Broadway Park dates back to the 1970s when a developer built a handful of single-family houses geared toward home buyers working in Oklahoma City. Some of these houses occasionally become available for sale, but little new construction exists in the area, and most residents rent apartments rather than own homes. The Edmond Historical Museum, located 6 miles north of Broadway Park, exhibits artifacts reflecting the area’s history from the early days as a railway station to the late 20th century. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum highlights Oklahoma City’s prairie history.
