It is home to the landmark Moses Brown House, a historic home built around 1785. Eldersburg's shopping district is located near the intersection of Liberty Road and Sykesville Road. Eldersburg is set in a beautiful location, filled with fantastic parks. On the east side of town, the Liberty Reservoir is a popular boating and fishing destination. Along the south end of Eldersburg, Patapsco Valley State Park-McKeldin Area provides multi-use trails, picnic areas, playgrounds, and a disc golf course. This park is popular for fishing, mountain biking, and hiking. Located in Eldersburg, Piney Run Park has a large lake where fishing competitions are frequently held.
