The section of Arlington bordering Ronald Reagan Washington International Airport just south of the Pentagon is largely a business and commercial district full of large high-rise buildings. The lifestyle here is distinctly urban, with many corporate professionals living very close to where they work (the close proximity to the airport, the Pentagon, and Washington also makes the Crystal City community a popular choice for government employees and frequent travelers).
Folks around the DC area are familiar with the shopping centers here, particularly the famous subterranean Crystal Underground mall. Residents also enjoy easy access to several large public parks, including the scenic Long Bridge Park and Four Mile Run Park.

Property Ratings at Lenox Club
It took multiple weeks and follow ups after I initially reported mold to Lenox management and requested a mold test for them to address my concerns. I was told that the testing company would test and clean. The maintenance mngr gave a kit & claimed it was from a certified testing company. I found maintenance had allowed a mold remediation team into my apt unsupervised. When asked, the team said they do cleaning and didn't give the kit. The Lenox used deceptive tactics to wipe evidence of the mold in at least 5 units that I'm aware of. After raising the issue to the VP and regional manager, they apologized and sent an actual mold inspector. To resolve the mold after my vents were cleaned, I was told to keep windows closed & buy dehumidifiers. At this point, the mgmt company had been made aware of the maintenance manager's unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and incompetency & continued doing nothing to ensure it was resolved. BMC claimed the maintenance manager was spoken to about it, yet he threatened a woman with a fine if she refused the mold cleaning service (after showing up unscheduled and unannounced) since they had not yet tested for the mold, and without Lenox supervision. To another resident, maintenance insisted they were spraying "mold killing paint". The Lenox and senior leaders at Bernstein Management Company are aware that their staffs grant unauthorized and unsupervised entrance to apartments and the flagrant safety, security, and utterly inexcusable violations continue to occur. I know of multiple units aside from my own where the maintenance team let third party vendors in or gone into the wrong unit unscheduled and unsupervised. This happened to me twice in the span of two weeks. How uninvolved and how many failures have to occur for a third party vendor to perform unsupervised and unauthorized work in an apartment they weren't allowed to be in? A hole broke in the bathtub, which was heavily rusted, which they re-glazed part of, only for the rust to re-appear one month later. My drain in my bathtub and toilet was constantly clogged and every time I reported it, they sent a maintenance team to do a shoddy job. When I reached out to the VP of property management, it turns out that was also not what should have been done and the VP quickly rectified and sent an actual plumbing team, only they went to the completely wrong unit and had to be sent back to my unit hours after they'd left.
Potential renters who have really tried and wanted to live here. However, the leasing team has made this impossible to the point where my significant other and I couldn't justify us enjoying the floor plan and friendly concierge staff. Through multiple tours, or I should say attempted tours, I have had to wait on the leasing team for over 45 minutes the first time (when the leasing staff pushed back an open house to other potential renters by two hours because they weren't prepared), being told we could have a move-in deal over the phone only to be given conflicting information as we waited in-person, to the most recent attempt at a tour not being booked despite us being in the office with them. We truly wanted to live here and thought it would have been nice to, but the leasing staff's consistent insults combined with the frankly non-existent amenities have made this impossible. We wanted to call Lenox Club our home, but at each and every turn the leasing staff rudely has been making the process as difficult as possible. It is a shame because concierge staff are friendly and helpful, and at multiple times agreed that how leasing was treating us is unacceptable. Live elsewhere- leasing staff has no incentive to help or do anything that would make people want to live here.
I'm only giving this place 2 stars due to the location. It's literally a 5 min. walk to the metro, has a Whole Foods nearby, and the Pentagon City mall nearby! However, management seems very disorganized and just not well run. I scheduled an apartment tour for noon, showed up on time, and found out he had already started a tour with someone else. I waited 45 min. and when he came down from the earlier tour, there was no acknowledgement or apology for keeping me waiting. What was the point of even scheduling an appointment? There was also other tenants waiting for management with issues with their apartments/parking so that really didn't sit well with me as someone looking for an apartment. And the building may look nice in the pictures but it's way different in person. While it does have modern touches, it's barely hiding the fact that it's still a run down building.

Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to post a review for Lenox Club. As you point out, we have a great location and great amenities to offer. Unfortunately, you apparently had a bad visit with us and that is very concerning to me. I would love the opportunity to talk with you about your experience as what you describe does not meet our standards. If you feel up for it, please give me a call at 703-418-0130. I would love to turn your opinion around! Thank you, Adriana, Lenox Club Property Manager
Okay albeit slowly decaying building (has an indoor pool/spa with limited hours, okay gym, nice sauna, nice party room, decent sun deck) with AWFUL management. If you move here you better pray that nothing ever breaks and you never have to interact with the management office in ANY way. The second either of these things occur, you'll want to flee this place like the horrible sinking ship it truly is. After living here for nearly 8 years, I can't figure out whether the current management is malicious or simply THAT incompetent. The office is closed on weekends now so if anything occurs (such as my sewage filled sink), your only recourse is to beg the contract security guard at the front desk to call maintenance. They may or may not ever respond, and almost certainly won't do so in a timely manner. The front desk (as of fall 2017) has also been instructed to NEVER give you the property manager's personal number under any circumstances so you better hope things only happen during the week while the office is open. On weekends, you're basically on your own. There are other issues here as well, elevators used to work well but now are constantly broken. One elevator was broken for weeks and in fact one morning ALL of them were out of service without any notice or warning to residents who were left giving up and heading down many flights of stairs. Getting packages here is a crapshoot at best, as packages seemingly disappear and reappear randomly and are seldom if ever accurately recorded in the log. Even if they recorded, their online notification system is semi-functional at best. Many times I was randomly given a package days or a couple weeks after it was supposedly never entered into the system and therefore didn't exist. Want to order delivery food? You better check what their "policy" is that day as it seemingly changes by the minute. One day they suddenly decided the front desk must call and speak to all residents before delivery people are allowed up and that "has always been the policy" even though it never existed in the 6 years I lived there to that point. After a big show of this policy for a few days, it once again seemingly disappeared. When I moved to this building in 2010, it was an excellent building with management who tried to take care of their residents and do the right thing. Now, this is a sinking ship with management that is deceitful to their residents and tries to squeeze every last cent from them at every opportunity.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to leave a review about Lenox Club. We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your time living with us. We take feedback from our current and former residents very seriously and we would welcome you to give our management team at 703-418-0130 to discuss your concerns. Thank you!
I lived at Lenox club for 2 years (2015-2017) and was generally satisfied with my living experience. Nonetheless, Lenox club will scam you when you move out. I received a bill for over $700 for a minor carpet stain! During my two years at Lenox club, I had switched apartments from a studio to a one bedroom. During the first switch, while I was remaining in the building, I received no charges whatsoever upon move out. Then, when I finally left the building, they nickle and dimed me (again over $700) even though the apartment was in the same condition as the previous one I had switched from. I moved for a temporary job relocation and was planning to move back to the Lenox Club in one-year. Now I would never consider it, knowing that the nonsense they put you through upon move-out.

We are sorry that your move out experience was not as positive as your overall living experience while at Lenox Club. We conduct a move out inspection of each apartment home when one of our valued residents has to move and we always welcome the resident to participate in the move out inspection with us. During this time we can identify any areas of concern and discuss those with you. We would certainly love the chance to have you reside at the community again when your job brings you back to the DC area and we hope you will consider The Lenox Club as a viable option. We are also available to discuss your carpet damage with you at your convenience and you can reach us at 703-418-0130. We wish you all the best.
My family has been living in Lenox Club for 13th months. Great location! There is a nice indoor pool, sauna, gym, picnic area, coffee machine. Management and staff are incredible and we love coming home to this building everyday. Service is great and the building is always clean. Igor 10.02.2017

We are so happy to hear that you and your family have been enjoying your time with us! Thank you, and have a fantastic day!
We would give "zero" if we could. Scammy lease contract, so be AWARE! True headache started upon the move out. We lived there 09/2014 - 12/2016. First - they increased the rent by A LOT for lease extension (hence the move out). This is not a friendly management that locks you in with at fair price for years. NOPE. Garage situation is HORRIBLE. Spots are hard to find, super narrow, - impossible to not have your car dented by others. For $75 a month, garage is rusty, running water and cracked pipes everywhere, dirty, and full of cars that are "no one's" They promised that maintenance fixings will be "included" in the lease. At the end of the year we ended up having to pay for some! We had leaking fridge and rotting kitchen floors, they took several months to fix it. We ended up having to pay for part of that "service." Other things that made no sense ended up on move out bill too. Beware! Poor, unfriendly management. Scammy lease contract.
While expensive, the prices are very competitive for the area. Right by the metro and they are constantly improving the building and its grounds. Fantastic views and a very nice staff. This place is very livable.
The location, close to the Pentagon City and Crystal City metro, parks, and restaurants make this building worth checking out and the other residents are friendly and welcoming. Additionally, maintenance and security staff are wonderful and helpful. Another huge plus are the free aerobic and yoga classes. However, building management has made the Lenox Club feel like a business more than home with new policies squeezing every last dime from residents without improving services. For example, parking was raised inexplicably last year by 50%, free coffee hours cut drastically, guests must now pay for parking, and the list goes on. The building's common spaces and exterior have recently undergone renovation, but I fear this too will end up with higher rents somewhere in the near future.
This apartment building was a great option when starting out, but for the price and amenities all the surrounding buildings have it beat. Not to mention they underwent major construction impacting residents with allergies and didn't provide an alternate route into the building or more than a few weeks notice.
