I moved here in August 2024, the community here is amazing and everyone is so nice. My a/c was broke the first day but maintenance came out and fixed it instantly. I also had some other issues but maintenance came and fixed it next day. They are very professional and get the job done so fast. Other than that the property manager is fantastic and really listens and communicates well. Never had an issue here the apartment feels luxury. I have been here for 3 months and still love it here and feel like I’m in a safe area. There also a lot of community events and the other residents have been very friendly.

The property is well kept and staff is very approachable which is a major plus in my book. I like that it close to the highway so I am never too far from anywhere and it helps make commute to work a breeze.

Poor management has taken over these apartments. When I first moved in they answered the phone so you could get assistance. They don’t now. Tons of roaches when I never had them before moving here. Packages aren’t delivered bc they front key code for my building doesn’t work. Inability to to submit service request online. Prices are comparable and low ish.

I really liked this place for a number of reasons. 5 min drive to all shopping needs, 5 mins drive to my kids school. 20 mins to my job. It's right off the highway, but no highway noise. The farm across the road with the horses is a definite highlight. Last but not least, the area is just peaceful and quiet. I love it here.

I recently moved out of Level at 401 after 2.5 years living there. My first impressions were OK, although the day I moved in no one on staff would direct me to my unit as I had not actually seen it, I had only visited a comparable unit. After sorting that out, I moved in with no problem. The apartment itself was fine, although over time I noticed the common areas and grounds got worse and worse. I'm not sure exactly what happened but residents seemed to have lost respect for the place. People do not pick up after their dogs so you need to watch where you walk. They also throw garbage everywhere; in the stairwells, in the bushes, all over the parking lot, you name it. Another minus is the noise. Expect to have cars playing extremely loud music drive through the parking lot day and night. Oh, and if you decide to move in, get a unit that faces the back of the property. Cars race up and down 401 constantly, and the noise will fill your apartment. Maintenance is responsive, but my AC unit went out during the worst of the summer heat so they brought over a window AC until parts came in. I ended up relying on that undersized window unit for a few months before the repairs could be made. It was so small it couldn't cool the entire apartment. Their doesn't seem to be much crime which is a plus, unless you count the young lady who was murdered in the parking lot in June 2020. Management was nice enough to send out an email about it though. Level at 401 advertises as a "luxury" apartment complex but they really aren't. There are better places to rent from in Raleigh. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live.

These people will lose paperwork like it's an Olympic sport. They're very difficult to reach and that combination, will definitely affect you sooner or later. They might tow your car and be unable to find the paperwork that says it shouldn't be towed. They may forget to paint your walls back after a previous tenant, and charge you for the painted walls. They might leave you a damaged stove and charge you for it. They will definitely charge you hundreds for trash when you move out, even if you leave a spotless apartment. They do not have any regard for the law or your wellbeing, there is no reason you should trust them.

Lived here for almost two years now,Management has changed several times and no matter who they hire they are just flat out rude! Everyone in the office including the property manger! My A/C has went out 4 to 5 times this summer and is still broken! And no one seems to care even when you call the office no one Absolutely no one cares I called corporate and seems even after talking to them that didn’t help. I will not be staying here much longer and I wouldn’t recommend moving here unless it’s short term. Customer service is just completely horrible they have attitude with you because they fail to keep the property up and keep it’s residence happy and when you call to complain they give you straight attitude.

The company charges you for someone to come pick you up trash almost daily they leave atrash bag without picking it up. when i called the company they hung up on me. absolute worst find you a different place to live. If you dont want trash piles outside your door. unsanitary.

If there was a option for no stars that's what i would give! This place absolutely needs to be shut down and it seems I'm not the only resident who thinks so. They move you into apartments that are not at all ready! You pay an arm and a leg to stay here but you don't get the proper treatment. If there is a mess up on their end oh trust me YOU WILL PAY for it. THEY DO NOT CARE!! I wouldn't recommend an animal stay here. The doors were always open up until about a week ago. How unsafe? Very dangerous for people who are not animal lovers because people just have their dogs loose with no consideration and you never know what you may run into when leaving your home. There are no cameras on the property to my knowledge. I have asked and was told no cameras. The maintenance guys have absolutely no idea what they are doing except for one! He always has to come back behind the other maintenance guys and actually fix the issue. The property manager does not respond and relays all messages through other people. Every option they have to help you out for any inconvenience on their behalf you have to come out of your own pocket. How convenient? CHANGE MANAGEMENT PLEASE!!!!!! There is a need for a better operating team in the office! Any place of business is always supposed to honor customer service first. How can we make our residents happy should be the main goal. CUSTOMER SERVICE COMES LAST AT LEVEL AT 401! DO NOT MOVE HERE! It'll be very disappointing.

