Not far from Waco, Killeen, and Temple is the city of Gatesville, which was dubbed the “Spur Capital of Texas” by state legislation in 2001. How did it receive that title? Coryell County Museum houses approximately 10,000 pairs of spurs – one pair having been previously owned by former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.
