Avondale East Historic District is a tiny community within the Montrose neighborhood, which is known for its vibrant arts, nightlife, and dining scenes. As its name implies, Avondale East is a preserved neighborhood and maintains a quaint charm illustrated through its famed red sidewalks and architecture. As a 20th century abode for Houston’s earliest movers and shakers, many of the homes here were custom built for the original owners, so each building feels unique. Today, Avondale East remains an upscale neighborhood offering high-end rentals. The neighborhood feels old-fashioned, but you’ll have access to plenty of modern amenities.
