Urban Parks Arboretum Mass Transit Wooded Commutes

Gateway is a small, triangular neighborhood that sits directly north of the US National Arboretum, with New York Avenue separating the two. The neighborhood consists of single-family homes perched along tree-lined streets. A commercial district is located between New York Avenue and V Street. The neighborhood is home to the Dakota Playground, a tree-filled park with playgrounds, picnic areas, and basketball courts. Gateway is great for commuters, located about four miles northeast of Downtown DC. Residents can reach downtown quickly via the Rhode Island Ave Metro Station, located in neighboring Brentwood.
