Restaurants

-

One of the things that Brandon is most known for is its many options when it comes to cuisine. Specifically, there are some great non-chain and locally owned restaurants worth checking out in the area. No matter what you may be in the mood for, there is a good chance that you can find a small, locally operated restaurant that serves up the best of that cuisine in the area.

For example, one restaurant worth checking out for those who enjoy great sandwiches and salads should check out Newk's Express Cafe, which is located off of Stribling Lane. While the selections are a bit limited, many locals rave about the quality of the food served up here. This is an ideal stop for a delicious lunch, but with the larger portion sizes, this could easily be a dinner choice as well.

If you are in the mood for something a little more diverse, then you might want to check out Sway's Bistro. This is one of the most popular local eateries and is a great option for dinner. Sometimes, on busier days, it may be necessary to make reservations due to the restaurant's relatively small size. Whether you are looking for hamburgers and sandwiches or even pastas and steaks, you can be sure to find what you are looking for on Sway's menu. The cozy atmosphere will also make you feel right at home here as well.

Louisiana is known for its barbecue and soul food, and if that is what you are in the mood for, then look no further than Heart & Soul Diner, which is conveniently located on Municipal Drive near many other local businesses. Here, you can find just about any kind of soul food you could possibly imagine on their large menus. The great thing that many locals like best about this place, however, is that they have reasonable prices and large portion sizes. Furthermore, the atmosphere is enjoyable and many locals rave about the service.
