It would be easy to characterize Gainesville as a pure college town—the University of Florida is home to over 50,000 students in a city of 130,000, and the campus is arguably the defining cultural hub of the community. Between the art exhibitions, concerts, lecture series, and, of course, the wildly popular Gator sporting events, the UF campus culture is a magnet for students, locals, and visitors alike.
But Gainesville has much more to offer than just an electric collegiate atmosphere. The historic Hippodrome State Theatre anchors the thriving Downtown district, which is packed with a vibrant assortment of bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. Local favorites like Flaco’s Cuban Bakery and Volta Coffee attract a steady stream of students and non-students alike at all hours of the day and night.

Property Ratings at Lexington Crossing
I have been trying to get in contact with a manager at the property and I can not seem to get a response. Vendors are entering my home on a daily basis, moving all of my furniture and personal belongings, as well as leaving all my lights on for hours at a time. I have sent multiple emails with photos attached to no avail. In addition, they have even entered my home as late as 9pm and 10pm. I find this extremely inconsiderate being that I work 12 hour shifts and have to get up early in the morning. I understand they have a job to do but I reached out to the manager for suitable solutions and have not gotten any responses. I am trying to remain calm and cordial but when individuals are consistently entering my home to run up my utility bill and move my belongings around without thinking to put them back, it gets infuriating. To top it off, we are in the middle of a pandemic and they come in without any masks on. They are putting my health at risk. Overall, this is unacceptable.

I apologize that you have not had a positive experience with our vendors. This is a very busy time of year as we prepare for hundreds of students to arrive in August, but we do strive to ensure that all staff and vendors respect the current residents and their items. I would love to discuss this further so that I can ensure it does not happen again! Please reach out to me at Elizabeth.Moss@colliercompanies.com, I'd love to assist you further. Staff views you only as a check. Complaints go unanswered. I literally have a health issue with this terrible roommate. And I have reported it twice. I have told her numerous times. And I’m still getting the same issue. No results. The complex is so perfectly fine with residents living in hostile environments so long as they keep paying. Plus the place was completely run down looking when I moved in and I personally had to replace and thoroughly clean everything upon arrival. They also have a mold issue. So to list: We are placed with hostile roommates. No hope for change I suppose. Mold. Terrible service. There are more issues that I’ve been hearing from plenty friends that also reside here as well. Just understand that it’s only so cheap because they suck this much.

Additionally, please feel free to reach out to me at our office, 352-373-9009, so we can discuss any other issues you are having with your apartment. Thank you! - Elizabeth Moss Community Manager
Last year when i had a lot going on and had to find an apt to stay at. I knew Lexington was going to be the apt i sign a lease with. The leasing specialist Brandon made me feel at home. He was so nice and on our tour he answered all our questions. He was so relatable. Their leasing manager Nettie is the BEST!!!! It doesn't get better then her. If i ever had an issue with anything she was their to help. Shes like a mother xoxo. She helped me last year when i had a cold and lost my voice. I couldn't ask for a better property manager. Artie is one hard working employee. He goes above and beyond about the residents. He will do his best to get your issue resolved right away. Kya the rental manager is so helpful and understanding. She really helps you find a solution to your problem. Sam is so nice. Hes helpful. he make sure your work orders get put in to be done.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! It sounds like the entire team has worked hard to make it fantastic and we love getting that feedback! Our team works to treat everyone like family and if there is anything that we can do for you, please let us know. Thank you!
I lived here for two years and never had any major issues. Maintenance is fairly quick to solve any apartment issues, management is really friendly and open for comments and concerns, and I think they had the best mail system of any place I lived in. It was awesome to have two pools, most of the time they were almost empty and I had it all for myself. You can't beat their price for everything you're getting, plus the major convenience of having three busses that pass by there.

