The first thing you’ll notice about Jersey City’s waterfront is the scenery – from the Holland Tunnel to Liberty State Park, The Waterfront offers prime views of the Lower Manhattan skyline across the Hudson River. In recent years, The Waterfront has transformed into a trendy, affluent neighborhood. Popular among NYC commuters (thanks to the convenience of public transportation via road, rail, and ferry), The Waterfront has a robust corporate presence of its own, meaning that many residents are able to walk or bike to work.
The Powerhouse Arts District has attracted a vibrant community of creatives to The Waterfront, contributing to an eclectic vibe in the exclusive neighborhood; this unique blend of influences has resulted in a unique assortment of galleries, cafes, and bars on the south side of the neighborhood.

Property Ratings at Liberty Towers
Unacceptable service from day 1. Our unit was super dusty when we moved in - so much so that my socks turned grey immediately. Management flip flopped between saying they’d clean it and that they wont because it’s been cleaned twice allegedly. Fast forward one year later we came back from a 10 day vacation and our apartment was flooding hardcore. We talk to our neighbors and the 2 upper units above us reported the issue few days ago but management contracts the cheapest plumber out there who simply pushes the issue downward vs actually fixing it, causing all units in the same line to eventually flood. Historically management hasn’t offered anyone compensation for their maintenance negligence which is truly shocking when we’re paying for a luxury building.

The parking lot Liberty Towers currently faced right across the street is gonna be a new construction site for high rise buildings, the construction is already approved by JC, the quality of living at LT can’t be worse given how close it is to the construction site, in fact, you’d feel you live on a construction site

Title says it best. Finishes are cheap and break often, elevators never work, management is unprofessional, kids and pets out of control.
Amazing view the elevator doesn’t work all the time all the neighbors complain about they pay a lot in electricity, the shopping cars in the lobby are all destroyed and never haven’t no recommend to live here at all the management are so rude!!!

It is our goal to provide an experinece residents love. We're disappointed to hear that we weren't able to do so for you. Please contact our office so we can make sure we answer all of your questions and can collaborate to resolve each of your concerns.
I want to mention that the reviews are weirdly good. All the resident are curious about it ,lol. 1) NO hot water - few times a week in winter. 2) SMELLin the hallway. I can smell it even I put mask on during COVID situation. 3) Elevators have stopped working multiple times. A week after moving in, I was stuck in the elevator over 10 minutes. There were more people trapped in the elevator since then. 4) Concierge issue- In the luxury building, the concierge can give a key for my guests like a dog walker, nanny, cleaning people or my friends when we put their info in the portal then my guest can enter the house. So I entered my dog walker's information. But Dog Walker called me and said that he couldn't get the key. so I asked the concierge, concierge staff literally said "We don't check the portal so copy the key from the leasing office($15) and give it to your guest. checking portal then give the key is their job! Then there is my question "Why did you guys put this service on the portal that you guys not going to offer?" They take so much time to find one package. there is long line to get package. fyi, I had to wait over 20mins for my package. to be honestly, this is the management's fault. It doesn't make sense that two staff to work in a two-tower building. one in front desk and one in the back for organizing package. The building I lived in before also had two towers. they had four people worked in the concierge. concierge staff are kind. But I can't say that they're doing a good job efficiently. 5) There's a lot of fly in the tub. "I don't clean often?" NOPE!! my cleaning lady cleans the bathtub once a week. 6) My house is ICY-COLD in winter. Maybe because the building was built so long ago and the windows are too thin?. If you turn on the heater, the house becomes completely dry. but I had to turn on. I kept it on and the monthly electricity bill was over $500. my home is one bed room unit. 7) Management does not care about resident's complaints at all. they Ignore it. I HATE that the way how they talk and their tone of voice is rude. 8) When it rains, floor needs carpet in the lobby and rolled up when it stops raining in other luxury building. as you can see in the picture, they just keep it on with duck tape which is ugly.

