Bordering the Delaware River on the edge of New Jersey is Burlington City, a bustling community with a population nearing 10,000. Assiscunk Creek flows right off of the river and through the city of Burlington. Burlington Island is a part of Burlington, even though it’s separated by the river, and its historical significance brings value to this town’s residents. To learn more about Burlington’s colonial history, visit the annual Wood Street Fair every September. Burlington locals sell their crafts and enjoy watching colonial history reenactors on the riverbank.

Once you find your apartment in Burlington, dine at Riverview Restaurant and bar, a modern setting with American food and a large patio overlooking the beautiful Delaware River. On the corner of Jones and East Board Street is Doc‘s Pub, an Irish sports bar with great food, friendly service, and live entertainment. A little further off the river is Third State Brewing, the best brewery in Burlington. And if you have a sweet tooth, make sure to stop by Juniors Cheesecake and Desserts off of Veterans Drive.
