Property Ratings at Lennox at West Village
If you're considering a move to Lennox West Village, I hope you have a lot of patience and low expectations. I recently moved in, and I can't express how disappointed I am with my experience so far. From the moment I submitted my application and paid the fee, there was zero communication from the leasing office. I had to call several days later just to check on my approval status, and their response was a nonchalant, "Yeah, you were approved instantly." They never sent an email with a checklist of things needed before moving in, and every time I called, I felt like I was bothering them. The leasing office also messed up my lease twice, forcing me to wait until my move-in day to generate a new lease for the third time. This was particularly stressful as I was traveling 18 hours to Dallas and was unsure if I would even have an apartment upon arrival. When I finally moved in, I was shocked to find that the AC unit was broken, making the apartment uncomfortably hot. To add insult to injury, the unit was extremely dirty—my socks turned completely black on the bottom just from walking around. I soon discovered that the toilet was broken and it took several days for maintenance to fix it, not to mention the ice maker that also didn’t work. Although the unit appeared recently painted, the painters covered outlets and cable wiring so thoroughly that I couldn't even connect to the internet. As if all that weren't enough, my neighbor is incredibly noisy, making it impossible to relax or get a good night's sleep. I can hear loud stomping from above, as if an elephant lives there. Overall, my experience at Lennox West Village has been extremely disappointing. If you're considering moving here, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This place shows no pride in their service or in the community they represent.
Do not live here if you work from home - the fire alarms go off MULTIPLE times a day every single day. The location is amazing and the rent is affordable but it is so ridiculous that we constantly have to listen to fire alarms blaring throughout the building when there is no fire. Office does nothing to fix the problem & just says they are “working on it.” It has been happening for 4 months now.
This complex is currently forcing the majority of their tenants out one by one for construction that was clearly planned before signing leasing. BAD FAITH - AVOID AVOID AVOID

DO NOT MOVE HERE. In addition for the public spaces being unkempt, the apartments are gross, not well maintained, and you can hear everything. The elevators hardly ever work, and they try to charge more for rent than brand new high rises. After you move out, they'll try and claim you owe them money for cleaning and damages that NEVER occured. Unless you're interested in trying to be extorted, don't do it. There are SO many better places to live in Dallas.
If you're up for living in a good retail location, that one star is for you. This place gives me the shivers thinking about it. This place is not quiet and there's no privacy. Construction going on everywhere, no warning that there might be construction workers at your window. I know apartments are more expensive in uptown but this is nowhere near worth it. The elevators are broken all the time and their idea of renovation is doing work on the outside of the apartment and painting over everything. No joke, the elevators were broken at least once a week and the floors are painted black because that's the easy thing to do. Everything has a band aid over it. No customer service and the management is beyond rude and insensitive. If you overpay because one of their staff members gives you the wrong information good luck with getting your money back. And I'm not talking about loose change. There are gross smells everywhere and it's like living in a garbage can walking through some hallways. I REALLY hope that someone reading this saves their money and goes somewhere else. This place does not deserve business. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT move here.
I was in Dallas for 10 weeks on an internship. I fell in love with the Lenox! It was the perfect location. The only complaint i had was that the maintenance was a little slow replacing lightbulbs. I will definitely consider the Lenox for when i move to Dallas permanently!
Only live here if you want to live in a building that is literally rotting from the inside out! This place is less of an apartment complex and more of a permanent construction zone. The building was not constructed properly and water has leaked into all the exterior walls causing the wood frames behind the stucco to have severe water damage. They are painstakingly ripping out 50 foot x 50 foot chunks of the exterior. I have a massive blue crane about 10 feet from my window that wakes me up every morning for the past three months and stays running all day. Management has no clue how many more of these rip up jobs will take place because they don't know the extent of the water damage until people move out and they can inspect. To throw in some extra fun, the Manager told me they will be replacing the roof soon. In addition, the lobby has been under renovation for several months as well. Starting to get the picture? Maybe this place would be a nice place to live in 2017, but I wouldn't move in before then. The place has lots of noise from the West Village parking garage - car alarms, uptown drunks, idiots revving their engines, etc. The leasing office is hard to get ahold of and I end up walking down there when I have an issue because I can't get through on the phone or via e-mail half the time. The bright spots here are the units themselves and the floor plans which have been updated. The location advantages are obvious.
You will regret it. First, the complex is falling apart. They are remodeling the entire building, but at the lowest possible cost. Water is dripping in the halls, and the pool has been under construction for months. There was water damage in my friend and I's apartment, and the complex refused to reimburse us for everything that was damaged! The staff is not helpful and extremely rude. They find ways to con you for more money (e.g. fines, penalties, etc.), it's ridiculous. Although the location is great, it's not worth the poor living conditions and terrible service.
