As the hub of one of the largest cities in Arkansas, Downtown Springdale is experiencing a renaissance. The city began here in the 1850s, then called Shiloh. Today, the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History explores the history of the region. Downtown Springdale still functions as a transportation hub for the region and is part of the Arkansas Heritage Trails System.