If you would like to discuss the rest of your feedback, please reach out to us. We would be more than willing to discuss your concerns to see what we can do for current residents.
1. Frequent breakdowns and unplanned maintenance for elevator, water leaks and trash schutes not working. 2. Non responsive management team with high turnover, overly aggressive and non responsive 3. Unplanned upcharges that go over and above wgat was in the lease 4. Amenities are often out of service and order after charging 90$ a month 5. Lack of hot water for days at stretch 6. Smelly hallways that need cleaning 7. Frequent fire drills that are caused due to faulty smoke alarms

While I always wish to find our residents are having a well-rounded experience, I appreciate that you took the time to voice your concerns here. Please know that I, along with the rest of our team, am genuinely disappointed that we weren't able to address these issues for you. Will you come into our office to go over each of these points you've mentioned? We'd like to be more proactive moving forward and assist you as best we can.
Management does not care about the quality of life for current residents and is only interested in maintaining the market value of their billion dollar property to take advantage of rent surges. They're essentially kicking everyone out this year with massive rent increases, and since they know that they're taking the opportunity to make life here hell by loudly fixing everything about the exterior to keep up appearances. Meanwhile hot water goes out without warning, elevators have stopped working multiple times due to all sorts of issues, and the trash chute wasn't fixed for nearly *six months* If you have the kind of money to afford a "luxury" apartment tower like the new residents coming in will have to, we recommend that you look elsewhere because this isn't it. Concierge service is good. Shout out to the people on the ground floor who run the day to day.

The good: The building location can't be beat. 5 blocks to Exchange Place Path station, 1 block to the ferry. Amazing views (even if you're facing west) and great sunsets. There is a pretty well-trafficked Whatsapp chat where neighbors trade things and seek help and answers to questions from the building residents. This is a huge plus to me and makes me feel that I can get help whenever I need. The residents are all pretty nice and help each other out. The concierges are all amazing. The bad: building management. They simply don't care. Notifications of broken amenities are largely ignored because "they don't have enough complaints to take action". We pay an amenity fee for a freezing cold pool, fireplaces in both the party room and amenities area has not worked for the last year. Things like air hockey pucks and cue sticks and pool balls were suddenly relocated to concierge with no notification for any posted signs, causing many to think (rightly so) that they were simply missing. Media room is great...but doesn't work as far as I know. The TV in the amenities area also has never worked. Management charges $50 for an extra useless keyfob for anyone not in the lease. My college aged daughter paid $50 for an extra fob that only works on elevators and front door after hours. The fob doesn't let her onto amenities floor. Similarly, pool ID cards are also only for leaseholders and not anyone else, so each time she wants to use the pool or gym we have to sign her in as a guest (she's only home in the summer so she's pretty much the only person in the whole household who uses the pool). The golf simulator has been broken more than it has worked. The above sounds like a litany of complaints but it boils down to management incompetence. The communication from the management team has been abysmal. Repairs for boilers, elevators, apartments are only communicated once someone complains. There is simply no interest or initiative taken to inform residents of pending inconveniences. Loud drilling, planned elevator maintenance, cold water....all done without any notice. Not to mention exorbitant heating bills. It costs more to keep my apt at 68 degrees and wear a sweater than it did to heat my previous 2800 sq ft house. TBH this varies depending on which direction your apt faces. Constant complaints about heating units go unresolved.

We appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback. While our team strives to give residents unbeatable service in a prompt manner, we see that we've missed the mark with you after hearing about these unresolved maintenance issues. Whenever it's best for you, we'd appreciate a moment of your time to talk about these matters in person. Please stop by our office.
New Management isn't great. They are slow to respond to issues and seem to be ruthless about raising rents. For the fact that this is supposed to be a luxury building, it's almost like having a slumlord. Many of us in the building have been trying to get things fixed for months on end to no avail. Garbage chutes that take months to fix, no hot water on and off for weeks, elevators constantly out of service. Just a headache all around, honestly. And as someone else mentioned, constant construction that makes it impossible to work from home. The only reason why I am giving 2 stars is because I believe the concierge here is staffed by some of the kindest people I have ever met. They truly make a difference.

