Gates Mills is a scenic Cleveland suburb that sits just 24 miles east of the city and about 15 miles south of Lake Erie. Residents enjoy a plethora of wooded areas that lend the area a peaceful feel and park-like atmosphere. There are incredible secluded homes for rent in the immediate area and upscale apartments just west of the village. You’ll find most of Gates Mills eateries and shops along Chagrin River Boulevard, but most residents will tell you to travel to surrounding neighborhoods like Mayfield Heights where you’ll find Golden Gate Plaza, a convenient outdoor shopping mall.

Interstate 271 runs alongside Gates Mills western border and serves as a corridor to Downtown Cleveland and the rest of the cities situated alongside Lake Erie.