They were very easy to communicate with during my time living there. The bus comes right by it. They were even very quick on the deposit return, which I was surprised about.
The Lexington management is very professional and maintenance staff is quick to respond to work orders. Very cheap rent with high-end refurbished apartments. I recommend signing a lease with Lexington if you’re looking for a great deal and don’t mind commuting 15min to campus.
I love the 24/7 GYM! Pool! STUDY ROOM! Printer that just needs copy paper to use! I love how helpful the leasing office is, and the office is so welcoming. It’s just maintenance takes a bit time but otherwise it’s fine.
Maintenance takes a little bit but other than that it’s pretty awesome and the people at the front desk is super nice and helpful
This apartment complex is the best!! This is the best choice!
I am thoroughly impressed by the service I receive from the Lexington Crossings staff. This will be my third year living at LC and maintenance is really on top of things. There was a week during move in where I had to send in many requests in regards to issues in my apartment and the head of maintenance (Charles) took the time to make sure all the issues where taken cared of and that I was content with the repairs! The front office is also staffed with amiable employees that are patient enough to answer any questions or issues I have and usually resolve my problems in a timely manner. If you have any issues or questions that require front desk personnel I suggest asking for Lenz, he has been a great help and always seeks to deliver quality service.
Sick pad, already renewed to live here for another year. Decently close to campus with busses coming frequently. Comes with all the necessary amenities. This place is the bees knees.
I have lived in Lexington Crossing for 3 years now and I have always been helped in a timely manner. The people in the office are always nice and are very easy to work with if you ever have issues. An added bonus, it is super easy to make rent payments as well with the resident portal app.
Lenz was so helpful in finding us an apartment! He really took the time to inform us fully & make sure our browsing experience was comfortable.
Great staff makes it very welcoming. Lenz in particular gave me excellent customer service and answered any questions I had and made me feel like I can count on him if I have any problems. The apartments are beautiful as well.
Lexington Cruising is a great place to live! The staff here is very friendly and really makes you feel at home. I recommend LC to anyone moving into the area or looking to move.
This is my third year living at LC and I love it here! It's a safe, quiet community and the office staff is wonderful. They are friendly, positive, professional, and always very responsive and willing to address any issues or inquiries I have had over the years. I've lived at other apartments before so trust me when I say the LC team really do care about their residents; I'm thankful for them and the positive experience they've given me living here. As for the room itself, it definitely has everything I need and the quality is worth it considering the relatively low rent. The furniture is stylish, the washing machine is brand new, wifi works great, and as a student I LOVE the huge multi-shelved desk that comes with the room. When my roommates and I first moved in we did our own bit of cleaning because we're clean-freaks but nothing was so bad that it couldn't be solved with a vacuum and clorox wipe. :D
The staff in the main office was very helpful. They made my more in process very fast and efficient. They truly make their residence feel comfortable so you are never afraid of asking questions or getting work orders requested if you need one.
Lexington is a well rounded place to live at. If you're looking for a place with good amenities (gym, pool, game room...), as well as a place not to far from the university or other common areas, than this is a solid place to be at. The rooms are decent, worth the price you pay, and the front staff are nice down to earth people. Events are hosted every month so there is always something to do. Overall I believe it's a pretty good choice, and wouldn't mind recommending it as a place to look into. Happy hunting!
Fantastic front office staff. Lenz in particular is always helpful and really epitomizes everything you could want out of a leasing associate. I've Lived here since 2016 and I can say confidently it's the best community in Gainesville for the overall value. Absolute steal. The special people like lenz in the front office make it truly special. Charles in maintenance has also been a great help over the years.
I moved in fall 2018. The upgraded suit I paid extra for came dirty. There were crumbs in the couches. We demanded that carpet cleaners come to clean the suite. In the first week, we already found 3 big roaches. We moved on August 17th and it is now September 7th and maintenance has not come to fix the multitude of broken items in our so-called upgraded suite. The fridge door handle came broken. There are missing blinds. Multiple doors won't close properly. My shower rod is broken. My roommate has a broken closet mirror that cannot open properly. My roommates and I are losing packages that say delivered. This apartment complex stress on top of schoolwork is making it the worse school year ever and we are only in September.
I have lived here in Lexington Crossing for about five months now and I have loved it! I love the layout of my 4/4 and it's always nice when you can get your own bathroom. It's relatively cheep when compared to the other apartments in Gainesville and it is a little further away but we have access to two really good buses that come very frequently. The new head maintenance may Charles is so nice and really accommodating and is helping us fix our apartment up with better appliances. The rooms are a little small, but they come completely furnished which is such a help. One of the only downsides is it is not a pet friendly complex, which is pretty sad.

