Hickory Ridge is ideally located just eight miles east of Charlotte and six miles south of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
The Waverly Swim & Tennis Club is situated next to Waverly Lake, which the club stocks with fish. The club also features a 25-yard swimming pool with diving boards of varying heights, a wading pool, and a clubhouse. For shopping, Hickory Ridge residents have a variety of options. Albermarle Road is lined with several shops, restaurants, and businesses, and you'll find several bus stops along the strip, as well. E.W.T Harris Boulevard is also a commercial area, home to places like Aggie's Ice Cream & Grill and the popular Deli El Salvador.