My girlfriend and I both live here. It has been terrible ever since we moved in. Everything was broke upon move in. Management not helpful at all. They just want your money but don't want to give the best customer service. The worst apartments in Raleigh!
Level at 401 is a beautiful property, but what’s truly wonderful about it is the staff. We worked with both Kent and Quadarius, but I will admit it was Kent who sold us initially. Always polite and cheerful, makes you smile whenever you encounter him. That’s the kind of customer service someone could get behind (and definitely get used to). Very patient, and has solved every little problem we’ve encountered. Thank you!

We had really high hopes for this place! The sign up process was easy, considering we were moving 800 miles away we appreciated the property managers' efforts to lock us in at a lower rate, so we signed a lease a full month before we moved in. Immediately after we moved, the problems started. The first management turn over happened just before we moved in, in Dec 2017. While the property manager was helpful, the office staff was incredibly rude and unresponsive to our requests for information about our lease and what paperwork we needed to sign. We opened our very first service request the week we moved in for carpet staples sticking up and either snagging our socks or piercing our feet. That took nearly 2 weeks to be addressed. We opened another service request for the A/C in February. Our apartment was getting upwards of 80 degrees inside and was extremely uncomfortable. Long story short, we opened FOUR ADDITIONAL SERVICE REQUESTS for the same air conditioner over the next 4 months. The problem was never resolved, and temperatures inside were well above 80 at this point as we headed into late spring/early summer. No apologies, no attempts to say "something isn't right," just bandaid-ing the same terrible solution. Somewhere in the midst of the above, there was yet another management turn over. We went to the office during office hours to speak with someone, no one was there! We called and left messages that were never returned. We sent e-mails that were never read. Even as I write this, we have been moved out for months and they are billing me for water that I was leased let alone present to use! Unbelievable! Guys, the inside of the apartment is nice, but you can find better! And more quiet! The street is so dang noisy, and the staff is unbelievably incompetent, the A/Cs do NOT work -- brothers and sisters, move on!
Just moved to Raleigh recently for work. Went apartment hunting and came across level at 401. They are really beautiful large apartments. Great looking property. A big difference from the apartments I’m used to back home. Staff was friendly, which is a plus. Waiting for my boyfriend to come down so he can see them as well and then we can make a decision.
I love this community. It is so clean, lots of parking. conveniently located off the highway without any of the highway noise. I highly recommend this community.
Do not move here. Drug dealers (I don’t go out at night). Makayla in office acknowledged she knows who the dealers are. Water damage not repaired in two years, keep adding on extras like required cable, you cannot get packages delivered. They have small lockers that you put in a code to get a package, but nothing fits in them so you have to pick up at a fed ex or ups facility. Constant negative emails. Third mgmt company in 6 months. Whole property and elevators smell like weed. I had trouble getting a light bulb out of ceiling fan and was told I can change light bulbs myself. Can’t wait to move.
Management has great ideas and rules, but they look the other way when rules are violated and I have seen them walk right by residents violating rules and they do nothing. If you call them about a problem all they do is say yes we will take care of it but they never do. Tenants just do what they want with no regard to neighbors.
I moved into my apartment 3 months ago this is the first apartment I've lived it that didn't have cockroaches and other pest. My rent is a little on the pricey side but the security and power bill is amazing. I live in a studio apartment by myself, I'm a 22 year old girl and I'm a waitress trying to get though school as well. I would say this is the nicest place I've ever lived when it comes to feeling safe and although the rent may be high the low power bill helps out a lot and also it's really nice to not have to worry about bugs in the house! New apartment community. I'm the first to move in mine. Beautiful building with elevators it was a breeze to move in. Lived here over 5 months and love my place. It comes with a washer and dryer. It has a clubhouse with work out room. It's close to everything with the beltline being less than a mile away. It comes with a washer and dryer and rent is very reasonable. Also the mall and large shopping center is only 2 blocks away. I Love It Here !!!