Lauren, We are so glad you chose Lexington Crossing as your home. You are a valued resident here and we hope you have a wonderful afternoon. If you have any other questions or concerns about your apartment, please call or stop by our office! We look forward to seeing you at our next resident event!
LC has a great pool, clubhouse, and recreation area. Signing again was a must. The breakfast and holiday events are very nice as well. Plenty of parking spaces. The maintenance is always available, but we seldom have problems. I would definitely recommend LC to my friends. This place was a great choice for someone who likes being close to campus and having easy, frequent public transportation.

Rachael, Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear you are enjoying your apartment and our community. If there is anything we can do to help give you a five-star experience, please let us know in the office! See you on Friday!
I stayed here before attending UF and turns out what goes around, come around. I have really enjoyed my decision to live at Lexington Crossing thus far and I don't see as to why my opinion would change. The bus system is great and buses run by here over the weekend which is very convenient. The office staff is always friendly and willing to help out and they even serve the residents breakfast every Friday! Highly recommend.

Thank you for being part of our Lexington Crossing community, Juan! We are so glad you are enjoying your apartment. Please do not hesitate to stop by the office if you have any questions or concerns.
I've lived her for the past semester. It has been a really good experience. The rooms are really large plus you get your own bathroom which is nice. The staff is always helpful and the price is extremely reasonable especially for the size of the rooms. It is located a little bit far from campus but buses comes every 10 minutes or so throughout the week (the 9, 35, 34, and later gator B). Def. recommend living here if you don't mind a 15 minute bus ride and are looking for something relatively inexpensive.

Daniela, We are so glad you are enjoying your apartment here at Lexington Crossing. We are happy to hear your recommendation as well. If you have any questions for us about your apartment or renewing, please call or stop by our office!
I'm copying and pasting this review everywhere I can find to hopefully save someone from this terrible place. If you are a person who needs sleep to do well in school or even just to function, avoid this apartment complex. I have had to call the police for people being so loud that even with pillows over my ears I couldn't even hear myself think. You may think, well it is a student complex and I'm sure this is on weekend nights. Wrong. This happens in the middle of the week, even during FINALS WEEK, from 10 pm - 7 am. Even when you call the police after waiting forever for it to clear on it's own, they come right back out five minutes later. It's awful. Sketchy people literally partying on the streets, music being pumped out of cars at full volume. They literally will party right outside your window. ALL. THE. TIME. They party in apartments, the street, and literally in the cars. I'm posting this so that maybe there is a student who needs sleep to function who may see this and choose somewhere else. Also, the apartments aren't great so there isn't anything redeeming there.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry you did not have a positive experience here. We would like to possibly rectify any problems you've experienced and improve your stay at Lexington Crossing. Please call or stop by the office to speak to a member of management. We look forward to talking with you soon.
I believe people fail to write a good review for apartments because they neglect to tell about all those wonderful moments and instead base their experience one a moment they didn't seem to get their way...WELL HERE THAT WILL NEVER BE THE CASE, the staff is absolutely awesome and are willing to help you no matter the circumstance so you should never have crazy conflicts that can't be solved. This is a very large complex (family) and it may take a little longer to get things down but they will in a orderly fashion so just be patient! It is right up the street from UF and if you get on I-75 you will be at SF in a matter of 9 minutes....It is also in a very nice area in which it is surrounded by buses, outlets/malls, restaurants, postal services, ETC. Being a college student you need to have your finances in order and these apartments are extremely nice and affordable I would definitely recommend it to anyone! They also give residents many social events so if you are tired of being home go to the pool, get a tan, go to the study halls, or even the gym because LEXINGTON IS THE PLACE TO BE!
Lexington Crossing is a good place to live for students at UF and Santa Fe. The rooms are spacious and the rent is very reasonable compared to other options in town. The fact that you get a bathroom to yourself is probably my favorite part. The only complaint I can have is the color that they've made the buildings now are pretty hideous.
Best price-to-quality ratio for higher education students in the Gainesville area. All amenities are included along with a fully furnished living room which includes a wall-mounted TV. High-speed internet, cable, washing machine/dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen are all included as well. The living space is relatively small but this can be a positive aspect as it gives the apartment a cozy feel. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the facilities in the apartment complex are well-maintained.
