What do residents of Double Oaks love about their community? For starters, it’s affordable and minutes from Downtown Charlotte – you can even see the skyline from Statesville Avenue. The community is very walkable, accompanied by new apartments, businesses, shops, and restaurants on bustling streets.

Even though it’s close to Charlotte attractions, Double Oaks has a very suburban feel. Double Oaks Park and Anita Stroud Park provide outdoor recreation for the locals. At Anita Stroud, you’ll find plenty of green space, plus picnic areas and staircases painted in vibrant, retro designs – groovy, huh?

Residents of Double Oaks find comfort in their direct access to Interstate 77, Fillmore Charlotte music hall, Johnson C. Smith University, and Johnson & Wales University – Charlotte campus.

People in my neighborhood do support local and state level sports People put up signs in their yards in support a particular politician during elections.

I feel very safe in my neighborhood. I don't have any concern in the areas mentioned above or it does not apply to my neighborhood.

Across from my residence is an older community and for the most part the homes are maintain well. On my side of the community there are band new home and town homes being built. My community will be a mixed income community. The cost of housing is very reasonable for the neighborhood. It is near my city's uptown area. As for utilities I only pay for electricity and the monthly rate is at or below the average cost for electricity for an apartment.
