Nestled along Susquehanna River, Forty Fort is a conveniently located suburb just outside of Wilkes-Barre — home to King’s College, Wilkes University, Kirby Park, and an array of theaters, restaurants, retailers, and bars. Although Forty Fort itself is a small town, there are plenty of entertainment, dining, and shopping options around. Major metro areas like Scranton are only 20 miles outside of town, and residents can even get to New York City or Philadelphia for a fun weekend getaway. Residents have easy access to Interstate 81 and the Wilkes-Barre Wyoming Valley Airport. Public schools, restaurants, sports complexes, athletic fields, and small businesses make up the majority of Forty Fort.
