Capitol View is a neighborhood about a mile-and-a-half west of Downtown Des Moines. Nestled along the Des Moines River, Capitol view offers great opportunities for outdoor recreation and there are several parks in the neighborhood. Residents flock to Pete Crivaro Park for summer barbecues and pool days while the John Pat Dorrian Trail offers riverside views for bikers and joggers.
