Hazle Township is a rural town that surrounds Hazleton in Luzerne County in eastern Pennsylvania. Hazle Township is located about 45 miles southwest of Scranton and only 25 miles south of Wilkes-Barre. Because this major city is nearby, residents can easily commute to and from this metro area for work or leisure. The easiest route to get residents to both Wilkes-Barre and Scranton is Interstate 81. Although Hazle Township is mostly made up of rural land, the city of Hazleton offers an array of affordable rentals, chain restaurants, specialty stores, and modern conveniences. This town even offers great schools like Hazleton Elementary School.
