Stillwater is a charming community located in the north-central part of Oklahoma. It is the tenth largest city in the state, with over 46,000 residents. Stillwater is home to Oklahoma State University — one of the largest employers in the state and a center for higher education — imbuing the area with a college town energy. Stillwater is known as one of the top places to live because of its numerous cultural and entertainment activities. The town is only a short distance from Oklahoma’s two largest cities, Tulsa to the west and Oklahoma City to the south. Residents of Stillwater enjoy plentiful townhome communities, low-rise apartments, and single-family homes all just a short distance from Carl Blackwell Lake.

Property Ratings at The Links at Stillwater I/II
My upstairs neighbors are unbelievably noisy late into the night. I cannot get a good night’s sleep. The bathroom in my unit is disgusting. No matter how much I clean, the toilet smells. The shower head shoots out painful pinpricks of water. It is too painful to put my face under the stream of water. Every time I sweep the bathroom, I sweep up a lot of drywall dust. I have to believe there are better apartment complexes in Stillwater. I wish I had shopped around more.
First off let me say this the apartments are really nice and spacious, but the management is the worst. BEFORE I even moved into the apartment to pay my deposit and the firsts month of rent they screwed up on my down deposit. because My bank had flagged my account for fraud; I guess when they were running my card through for the deposit and rent it wouldn't go through on their in but instead of calling me to tell me about this happening they kept running it through till their machine basically kicked them off. (this is before i knew my account was shut off) so they called me in a very threatening tone telling me that I only have till the end of the day to pay the deposit and rent and would be charged an extra 175 and if I don't pay I would be denied. So of course I asked why?? it should go through they said they don't know so then I proceeded to ask them why you didn't call me? they told me becuase it's their "policy" to ring it up three times and if it doesn't go through the machine shuts them off and we have to pay by money order. I told them i am not in the Stillwater area right now I am in Tulsa is there a way to extend the deadline they told me no they could not so I had to leave off of work early to speed to Stillwater before their office closes at 6 to pay them on their own errors. after all of that misunderstanding, they tell me that I can no longer use the online system to pay rent I would now have to use money orders to pay every month I didn't want to but school was starting and I needed somewhere to stay so I proceed on. after I went down there to pay them they told me the time the apartment would be ready. It was the move-in day I was there around 11 am ready to move into my apartment I went up to get my keys and apartment information when I went into the office to pick up my keys to my apartment they are going to tell me that my apartment wasn't ready for move-in yet because they haven't cleaned it and don't know when the cleaning lady was coming to my parents rented a Uhaul with all my stuff and you're telling me my apartment is not ready because it was not cleaned. well, I had gotten really mad and heated to calm me down they went talked to their "manager" and he pulled "strings" (which he never came out of his office to talk to me directly) I was in Stillwater at 11 am I didn't get my apartment keys till 6 pm when they were closing. moral of them at all times because they will screw you over my lesson was learned
The management staff of The Links in Stillwater is a joke. If you wanted to find people who have absolutely no power over almost anything related to their business then The Links is the place for you. If you have any sort of issue or anything dont bother going to the front desk because they WILL NOT help in any way possible. They give you three days to pay rent before the first charge of 40 dollars. Not too bad just a fee but after 7 days they start the eviction process and shut off your portal. We had gone to them before the month and talked to them about the situation and that we wanted to pay the rent but the money wouldnt be there till about the 15th. They said there was absolutely nothing they could do and that it is what it is. We went back to them to ask again and see if there was anything we could do since we wanted to pay rent but just didnt have our money yet and they again told us no. When we told them we would have the money by the 10th and if there would be any additional cost they told us there would possibly be a charge of 150 dollars on top of the 40 from the beginning. We asked if they knew when the 150 dollar charge would occur to see if we could borrow the money from a relative or somewhere so we wouldnt have to pay back even more and they couldnt even tell us when the charge would occur and her exact words were "the charge just kinda happens so you just have to hope it hasnt gone through yet when you can come pay". I would understand if we had not made any contact with them and they start the eviction process but when we actively try and let them know and work with them and they still do not care and they do not try to do anything at all. The management staff has absolutely no power and is not willing to help for anything. Please dont live here. its not worth it.
The manager and office staff are very unpleasant. Save yourself the trouble and don’t move here.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. The apartment flooded twice in less than 5 months of living here. All they did was give us a fan and say hope it dries. When we moved in the apartment clearly had not been cleaned since the previous tenant moved out. The carpet was sticky, the air filter had globes of dust, the fans were covered in dust, the dryer wasn't connected because the coil had fallen apart, and it was just dirty in general. We had to spend an hour arguing with the manager in order to get anything fixed the way it should be. Some people were moving in upstairs and we asked them if their apartment looked like this too because we thought it was insane how disgusting it was, and they said yes, it looked dirty too they just didn't think much of it. My fiance's coworker moved in next door a week before we moved in and had the same problems only his apartment also smelled like smoke. He tried to get them to right the situation and they wouldn't, so he had to sue. So if you're thinking our's was a one-time situation, it wasn't. Towards the end of our first year lease we looked into getting a dog and called the front desk to ask about policy and all they said was it has to be 1 year old and no more than 40lbs. We committed to adopting a pit bull and went to fill out our paper work for the apartment and we were informed that pit bulls are prohibited and there's nothing we can do about it. Would have been nice to know BEFORE we adopted the dog. I'm not someone who thinks pit bulls should be discriminated against, so it wasn't on my mind to ask if they had a policy against them. Especially in a town where there are NO ordinances prohibiting pit bulls. Now we have to find somewhere else to live and we have absolutely no time to do it in. Do not waste your time looking at these apartments, you'll regret it if you move in.
These apartments are amazing! Everyone is so friendly and anytime I have an issue it's solved pretty fast! The pool, hot tube, and tanning beds are very clean, over all a great place to live.
The Links at Stillwater are just one of many apartment complexes to choose from in this town. I love living here, it's more than just a complex, it's a community. It's quiet. It has a mix of families, college students, graduate students, and professionals. The management team are all friendly and take care of their residents. I really enjoy living here at the Links.

The Links Apartments are great! We originally shied away from the higher price and spent a year in a sub-par living situation. It is a short drive to campus, and offers great amenities like tanning, a huge pool, billards, golf, and a hot tub! Being a little bit away from town is great for less noise too.
