East Ridge is a midsized Chattanooga suburb located right on the Georgia state line. The community’s landscape is almost entirely covered by residential neighborhoods, with an abundance of affordable apartments and houses making up most of the local rental market. Ringgold Road serves as the commercial backbone of the city, lined with everything from national chain restaurants and big-box stores to mom-and-pop diners and locally-owned specialty shops. Surrounded on three sides by the city of Chattanooga, folks in East Ridge are easily able to take advantage of the amenities and resources of the neighboring city without going far from home—Downtown Chattanooga and the Chattanooga Airport are both only a few blocks outside of town.
