I have been a resident of Florida for 8 years and East Lake/Tarpon Springs for 6 years, and it has overall been okay. Nothing extremely bad but it isn't that exciting either. We moved for the schooling options and it was worth it, but I definitely will not be staying after graduation.

Like the quietness, except for the traffic when you get to the main road. Lots of parks. Lots of trees. Walkable areas. Close to gulf course and YMCA. Feeling safe.

East Lake is friendly, with a lot of people, good education (especially for engineering), close to downtown Tarpon Springs. Housing is nice, but people are not caught up in who owns what, and are typically very friendly. In addition, there is an unlimited retro arcade in the area, which is AMAZING!!!