We appreciate your feedback. We deeply apologize for the frustration these maintenance issues have caused you and want to make sure that this doesn't happen again. To ensure that your apartment home is in the most comfortable conditions possible, we'd like to discuss this matter in better detail and get your concerns taken care of. When you have a chance, please stop by our office.
The electricity bills robbed me! We used to have 500-600$ electricity bills for a 1bedroon apartment in winter. Tried to fight for 2 years but nothing changed apart from the rent. The windows have major sealing issues, which is why the house was always freezing cold. No real fixes were made. The garbage chute was not working for months. We used to leave it in the room, making that part of the corridor smell ridiculous. Not worth the view. For the amount of rent they charge, the quality does not match up.

We moved here from Manhattan for more space. Due to the never ending construction, I cannot work in my apartment nor do I want to be in my apartment that we are paying thousands a month to live in. I dont see how the pool or outside community will be open if this construction continues. Mgmt does not care. Please find another place to live for your sanity. At the very least, have a clause added to your lease about construction and giving you the ability to break it.
I've lived in this building twice now. Beautiful views, steps away from the ferry and PATH trains, great/pretty neighborhood, and awesome waterfront boardwalk. The new management took over in the Fall of 2019, and they have been great. The interior of my apartment is a little dated (I was one of the first tenants when this building opened). I don't like the extra/annual amenities fee; however, the amenities are great. The new leasing office team is responsive, professional, and awesome. HUGE improvement from the original team. The building staff is great! I love this place so much. It's home.
Liberty Towers: luxury apartments with poor/unprepared management.
Fantastic apartment in a very safe and family friendly area.
I have nothing good to say until trash issues are corrected. This has been a constant source of irritation in an otherwise great apartment and building.
The supportive staff at LT is fantastic.
Great place to live, good amenities and vicinity to shops & transport
Great atmosphere and friendly staff who are ready to help you with anything you may need.
Staff at front desk outstanding
1. Not all the elevators work during peak time, just one works. 2. Heaters and ACs suck here. They say these are new units, but they make tremendous amount of noise that sleep is disturbed, you can't watch TV properly. It's absolutely horrible. 3. The trash chutes are not maintained well. 4. Pretty pricey for all issues and average quality.
Wouldn't recommend it. Crappy trash chutes. Never fixed correctly. Only one elevator (out of 4) works during peak hours. It takes anywhere between 5 to 10 mins to get downstairs.
So far, everyone from your staff( AC, Tom, Alexa from leasing dept and Miguel, and Johnathan from maintenance) has been very pleasant, responsible, polite and quick to respond.
I love living at Liberty Towers. I have been living here for almost 7 years. All of the Staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. The proximity to the NYC is fabulous. The amenities are great and it is a great bargain for what you pay; especially compared to other buildings in the vicinity.
Great place to live! Friendly, responsive staff and nice neighbors. Plus, it's a great location with beautiful views.
Liberty towers is an awesome building with amazing amenities, friendly concierge and leasing office, and spacious apartments.
Liberty Towers has the right price for you. Outstanding management and staff. Its location is to die for.
Clean, safe environment.Very near to public transport.Nice people working in the management, concierge and maintenance.
We have been living at Liberty Towers for over 3 years and absolutely love it. The commute to Manhattan makes it perfect. There is easy access to tons of stores and restaurants nearby. The gym is close to a full-fledged gym and is one of the best that I have seen in an apartment building. The staff are extremely polite and receptive to your needs. Maintenance requests are generally taken care of within 24 hours. Even though I don't own any pets, I like that a lot of attention is given to pets in this building with monthly pet highlights.
Really nice, clean apartment with amazing views and amenities. I would recommend this apartment to any of my friends. Just wish the PATH took the unlimited metro card for the subway and ran later.
