Separated from Eugene and the University of Oregon by the Willamette River and I-5, Springfield is a terrific city with wooded neighborhoods, mountain views, amazing outdoor adventures -- and yes, it is that Springfield. Matt Groening is an Oregon native, after all, and he based his fictional town of "Springfield" in the animated Simpsons series after Springfield, Oregon. The city even offers an unofficial Simpsons tour of Springfield, and some of the similarities are uncanny. For example, there really is a stylized horse statue at the entrance to the city, and Max's Tavern is claimed to have inspired the show's Moe's Tavern -- it is eerily similar. Max's opened in 1932, and it is rumored that Groening spent his college years in the tavern, sketching.
And while you won't be able to head out of your Springfield apartment to enjoy a Duff's beer, you will find a Moe's Tavern, and the city is known for its craft beer. It is also known for its outdoor adventures.

Property Ratings at Lindsay Apartments
Said it was remodeled holes in carpet counters were tore up paint stains all over carpet smelled like someone smoked there whole life away in the apartment and when you move out they hold your deposit for a month after the day you move out and send it in mail the vary last day of that month don’t recommend anyone to these apartments
I called Lindsay apartments and spoke to the manager about coming down and picking up an application, while doing so I was able to view the apartment. I was able to view a unit that was not quite ready, it was very dirty, the counters were scratched up, the cabinets looked horrible but I was willing to look past that because it wasn't quite ready, it was in my budget, had what I was looking for and was told that it was month to month. I filled out an application, turned in all the necessary papers and my screening fee. I did this on a Friday and on Monday I called Dave to check to see if my application had been picked up, he was pretty rude and had told me that when I picked up the application that he doesn't have anything to do with the applications(which I must of missed) and that he receives 30-40 calls a day so getting a call like this is pretty irritating. I get the email Monday afternoon from them asking for my permission to to the background check, I fill it out and submit it immediately as I am in a time crunch trying to find a place. The site they use says it quick and easy, and it allows you to check on the application process which is nice. I checked Tuesday, nothing just said pending landlords decision. By Thursday it still said pending, I tried calling Dave to see how long the process normally takes, I have a great record and have had a steady job for the last 8 years so I am thinking it should be a pretty fast process. I get no answer, so at this point I'm thinking I better start looking for other options and then I got a letter in the mail saying they denied me. Honestly after this whole process I am so thankful they denied me because i'm sure living here would of been a nightmare. Also the office is a complete mess!
They have horrible customer service. I applied and they took my background fee money and never even did a background check on me and on top of that I never even heard back from them. You have to approve the background check in an email that I never even recieved. They sent me a letter 3 weeks later saying they rented the unit out and that's after several attemots of me trying to get in touch with Dave, the manager. Very unprofessional and they literally took my money and didn't do anything.
The owner does not care about these buildings. They do very little to keep up the image of this property. The one and only maintenance guy here does his best with the almost non existent resources he is given, bless his heart. The manager is a good guy too but it all comes down to a greedy owner who is cheap beyond even making these units habitable. We have had issues with the fact that the carpet on the stairs and everywhere else at one point was staple so poorly that the carpet is loose on the stairs. We have sliped and fallen on our bottoms with these stairs many times. There was also a wall socket literally hanging out of the wall when we first moved in, they fixed it but that seems like something they would intuitively done when they knew we were going to move in. They made zero effort to get it ready on time. The maintenance guy says the owner refuses to replace the carpets despite that they are falling apart at the seems and are not even stapled to the wood and padding properly! This makes it a very unsafe situation and they take advantage of the fact that most people here are low income and desperate. The only redeeming quality is the location and the fact that they have on suite washer/dryer hook ups. Other then that it is a slum and I advise you go elsewhere. Put your money towards something that will at least be safe and maintained enough to live in. I would not recommend living here.
Apartments are ok. Some of the old kids near the front of the complex not so much. Lots of noise and cussing from such kids. Manager does nothing unless it disturbs him, he cares nothing about the people the pay rent except that they do pay rent. We have been complaining about our next door apartment for 2 years, they love to play their extremely loud bass at all hours during the day. Sometimes you can even hear it at the managers office, yet nothing has changed or has the manager done anything. Would not recommend you live here if you enjoy peace and quiet.
As the head line says. It's in a great location. Rent is affordable, also quit. Have lived here for a couple months and can not complain of any noise. It is really quit for the most part. It is a family oriented property so there are a lot of kids.
