jealous I recommend moving in to The Lennox Flats!
I love it, the apartment is up to date and gorgeous inside and out. I live the unique coloring of the buildings and the management is awesome ! The maintenve team is great and swift as well. I would recommend to anyone.
Great place to live if you go to OSU; close to campus and very big/spacious apartments. Also very friendly staff :)
Been here for two weeks. Great location. Helpful staff. Well-constructed apartment units.
Just moved in a little over a month ago. Leasing office staff have been super helpful during move in and in the first few weeks getting set up. So far all of my maintenance requests have been completed within 24 hours, which is fantastic. Overall, the apartment is great high ceilings and lots of natural light. Common areas are clean and well kept, I'm very pleased with my experience so far!
I really wanted to enjoy living here. Unfortunately, the negatives significantly outweighed the positives. I apologize for the bad formatting (seems that the website does not support bullet point lists): •There are an abundance of non-negotiable fees that are not made clear until you are signing the lease. These include: -“valet” recycling and trash ($60 per month!, see following bullet point) -common electric ( ~$15 per month, for heat/lightning in leasing office and clubhouse) -First Billing Service administrative fee ($9 per month) -misc. utility activation and termination fees (~$100 total) •“valet” recycling and trash which provided doorside trash and recycling pick up. In theory this is convenient, but the longer we lived here, trash pickup days were missed increasing frequency. When we moved out, pickup was scheduled for three times per week (two for trash, one for recycling). There were many weeks where, we were lucky if they came around only once in a week to pick up trash or recycling which is unacceptable when you consider that you are paying $60 per month ($720 per year) for this service. • The apartment we were leased was not the same layout/floorplan as the demo unit we were shown (Our unit did not have an entryway closet/alcove nor a door leading directly from second bedroom to bathroom). • Upon move-in, the apartment we moved into was dirty. The wood/laminate floor was covered in a fine-dirt that required a thorough mopping to clean. Both toilets also had considerable mold build-up. • The leasing office staff, although friendly before signing lease, are completely unresponsive to residents’ needs once moved in. I requested an electronic copy of our lease no fewer than four separate times and never ended up having one. • Leasing office staff will try to force you to post a prewritten online review for the complex (check out some of the stellar 5-star reviews praising Jessica, the community manager). Many of them use the same language and are obviously written by the leasing office to give their complex a falsely positive online presence and downplay the honest, but negative reviews. • AT&T is the only internet provider available with a maximum speed of 15 Mbps. Internet-only packages (without cable) include datacaps. Be prepared to spend about $90 per month to get semi-reasonable internet. • Walls and ceilings have poor sound insulation. Footsteps from floor above are clearly audible Rent at your own risk.
I have been living here for a week now. So far I really like the place. The location is very convenient and is a walking distance to campus. The condition of the apartment when I moved in was great. All the appliances are like-new. The apartment is beautifully designed. Overall, the place is definitely worth it.
