Property Ratings at Liberty Square
Current resident as of mid-2024 - Close by to Acme, Fine Wine, many local restaurants, 15 minutes to downtown and 95. The area unfortunately is not dog friendly at all as there is barely any green patches for your dog to relieve themselves. Nearby dog parks are all 10-15 minutes away. Maintenance is decent, my requests are typically addressed with 1-2 days. The management is a mess. Full of empty promises and negligence. Paying your rent can be confusing because they charge rent and parking fee on separate balances and they never consistently charge the same amount consistently or even at the same time of month - management gets around this by saying just pay the same fee every month regardless of what the balance says. Building uses key fobs instead of door codes and you're only given one for security purposes. Which I agree is more secure but that didn't stop packages from going missing (which I will address later). However, this means you need to rely on the fob to get into the lobby, then you need it again to get on the elevator, and then you need it again to get into your unit. Which can be annoying if you are carrying your groceries/packages or walking your dog. The fob also isn't the most responsive at times. Furthermore, if you ever lose your fob or forget it at home, you're in for a bad time. They also charge a fee to replace this fob. Thankfully I have yet to need to do this. Before moving in, I had identified several defects in the apartment, I was promised that they would be addressed before I moved in, but I had to put in a maintenance request after moving in to get any of them addressed. Others defects such as stains, chips have still yet to be addressed. I moved in during the middle of a month so my first month's rent was prorated, yet when the leasing manager gave me the number, they couldn't give me an accurate breakdown of how they got to the number. Management also promised that they will be setting up a new gym facility soon. It has been months and I have yet to see any updates. We also have an issues with packages being stolen, so we have to get all our packages from the mailroom in the main building. The same company owns the new apartment complex across the street so they are likely dedicating their efforts towards finishing the construction on that one and neglecting this one.
Horrible experiences with the property managers. All they care about is getting your money and it’s not cheap. Look elsewhere.
I love this apartment complex! It looks stunning and brand new and so airy and spacious. Coming from where I am now I can't wait to be able to go on the balcony and drink my coffee with that view!!
love it here! management is very responsive and maintenance comes within a day. no issues so far

If you think of anything that we could do to make your time here even more pleasant, please don't hesitate to reach out directly!
Not sure what the other reviews are referring to about the management because it is nothing but spectacular. Aside from that the building and apartments are beautiful and well kept. Worth every penny

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We always strive to make sure we do everything we can to make our residents happy. If there is anything we can help with please reach out to us.
The Staff goes above and beyond to help out anyway possible, the units are in great condition and the building is well kept. Highly recommend.
Palladium is the new re-brand of Blackstone Development. Legally questionable and poorly managed. I wish that I could take my year back from renting here. They had no respect for my maintenance problems, privacy or concerns. The complex looks nothing like it does in renderings even after years of construction. There's actually a German Sausage factory right in the middle of the alleged courtyard that's being built and the owner of it isn't selling. It appears they won't be done construction anytime soon either. It's a giant muddy construction sight. The units would be nice if they were constructed properly, so it's a shame. But we've had multiple roof leaks, paint everywhere,it was filthy upon move-in (we were the first people to live there too so there's no excuse) and electrical problems. These problems took weeks to have leaks/issues fixed. Maintenance worker were in and out of our unit without a heads-up beforehand. We had workers walk in on me while in the shower and while my wife was changing. Just blatant disrespect of our renter's rights. There might've been one tenant in the whole building that stayed longer than one year here. Loud, never-ending construction is everywhere. WAY overpriced for what it is now. Also, it's not in NoLibs, this building is in Kensington. What confuses me most is that a lot of positive reviews were posted on this and other sights before move-ins were even happening. So how can this be? This leads me to believe that they aren't real, and after a year dealing with this company, it wouldn't surprise me.

Sean, we are sorry that your experience at Liberty Square hasn't measured up to your expectations. Furthermore, we are quite troubled by your reports of construction or maintenance staff entering your home without notice, and we invite you to report those issues to us in more detail, if you would like. Nevertheless, we strongly disagree with your description of our staff as "unprofessional". We understand that maintenance issues can be frustrating, but we assure you that our staff works hard to resolve any problems quickly, and create a comfortable environment for our tenants to call home. We still appreciate your feedback though, and are certainly open to hearing any other thoughts you have if you would like to give us a call or drop by the office. If not, we wish you all the best in your search for a new home.
Moved to the area over the summer and I have been so happy with my decision. After seeing other buildings in the area, I finally found liberty Square and knew right away it was where I wanted to be. Brand new building, with nicer features than I had seen during my apartment hunt. Easy walk to the restaurants and bars on 2nd, and just a few blocks to the dog park. My friends have been insanely jealous since I have moved in!
My girlfriend and I live in Liberty Square and it is a great place to call "home". The entire staff always greets you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise. When I moved in in June I was fully aware that I was moving into a building that new construction was just finishing up- that being said we are the first tenants to live in this unit and everything is brand new. The area is perfect for us. It is close enough for me to get to work in center city and still allows us to feel like we live in a residential area. The northern liberties area has a very laid back vibe with great restaurants and bars all in walking distance from our apartment. Overall we love our apartment and the area.
I love my unit, but all interaction I have had with management has been awful. They are very rude and often do not get back to me about things. I was told when I moved in in June that construction of the lobby (including coffee bar and security) would be done in July. It is end of Sept, still nothing. When I try and ask them, I get no response. I've had very bad management in the past and was hoping this would be different as it is a new building and I pay a lot to live here. I was wrong.

We're so sorry to hear of your disappointment with your experience here thus far. We want nothing more than to ensure that your stay here is comfortable and satisfactory. Our team values the importance of clear and open communication with our residents, and it saddens us that these values have not been better reflected in your stay. We look forward to the opportunity to make your time here more enjoyable, and hope you'll stop by the office soon. We'd love to chat with you about ways we can improve!
Blackstone Development produced a lease for signature the owners of the building refused to co-sign, after accepting our signatures and taking $5,500 from us. The most unprofessional and legally questionable experience I've ever had attempting to rent an apartment. I will forever avoid any property this company is representing. Beautiful building, infuriating rental process. Complete waste of time. Buyer beware.

Hello- We understand that you've been frustrated with your recent experience with our community. Unfortunately, the apartment you were interested in was being leased by a third-party realtor, and concessions were offered that were not approved by the owners of the property. Consequently, the owners had to refuse to sign off on the lease because these concessions had not been agreed upon prior to the lease being drawn up. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this caused for you, however our records do show that we were able to completely refund your money to you. If you have any further questions, you're welcome to contact the office anytime during normal business hours. Thank you
Super nice apartment (so much nicer than the Piazza)with big balconies. Really nice street with some row homes, so it feels like a real neighborhood. Rental company has been quick and organized. Recommend.
