Live Oaks Apartments

I personally want to say that we have been here 10 years and we have never received such expediency in our requests, responses to emails or care to make us feel that we are now definitely among a professional group. I try not to be demanding in any way, or nit picky, so, when I do contact the office it is because of a problem not a whim. Sometimes, our emails etc were never answered and I would have to go to the office to get an answer. You have definitely made us feel at ease and I am happy that we signed another lease for next year because quite frankly we were "looking" elsewhere even though we have been here for such a long length of time.

I have lived with my daughter and grandchildren for quite a few years! Meeting the love of my life it was time to ‘move on’. My daughter helped me and we researched all possibilities and found that Live Oaks was the best match-close to my grandbabies and close to work! Jaye took me to see my now apartment- ha I was sold with my view! Move in day was March 1- everything was done for us before move in day-Our experience was EXCELLENT! Ahh the balcony view of the pool and the peace and quiet is absolutely wonderful! We love it at Live Oaks! We made a great choice! Thanks Jaye, you have made our transition-stress free!! YOU ROCK girl ??

I moved here last year after downsizing. From the beginning, I felt so welcome here! Tammy and Jaye in the office are so sweet and will do anything to help you. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. I love all the oak trees! If anything breaks, it gets fixed right away. The service guys are friendly and professional. They take the extra step to get it right. I love my third floor apartment with the high vaulted ceiling..makes it feel even larger. Also, having a washer & dryer is a plus! Everyone here is friendly too. I appreciate that it’s a gated complex too...I feel safer. And I am happy that I could bring my furry kitty since they accept pets. Snickers is happy here! Although I haven’t used many of the amenities they offer yet, the exercise room and pool are wonderful! This complex is one of the prettiest I’ve seen! I am very happy I chose Live Oaks. Love my new home!

I absolutely love living at Live Oaks. The atmosphere is peaceful and safe. They have been very helpful at all times assisting me with anything I may need and answering all questions that I may have. The staff (Jaye) has gone over and beyond to accommodate my request! You can't ask for better management. Don't think I will get this treatment living anywhere else!!!

They have had so many break-ins at the complex and vehicles stolen its ridiculous. Not one time has Tammy the rude manager notified anyone who lives at Live Oaks of this unsafe situation! Yes they have installed cameras however car break-ins are still occurring. When asked “why was I moving” I told her because the property was unsafe Tammy got highly offensive and disrespectful and hung up in my face. She refused to give me upper management contact info!

Dear Sir, My son attends LSU. and I must say I feel very assured with my son living there,its quiet,well groomed grounds,and very nice apartments. But most important,I feel good about his safety . Some time ago I went to the office to introduce myself to Ms Tammy the manager and she has been more than helpful to any an all problems .At this point I have nothing but praise for a job well done,I would definately recommend these apartments to anyone looking. My first review was very misguided and a lot of things were taken the wrong way, but Jaye was very professional in clearing everything up. These apartments are great and I would recommend them to anyone.

Staff has been very helpful, pool is wonderful, and is a safe complex.

I have lived at Live Oaks for about a year and a half. When I was preparing to move into town I absolutely fell in love with all of the trees and the beautiful pool even though there were no units to preview due to the flooding. Once I finally got into my apartment I was still happy with my choice. The bathrooms, closets and kitchen are spacious which is important for me because I have a lot of stuff. After moving in I have had numerous positive interactions with the office staff and all maintenance issues have been handled in a timely manner.

I pay good money to live here at Live Oaks and something needs to be done about Tammy. She doesn't have respect for anyone! I hate calling the office and she answers the phone. They need to watch her I’ve seen her take stuff. She used to live here and you would always see her coming out of apartments with stuff. I’ve seen the guys put fans in her truck and I know it’s her vehicle because she use to live here. She complained a lot and put the blame on others it’s never her. I've been living here for a few years and never want to deal with her. I usually call and hope that jay answers the phone. Tammy is so lazy! I never see her walk around I never see her even help! I hope something can be done soon about her. Maintenance (Steven) is great they do anything I need they didn't use to be like that but now it is. When I first moved in I had so many problems with my A/C but they finally got me a new one. The lawn people is horrible! They blow wherever and they not paying attention and my door mat is usually not in front of my door its just a mess! The grounds can look better trash is always around the pool area. The pool is usually clean but in July it was very green looking but it got better in August. Parking can be horrible at night! If you come in by 9 there isn't parking close to your apartment. But that Tammy is the worse thing they could have brought to Live Oaks the old manager Jackie was the bomb! I don’t know what happen to her but, they need her back because that Tammy is useless and very very rude! She is always yelling in the office she is so fake and everyone that lives here know it! But I do like that my rent hasn't increased since I've lived here, jay did tell me that when I moved in and that hasn’t changed she is great. We haven’t received any notices about the new gate or the front gate. No one tells us anything anymore. We used to get newsletters that doesn't happen either. The area is great I'm near everything shopping, movies and places to eat! The school that my children attend is close to the apartments as well and the day care is down the road! We love it here just a few things need to be updated and changed!!!! The price is wonderful too to say what we have! The trash area can look better trash sometimes get very messy around the dumpers and it smells bad! They do need to do something about that especially on the weekends!!

