Property Ratings at Lighthouse Apartments
They will nickel and dime you for everything although the apartment wasn't in prime condition to begin with. The appliances are old and cheap and the bathtubs and sinks are old and hard to clean. You will be required to pay for them to take care of their old stuff. The first red flag was that the majority of the issues found in the initial walk through we never fixed. The second red flag was how hard they tried to not let us in although our income far exceeded the minimum. The third red flag was that they tried to blame us on day one for an overflowing toilet when the toilets were terrible and didn't flush at the initial inspection BEFORE we moved in. Lastly, the head maintenance guy is rude and tried to question my husband like a Karen for taking out trash in his truck. It's quiet, cheap and people mind their own business but do yourself a favor and take pictures- super important. You truly do get what you pay for.

Well let’s see, where do I begin? I guess my favorite part was when the neighbors commode overflowed (and gave us 1/4in of sewer water in the dining room & kitchen) and the apartment complex telling us it was potable water & then after the wonderful health inspector coming when I called and letting us know the maintenance man and manager lied to us about what kind of water it was. The baseboard behind the door of the bathroom looked like an animal has pissed on it more than once, didn’t notice till after walk through. Then the awesome neighbor across the hall yelling at us about the park we parked in was “his”, parking was 1st come 1st serve type thing. Then I was told I couldn’t park next to the storage sheds under the roof because those cost extra, I would just park real close on the outside, so I didn’t have to scrape frost, was then told I couldn’t park there because that is where they pile the snow. They never once put any snow there. Maintenance person parks their truck in the handicap place at the office. Maintenance man knocked and immediately used his key and came in on my wife. (You can not lock them out, they come in on you unannounced). No insulation, exterior walls are as cold/hot as it is outside. Was told we would get our deposit back only to learn we owed another months rent (which we did per the contract, but still should not been told we were getting it back). Carpet was long past time to be replaced. You couldn’t just lock the door, you had to pull it really hard to make it lock, they never fixed it in 6 months. I was told that I had to leave the utilities in our name until the next tenant moved in, I cancelled them when our last agreed upon date came. Upon move out they let the carpet cleaners in and never went back and locked the door, the apartment sat there unlocked for over a week. Luckily nobody noticed. Outrageous fees if they find something dirty after you move out. I made the oven rings look like brand new & still had to replace them.
Close enough to the city but still quiet enough to be in the country. A 10 min Ride away will get you to the major city. Look outside across the street and there is a farm . We call Lighthouse home simply because its nice to be able to know if your children are outside to mingle, they are safe because of the apartments being outside a nice cozy neighborhood. The inside of the apartments have 10ft high ceilings all apartments have a breakfast bar which is awesome and a diner area for a dinner table; All apartments come with patios as well. They even have some buildings that do allow pets and some don't for allergies and fear for the tenants. We have several officers who live here for safety purposes that give the comfort for safety. Although we don't have a pool and a very small area for children to play, they are nice enough to allow to raise a family here for a while or to live on your own. They have a lot of rules, however they aren't as bad as it initially seems. I recommend it and would move back here again...
