Property Ratings at Waldorf Towers Apartments
Save yourself the trouble and rent somewhere else. Management is awful and unresponsive to calls and e-mails when it is inconvenient for them. There are cockroaches in the apartment and management made little effort to exterminate them. Beware you may not get your security deposit back as well. This place is old and gross. There are other apartments in Cleveland with better management and better prices. Don’t waste any time here.
What a horrible management of this building. The whole building is like a hot oven in June, 2022 summer. The AC doesn’t work and it’s hot like hell, the added bonus is the condescending remarks from the management. Do not even consider to rent an apartment here.
Warning!!! I am a current resident here, this apartment does not provide AC anymore!!! All residents here have been suffering the hot temperatures since beginning of May. The management’s excuse is that the AC system can not be repaired due to the supply chain issue. Yesterday, we were formally informed that they were not sure when the AC can be fixed, and there would be an uncertain waiting period!!! They wanted us to install Window AC units at our own expense! ——— If you really wanna move in this place, WAIT till the summer is over or till the AC is fixed for sure!! If the leasing office tells you that the AC will be fixed very soon, do not believe that, because that’s what they have been lying to us EVERY SINGLE WEEK! smh…
Waldorf is reasonably priced and is located in a convenient, safe location. In my years living here, the leasing manager Melissa has always provided genuine and high-quality service to me and the other tenants I have talked to. She is always courteous and pleasant when interacting with tenants and will go out of her way to get to know you and to help you with any issues that may arise. She as well as Chris from maintenance have been major reasons for my positive experience living at Waldorf!
Melissa and Caria are two of the best property managers you can ask for. They are fast to respond to any issues and very kind. I will be renewing my lease solely because they are so inviting. Combine that with Chris and the rest of the amazing maintenance crew and you have a wonderful place to live!
The list of problems with this place is a mile long. The problems I've had with my unit include the toilet not flushing, the sink taking hours to drain, bugs frequently, the A/C and heat not working, a giant leak in the pipes above my shower that maintenance originally ignored until it got so bad that they had to cut a big hole in my ceiling, and my apartment flooding from the sink. When I called "24/7 emergency maintenance" some woman answered the phone and told me she could only call the maintenance person once an hour and to just wait for the property manager who starts working at 9 am on Monday, even though this happened at 6 pm on a Saturday. There is free parking in a lot outside, but my car window did get smashed. There's also usually some construction in either this building or the buildings next to it and the walls are very thin. I live on the first floor and can hear every single word if people are talking in the lobby. Also don't expect anything to get fixed in a timely fashion. They came to board up my windows last week because they were going to do construction and they haven't been back to do anything since then so I haven't had any sunlight in my room for over a week. The people who work here are nice, but very bad at their jobs. Rent is cheap, most utilities are included, and it is close to Case Western and UH, but I would not recommend living here unless absolutely necessary. If you do live here, DO NOT LIVE ON THE FIRST FLOOR.
The people who left 5 star reviews must be the employees because I don't see how anyone would have a good experience living here. The apartment is incredibly old: the elevators are extremely slow and often out of order, the fire alarm goes off at least once a month, there is a distinct odor in the hallways, and the AC/heating unit ROARS. My unit constantly has issues with the plumbing: the sink faucets are always leaky and the toilet took at least 20 minutes to fill back up, and the kitchen sink loudly regurgitates all of the water and soap that had gone down the drain at 2am every morning. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear neighbors from two doors down yelling. The worst part: COCKROACHES. My unit is extremely clean and pest control came twice a year but there are constantly roaches (probably from other apartments and traveled through the pipes or vents). It's also very clear that the leasing office is disorganized. They charged me a late fee for my rent even though I paid my rent EARLY and they always close the mailroom before 5pm even though they claim the mail room hours are from 9-5 on weekdays. I hate it here and I should've listened to the other bad reviews I saw.
Nothing here ever works, and no one is ever available to help. Not safe at all, my friend was flashed IN THE LOBBY. Packages go missing regularly. Elevators, sink, ceiling, all have broken multiple times. Besides the extremely cheap rent, this place has been a nightmare. Cannot wait to move out.
The staff has consistently been courteous and helpful to me during the 2 years I’ve lived here. The building also has garage parking available, as well as a secured entrance, which can't be said for most of the apartments in this area. My apartment is quiet and clean, and maintenance has been very responsive with repairs. I feel at home here and would highly recommend!
I lived here for three years and highly recommend the building. The location, safety, nice setting, friendly residents, and community feel, all made this a great place to live. Jenny and Chris were great and Paul in particular was very helpful during my stay. The air conditioning, heat, and water/sewer are also included in the rent. If you move here, I hope you enjoy it too. This was a great place to live.

Thank you so much. We truly love each and everyone of our residents. We are really glad you enjoyed your time with us.
Pretty nice apartment. Staff is agreeable. Covered parking is available. Workout area- 1 treadmill and 1 bike, good enough for a quick workout. Maintenance does take a while to fix problems, even emergencies like water leaking from the ceiling. Free breakfast/ coffee on weekday mornings.