We have been at Live Oaks for over 2 years now and we love it. We are only moving because we have purchased a house. Tammy and Jaye are fantastic to work with. They are very pleasant and responsive to questions. We've had no issues at all. Any maintenance requests have been taken care of by Steven quickly, again with no issues. Steven will see us in passing and even ask how things are going and if we need anything. They are all very prompt and courteous. We find it to be quiet and have had no issues with parking, and our neighbors are all great. Our apartment is very spacious and has nice amenities. The bedrooms and closets are HUGE! Our family has thoroughly enjoyed the pool area. We have lived in other apartments and overall, this has been the best experience by far. I highly recommend Live Oaks with no hesitation.

This is our third year living at Live Oak and I cannot tell you the love I have for this place. From the very beginning the office staff has been so lovely and helpful. Our maintenance crew is like family and take care of everything the same day. It is like a little neighborhood with everyone looking out for each other. Super quiet and a safe place if you have children. We feel like we really lucked out when finding this gem.

I've had the pleasure of residing at Live Oaks Apartments for 8 years now and at one point I moved out with thoughts of a different scenery only to return within the same week. Throughout my 8 years at Live Oaks it's been a wonderful experience... My neighbors are all amazing and the attention from the office is second to none. Anything that needed to be fixed in my unit was handled as if I was top priority and the complex is the most attractive in the city and well maintained. I would sincerely recommend Live Oaks to anyone that desire a peace retreat with access to all of the luxuries of the city. Thanks Live Oaks for making the last 8 years a treasure memory!

I recently moved out of a one bedroom in July. I keep calling for Tammy the manager but she doesn't want to return my phone calls. I even emailed her and, yet she still hasn't answered. I remember she told me not to worry about getting my carpet clean when I moved out and yet she charged me for it. I always paid my rent on time. This place didn't have problems until after Jackie left and Tammy took over! The maintenance guys would always leave something on in my apartment such as a light or leave their tools, but at least they were nice and didn't steal from me. I just wish she would call me back. So I can receive my deposit back. I don't get it. She can't be that busy. When I would go into the office to pick up my packets she wouldn't be doing anything at all! She wasn't even professional when I would go into the office. She would never get up and help! She would say one thing and then the next day she didn't say it. I know for a fact she told me not to worry about getting my carpet clean and now she is telling me that I owe the complex money! She is allowing this community to go down hill! All of my neighbors felt the same way as I did about her! But they did keep the community clean.

I have lived at Live Oaks for three years and I love it!!! Maintenance is wonderful here, and I have never had any issues with them. Maintenance is available 24/7 and they are always quick and courteous! The girls in the office are always helpful, courteous and polite! Spacious apartments, very well-kept property, outstanding maintenance, outstanding location (close to a score of good restaurants, stores, superstores, shopping malls and movie theaters etc.). The community is gated, extremely quiet, and very safe. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone!

Maintenance is lazy and they just walk around. They are always on their phones. The Property Manager is very rude and mean. It's very hard to break a lease its like pulling teeth! ITS NOT QUITE ANYMORE! IT'S like they are letting anyone move in. Its going down here. The noise from the traffic is horrible and traffic by the road at night I can hear everything. I have leaks from my windows or the roof no one knows! I wouldn't recommend this place at all! My rent keeps going up and no improvements have ever been made! New street more noise.

When we first moved in Live Oaks seemed to be amazing but slowly things started to break and would never get properly fixed. Management changed and it got even worse. I HAD TO TAKE MATTERS UP WITH THE PROPERTY MANAGER. HUGE HEADACHE...I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT !! The manager Tammy is absolutely terrible. She yells at everyone! Her staff is scared to death of her. She kept telling me to get the carpet clean! Why clean the carpet when I'm moving!? I'm happy that I've moved away from her! They try to make it impossible for you to move out. If you want to be happy i would suggest staying FAR away from this place. Rent is ALWAYS increasing for no reason at all! Maintenance takes a long time (a week or longer) to fix issues including a/c and heat which have needed to be fixed on multiple occasions and they still won't replace my units. Must call them numerous times to get someone to even visit and look at problems. TERRIBLE parking. This complex is too expensive for what you get.

This apt complex has unfortunately gone down over the past few years. New street going to increase noise from traffic. Mostly quiet.
