Downtown Johnstown is about 40 minutes northeast of Columbus, and the tree-filled streets have a somewhat rural appeal with the amenities of a small town. Most commercial activities take place along South Main Street and Johnstown-Utica Road, with the Old Horseshoe Restaurant and Tavern a particular local favorite for its shrimp and grits and other home-style food.
