Edison Park is a great place to live especially for you have young kids because of our natural instincts of protecting our kids , we would want them to grow up in a safe neighborhood. But lack of diversity in this neighborhood is a big concern . If you don't look like the majority , then you should just be careful of yourself and where you to to shop because there is a lot of negative non verbal cues and negative body chemistry that tells a minority person that they are not wanted and welcome in the in the neighborhood. This reminds me the famous quote of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior .''Do not Judge me by the color of my skin but rather Judge me with the content of my character. The quote is absolutely lacking in this neighborhood . I think there is beauty in diversity that every human should embrace and not see as something bad or a threat .

Overall clean, quiet and family oriented neighborhood. I hope it stays this way and a lot of crime does not creep into the neighborhood. Also, I hope the Edison Park area resturants stop closing...we dont need too many more vacant storefronts and resturants...otherwise the neighborhood will start to go down and it will start looking like 6 corners

Safety is a must for raising my family, Edison Park gives me that security. EP is unique to Chicago in that there are no other neighborhoods that compare.
