Property Ratings at Lindenwood Apartments
I can't say that I'm actually pleased in a year of being a tenant at Woodward my perspective living here has changed drastically. I've been having a major issue with a utility bill here and it still hasn't been reconciled. Along with other issues currently this one has been the most stressful. I have contacted residents accounts and the experience is absolutely excruciatingly. The representative in residents accounts is unprofessional and rude. She doesnt have a direct answer or it seems she doesn't want to be bothered. I've had my calls forwarded to voicemails or when she doesnt know the answer she will transfer your call to the property manager. I've been back and forth between residents accounts and the utility company and still the issue remains the same. No one takes accountability or ownership to make sure the situation is being handled and trying to get answers are like pulling teeth. I'm actually disgusted with the recent changes, I used to love it here. I appreciate my neighbors and the community that is here and I'm certainly not the only one experiencing several issue multiple residents who live here feel exactly the same. The lack of knowledge, customer service, and assistance is absolutely frightening. I feel bad for the senior residents whom reside here the elevators are always down prices are constantly increasing. The maintenance team used to be good here but like everything else it's changed. Gary, and Kevin were the best tech's this building has seen but we hardly see them anymore. I used to be happy about seeing exactly what Woodward would have done to improve living here but honestly I'm not impressed. The washers never work and we have to self service the request to get them fixed, it's rodents and bugs everywhere. McKee had cleaners 5 days a week and the trash was removed 3 times a week. I think I could honestly say everyone is frustrated with the turn for the worst that things have recently taken. I feel sorry that I have even recommended other tenants to move here if I knew the outcome was going to be so drastic they may have been better off where they were previously. I've never seen a company so animated where they forgot that they are a servicing industry and the residents are the customers. I understand somethings are beyond your control. Honestly the overall upkeep and Management of the property and residents safety as well as the living conditions can improve instantaneously.

My husband and I have been here for 5 years. The new property management group, Woodward, is an improvement from the last group, McKee. However, we now have to pay ALL utilities which have increased substantially. The rent has also increased yet the apartments have not been updated to justify the price. We still have a leaky fridge, leaky dishwasher, outdated stove, and outdated cabinetry. It's unfortunate that many of us are priced out of the housing market, so we have no choice but to rent. And it seems that landlords are taking advantage of this.

I asked one of the ladies about roaches and mice, and her response was, “well, stay where you currently live and don't move here because roaches are everywhere these days.” I found her comment rude and unacceptable to a prospective tenant.
We looked at a two bedroom apartment this week in the main building. It was very spacious, and Ms Verna was very helpful. We just put our application in, so we are hoping everything goes well. The walls in the main building are sound proof, they have elevators, and the balconies are huge. Very clean kept!!
I went to tour the apartment today. No 2 bedrooms were available in the main building ( which is where all the updated apartments are). The unit we saw was 501 in the North building. The space in the apartment was ample and nicely done. There was plenty of closet space, a storage, new carpet, and fresh paint. The kitchen was TOTALLY outdated. We were told that the resident that occupied the apartment had been there 20 yrs. it’s shows. The bathrooms need an overhaul. The one bathroom was just ok and the other one ( in the master) was a disaster. Old shower doors, no tub, black moldy looking caulking.just dreadful. They do not supply veritical blinds for the balcony or the windows. The window in the master was cracked. Basically, if you are looking at the picture on apartment.com they are inaccurate. The lady that showed us the apartment advised that they do not have a kitchen that looks like what is shown. This is also a 85% a 55 and older community and 15% they can rent to residents 18 and up. The space is great but the kitchen and bathroom needs some love. The lady was super nice ( sorry I forgot her name) If it wasn’t for the outdated kitchen and bathrooms I would have rented from them. Great area! I give it two stars because of the misleading pictures, outdated kitchen and disgusting bathroom.
Like someone said below. I called several times in order to ask if it’s possible for them to stay open later since I work full time. I don’t understand how places like these expect renters to make a decent salary in order to afford an apartment, but do not stay open long enough to allow people like that to view the place. They are inconsiderate and their employees are packed with attitude.
Good luck trying to view them if you have a 9am to 5pm Job!! I don’t work weekends so I tried to scheldule a Saturday viewing and the very sarcastic female that answered the phone wasn’t very helpful either... who doesn’t have Saturday appointments? So my schedule prevents me from viewing them.. and the young lady that answers the phone can use some customer service training... Good luck
My apartment building is quiet and located in a serene suburban community with close proximity to major shopping centers. There's a bus stop across the street, a grocery store and cleaners down the street and a public park adjacent to the building. The public areas are well maintained, there are elevators, a tenant parking lot and laundry facility on each floor. Apartments have large rooms, central heating and air conditioning as well as a spacious balcony. The staff is helpful, accommodating, receptive to suggestions and readily available. Additionally, the cosmopolitan tenant population lives together harmoniously. I hit the jackpot!
