Property Ratings at Lenox Park
ROACHES! ROACHES! ROACHES! mold, robberies, broken elevators, sketchy neighbors, poor water temperature, unannounced water shutoff. I left after a 1 year lease. Save your time and money - look elsewhere.
Excellent location, & Very Convenient. The building is really nice too.
I wish I would have listened to everyone saying not to live here. There is a bug problem, the elevators never work. They keep saying that they're working on them and they'll be fixed, what they don't say is that the "fix" will take years. I live on the 15th floor and have had to walk up the stairs twice because none of the elevators worked. My shower does not allow for the changing of temperature. I tried to get it fixed but that didn't work. The pool leaked into the parking garage. There have been robberies in the parking garage and in the building. And now they are having sprinkler issues so we are without water until tonight. I dont even want to think of the other issues. The staff is great, but the building owners are terrible for what we are paying for.
My partner and I have lived here for about a month now and I don't have one bad thing to say about this place. Maintenance issues are addressed almost immediately. The leasing office responds to emails in a timely manner. The front desk team is AWESOME. You're notified if there's packages waiting for you, and also given reminder emails about your parking fee being deducted (which isn't technically part of Lenox Park, but it's their parking garage so figured I'd note it). The apartments are spacious and I think for the area and the amenities it's fairly priced. Of course if you want upgrades you pay for that (cuter kitchens). You'll see others mention the elevators were out of service, or all but one were, which is something we have experienced. All you have to do is talk to the front desk, though.. After a weekend of it being down to one elevator I brought it up to the front desk staff on my way to work... by the time I came home it was resolved. Easy fix, just communicate. Overall I'm so so so happy that we came across this place because it's been a place I look forward to coming home to.
Do not rent here! This place is very bad. The plumbing is falling apart and constantly leaks throughout the building. The place is also infested. Doors repeatedly falling off, broken disposal, and the list goes on. Residents are constantly complaining and moving out. They will lie to you and also fix things when they fell like it. Management doesn’t even reply when you to try to reach out to them. The only thing they do fix is the esthetics of the lobby and paint the walls to lure you in. The inside of the building is falling apart. Don’t move here!
Don’t move into the building. It is very bad.. the location is great but that is it. Everything is wrong with it. Leaking constantly and pests!
I was interested in an apartment in this property. I had to go there 3 times because they never communicate via email or phone. I wasted 15 days for nothing because of their unprofessional leasing office.
I generally like living here, they have good amenities and a convenient location. However, I feel compelled to write this review to warn current and future residents about security concerns as my bicycle was stolen from the "secure" bike cage in the garage. To enter the cage one has to sign a log book to get a fob from the front desk, and sign it back in. Once it started to get cold I didn't ride for about 3 weeks and when I returned it was gone. The security and management basically had no response or sense of concern. There is really no point to the sign in book, fob system or the security cameras. Store your bike at your own risk, don't rely on the pretense of a security system or expect any recourse or significant response from management.

I liked living at Lenox Silver Spring Apartments, until my Motorcycle got stolen right out of the garage that you must pay monthly to park in. My bike was stolen on 7/22/16. It got stolen because the apartment was negligent in fixing the garage gate. They were told over and over again to fix the gate to the garage. And it just so happened that my bike got stolen while the security/concierge person was away from the desk, where he would have seen the two guys who stole my bike walk right into the garage and leave 15minutes later on my bike. Soon as they leave on the bike, the person appears back at the desk!! How odd is that?? Coincidence?!? I doubt it! So if you value your property I do not advise parking your vehicle in the garage at Lenox Park Apartments. YOUR PROPERTY IS NOT SAFE IN THIS GARAGE!!
Lenox Park is a great apartment building to live in. Immediate access to the Red Line Metro, grocery stores, and beautiful trails are within just a block as the building resides just on the edge of Downtown Silver Spring. The interior decoration is very modern and trendy, which is a nice touch when showing off to friends. The maintenance staff is friendly and VERY quick as some reside within the building. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful, especially Nostam (Sorry if I spell that improperly!). The management staff is also friendly and helpful as well. Prativa made sure to assist us in every step along the way and was very, very helpful ensuring all of the paperwork was processed efficiently. For those with a family, this building is also very friendly as it has a small rec room that can be accessed at any time AND a lifeguard on duty for the pool in the court yard. The pool is large enough for adults who enjoy lap-swim and small enough for children as there is no "deep end". There is also an area with free grills to host cook outs! The courtyard has just about anything you could ask for in an apartment building. Finally, the building also has several shops that make living here even more convenient. There is a well stocked beer and wine shop, dry cleaners, subway and even a dentist if you so choose. You'll be hard pressed to find a more convenient place to live in the DC area. The apartment itself is also wonderful. 850 square feet it fantastic for this area, all of the appliances work well, laundry is included in-unit, walk-in closet and sufficient storage space. I even have a wonderful view from my lanai overlooking the park while the sun sets. I have zero complaints on my apartment. There are some things I'd like for the building to improve upon. The hot tub has never been hot the three times I've used it. It has just been a slightly warmed pool that bubbles. The lifeguard on duty only seems to know how to activate the bubbles, why can't they adjust the temperature as well? The pricing is a bit of a dupe. The $1650 I pay for my sizable one bedroom is completely fair price given the amenities provided. However, if you want to park in the parking garage, which of course you do, it's where you live. The cost is about $110 for ONE car and $170 for a tandem stall, which can be especially irritating if you and your significant other do not have spare keys for your cars. Despite these irritations, I still give this building five stars!
THE LENOX APARTMENTS ARE SPACIOUS , QUIET AND A VERY SECURE BUILDING. MAINTANCE REQUEST ARE DONE THE SAME DAY. METRO ACROSS THE STREET, BUSES ARE WALKING DISTANCE.FRONT DESK WILL TAKE ALL PACKAGES. THE STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. EXERCISE ROOM. POOL, GREAT OUT OOR SPACE WITH GRILLS. THERE IS A HAIR SALON, NAIL SALON AND WINE AND CHEESE STORE. THE BUILDING IS LOCATED NEAR GROCERIES STORES AND RESTURANTS ALL IN WALKING DISTANCE.
I have been living at Lenox Park Apartments for about 5 years now and I love it here. Amenities such as the pool, the gazebo, the media center and the second floor lounge make it all so worth it to dig a bit deeper in one's pockets for luxurious and comfortable living
