Shaped like a shark's tooth, Hickory Ridge follows E.W.T. Harris Boulevard between Pence Road and Albermarle Road, ending at the narrow Guice Crossing Lane. Hickory Ridge is an attractive neighborhood featuring several lakes, creeks, and streams. Attractive houses perched along tree-lined streets sit next to apartment communities, providing a variety of rentals to choose from. Hickory Ridge is ideally located just eight miles east of Charlotte and six miles south of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

The Waverly Swim & Tennis Club is situated next to Waverly Lake, which the club stocks with fish. The club also features a 25-yard swimming pool with diving boards of varying heights, a wading pool, and a clubhouse. For shopping, Hickory Ridge residents have a variety of options. Albermarle Road is lined with several shops, restaurants, and businesses, and you'll find several bus stops along the strip, as well. E.W.T Harris Boulevard is also a commercial area, home to places like Aggie's Ice Cream & Grill and the popular Deli El Salvador.

We dont have a lot of crime since is a medium to small town. As well as accident rates are low. i feel very comfortable here and safe most of the time
