Living in Constellation Pointe

History

-

Constellation Pointe sits on land that has had human inhabitants since 9,000 B.C., when the area was believed to be seasonally occupied by early Paleo Indians. The first 300 European settlers arrived in the late 1830's, forming a community referred to as the "Old 300." In 1893, the town was officially named League City, followed by the construction of League Park in 1897. By 1914, League City's population had risen to 500 and the town continues to grow today.

The Butler Longhorn Museum and Heritage Park on Coyrell Street hosts multiple exhibits featuring early cultural artifacts and works created by local artists. The museum also hosts annual events such as the Butler Longhorn Museum Gala and a Wild West show.

The inviting atmosphere of Main Street's cozy dining room coupled with signature menu items creates a truly winning combination. For down-home comfort food served in a welcoming, family-friendly establishment, head to Kelley's Country Cookin', also conveniently located on Main Street. With menu items such as homemade corn bread and dressing, chicken fried steak and catfish served with creamy mashed potatoes, Kelley's feels like a home away from home.

If you're hungry for authentic Mexican cuisine, check out San Lorenzo Mexican Restaurant on Marina Bay Drive. Featuring amazing happy hour specials such as $1.99 margaritas and discount appetizers, as well as out-of-this world authentic Mexican cuisine served in a festive dining room, San Lorenzo is a Constellation Pointe favorite. Signature menu items include the Apaseo dinner, a satisfying meal of tamales topped with cheese and enchilada gravy with a beef taco on the side, as well as the Don Primo, a heaping plate of cheese enchiladas smothered in sauce with a tasty chalupa on the side.
